All Original 2002 Acura RSX Type-S DC5 - New Mugen Wheels | Brake Refresh | Maintenance (Episode 2)

- In this episode of this series, we will be performing some necessary maintenance including engine oil, manual transmission fluid and engine coolant.
Then we will jump into refinish all of the brake calipers back to the OEM silver finish along with brand new OEM brake pads and StopTech slotted rotors.
To finish it off, we will installing a new of brand new Mugen NR Zwei (17x7 +45) along with a set of Pirelli P-Zero tires.

As a dc5 owner myself, I appreciate the content you guys have been brining to the youtube community. With the New 2022 Integra type S, I think it is going to bring up the DC5 value.
That depends on if Honda screws it up. If it's good, value will stay the same, if it sucks ass, value will go up. Just my uneducated opinion.

Perfect color choice for the wheels. Really nice contrast to the silver paint. It is always a treat to open up Mugen parts from King Motorsports. Only thing that I would have done extra would have been to ceramic coat the wheels prior to the install. That is one lucky teen who will be getting to roll around in that sweet car. Hopefully he will treat it nicely and not beat on it too much. I would love to find such a clean stock example of an RSX-S to own. Great job as usual on the video guys, it's like Christmas morning when a new ACH Garage video shows up in my RUclips feed!!

Wish I never sold mine…I’m confident that the DC5 will eventually become like the EM1 in value over the next 10 years. Pick a clean one up while you still can at a relatively affordable price.
The teenager that will be driving this is one lucky young man, lets hop he looks after it. Car looks amazing and you good folks have done your usual top quality work to make it look even better, it's surprising the difference a new set of wheels and tyres make to the overall look of a car 👏👏👍

NICE! Wait until you see the new Integra. My friend in new model gave me a sneak peak the other day. And I sat in the NSX Type S too. Totally unbelievable!!

This is so clean. I mean, I picked up the Xtra series from Brembo and anything after 30 mph it sounds like a freight train is going down the highway. At highway speeds it’s almost unsafe. Had Honda check everything for hub damage, everything is fine. They said it’s def the brakes. They are drilled or “dimpled” I don’t know what to do, after seeing this the stop techs are really nice!! My brembo are already rusted to hell. Not even 2 months on. I don’t know what’s wrong, all brackets are ok. It’s as if the pads are grinding down the rotors :(
Nice brakes! I’m running the same rotors except w/Hawk HPS pads on my 07’ TL-S and get almost zero brake dust and exceptional stopping power. Keep up the excellent content! 🏁

Like a 1.5" drop on BC BS Coils w/swift springs, a Type R lip kit and a 2005-2006 Type S trunk lip spoiler would be magic!

I'd like to find a DC5 so prestine like this in my country... here many of them are so used, high mileage, with some kind of crash (sometimes bad repaired) or pimped that many are like a russian roulette of money.

All the rust in the hubs should be cleaned out before placing the new rotors into place , to make sure the rotor seat flat on the surface , other than that good work

I didn’t even know Honda made a 5w30 synthetic oil. I’ve always used mobile 1 in motor and oem in the tranny.
Dealer has all fluid in individual bottles

You did a great job on the car but your tire guy dropped the ball because the yellow dots on the tires are supposed to be oriented in front of the valve stem to insure less weights placed on the wheels.
I’ve been aware of that DOTS are placed for that special Reason Didn’t You guys at AHC !?!
I hated removing the oil filter on those K series. It gets everywhere on lower control arm.

Great vid but reasoning for using old disc brake hardware such as the bracket clips and pin boots?
What happened to the OEM fluid hand pumps designed for filling transmission and rear differential?
They leave more mess than our homemade invention

So this is replica mugen wheels By Enkei.. made for Honda ?
No sparkplugs? Interior filter and air filter?
Both engine and cabin filters are new. Spark plugs are still in good shape and no need for replacement until probably 90k

We have yet to find a color that close to the zinc finish

These guys work at Acura. They probably source stuff out that’s discontinued from other dealers eith NOS parts
They are factory Oem part, still available at your local Acura dealership

The gap it's too big , the set up.it's nice but at least it should've been lowered 1.5", looks like a 4x4 with the gap..
The wheel gap is a bit much. But like we mentioned, this is the first car for a teenager. We are playing it safe until he gets acclimate with the operation of the vehicle.
