8:55 you dont need to remove the whole front end to drop the subframe. The front and rear motor mounts are easy access underneath the car. Just do those two mounts, tie rods, and four 17mm lower subframe bolts, remove or cut brake lines and abs sensors. Disconnect exhaust from subframe on some by cutting the rubber hangar. Then remove strut nuts and the whole subframe bs will come straight down to the ground lol. Removed my swap out of an 05 type s a few weeks ago in 40 minutes.
I remember the junkyard days before they listed cars on a the site or app. It was always a a great feeling when you scored. You didn’t know what you were gonna find that day
If anyone walked by just before you started and then happen to come by the same car later that day and saw all that was done they would be convinced you had two other people helping 😂
Thank you for the good info ! I’ve been going to the yard for smaller parts and every time I see the engine in a TL or Rsx I really wanna try to save it but trying to do research first
Why would anyone junk a perfectly nice running K20 or k24 wtf is wrong with people, don't they know these motors are the premium inline 4 cylinder engine's of the century.
The transmission or clutch was probably bad, no one sane would sell a car that's worth an easy $4-5K to a junkyard for $300. We don't know for sure that the engine is good either.
@@FuKkAbitchAsz187this. I had a buddy scrap an 01 prelude in perfect working condition because the dealer wanted $2k to replace his pcv system which was throwing a cel. He needed a car that passed emissions and inspection.
Not sure is anyone has asked this or done this. I purchased for my son an 04 Civic Coupe LX. I want to do a Father Son project of it and swap everything from the RSX. Are they interchangeable?
David Font I found out that it’s mostly being in the right place at the right time. I do this daily and I have the Capital to cover all the purchases when they come up. Some days it’s a few thousand.
frgottenfrshness same here in central Florida a lot of accords and crappy d16y7 civics. When something good comes in it’s already been picked through by the employees.
Robert, thanks so much for these videos and the great content! I'm getting prepped to pull a K20A2 out of an RSX soon for an EF8 swap. QUESTION: would it be a good idea to keep the hubs from the RSX to put on my EF? Hope you can shed some light and advice.
@@hush22performance1 thanks or the quick reply! One last question for now, can I just use the RSX axles then and pair them with my current stock CRX hubs? Or are Hasport axles ultimately the way to go to work with my stock CRX hubs?
88r3ckless I was told that the yards there has what is called an exporter. The exporter buys all the racks and pinons for what I believe is a business that rebuilds and resells
What’s going on Robert, what size is that smaller Milwaukee impact you using? And then the other one you have is 1/2? Saving this video for future purposes!

Damn that premium helmet on that perfect hair!! Great stuff Robert.
It’s nice to hear someone talk so affectionately about the two cars that I own😁
"Question is.....how bad do you want it!" Literally stopped the video to comment this after seeing that .....love it!
Thank you for putting up quality content. Really enjoy your videos
Now this is how to do a yard video, many youtubers could learn.

I like the way you take care to remove the parts that some one else might need. I also do that when out in the yards
impressive work for a 1-guy job. lol. thanks for taking the time to film.

They prefer direct injection engines that can blow at any time.

Not all people that drive an rsx type s are honda junkies

Bro awesome channel and filming with perfect explanation
Damn robert you hitnthe jackpot great video!
Man I would have loved to have those seats!
Amazing videos as always!
Me to man me too
That was awsome great video. i wish i could be there pulling ks all day.and getting paid.
such a score!!! Your lucky! I surprised you didn't take the wheels and seats also.
this guy will definitely be getting rich at some point in time in his own life
Why is that Type S even in the yard?! Did it get hit somewhere?
one man gang
How much did u pay for all of the rsx type s stuff
All the respect for what you do and the work you put in for it
What model impact are you using?
How much did it all cost at the end?
You forgot the steering wheel, if it's original and not worn out that is. People like to install those in old Hondas
Honrarri 9K RPM EKs are straight swap, EGs have different spline, it is more work
What app are you using?
I hardly even see RSXs on the road THAT clean. Just look at those headlights & the body. Wtf is wrong with people scrapping cars like that???
Nice score👍
I got a question any help will a k24a2 header fit a k24a1 i got a 06 accord and my stock one crack an i wanna put affer market headers instead
Just ran into your channel. Love it. Subscribed.
thank you very much
Just curious, how much did you pay for the premium type s full swap?
This is some quality shit bro thank you for giving the knowledge for free on youtube !!
So savage with that drop 👍🏼👍🏼 One Man Army
do you guys have a Clean Quarter pannel for both sideS? ican buy?
Not sure is anyone has asked this or done this. I purchased for my son an 04 Civic Coupe LX. I want to do a Father Son project of it and swap everything from the RSX. Are they interchangeable?
How do I get this good . Your amazing I work out of my car on a dirt driveway and this makes me get off my ass.
Go to a junkyard and just start wrenching on shit, most Honda’s of the same generation you notice have the same trends. They’re easier than you think.
Damn i can never find a decent K and you found 2. Imma have to go out west to search lol
David Font I found out that it’s mostly being in the right place at the right time. I do this daily and I have the Capital to cover all the purchases when they come up. Some days it’s a few thousand.
It's really hard to find them in Idaho mostly the crappy honda accords not many RSX or TSX here unfortunately
frgottenfrshness same here in central Florida a lot of accords and crappy d16y7 civics. When something good comes in it’s already been picked through by the employees.
Will the non type S harness work or only the type S from the 02-04 harness?

Garett Malate no it would work like that. You can use the RSX Type S if you use Karcept 36mm hubs with Hasport Axles.
@@hush22performance1 thanks or the quick reply! One last question for now, can I just use the RSX axles then and pair them with my current stock CRX hubs? Or are Hasport axles ultimately the way to go to work with my stock CRX hubs?

For me this would be the heaven.
Well done 🤘🏾 learned a lot from this 🙏🏽
What is the app?
I need those tsx headlights!!
Good job getting that k24 into the wheelbarrow, but omg Holy Hack Job!

Hey Rob. What's the deal with the demand in the rack and pinion???

I want to swap my '18 FIT.
4:53 I cried :( so sad
Mr. Vtec yeah bro like you think it did any damage ?
Around here the workers at the yard take anything good before it even gets to the yard

Badass!
Why was that rsx in a junk yard anyway I thought they go to insurance auctions
Why ruin a good car to swap into something instead use it as is or upgrade
If you are talking about the complete car in the junk yard even if it was in perfect condition they usually don't sell it complete due to either not having the title or the process of transferring them.
My shit got stolen I'm so hurt this was years ago too
That RSX I would’ve taken the whole car 😂
so that's what a unicorn looks like in the wild! Want the seats sooo bad! Why is this in a junkyard at all? They could've easily sold this car...?
knowledge is power.
a lot of people dont have power.
Score!
What should be saved if the car was an 06 Si?
ci637 same
You won't find those in Cali. 40 million people. They get stripped quick!
Why didn’t you just buy the whole car.
U shouldn't be throwing out all those bolts and nuts that another person could need them put inside the car
😨😨😨😨😱😱😱
why do people sell their perfectly good RSX Type S to a junkyard??? that's the real question
Pfft... Nice yard... Come up here it's all poop
