That’s amazing to hear. It is great for inflammation in the joints and muscles. I’ve actually started to incorporate a night time dip as well as a morning dip now!
Glad to hear cold dips are working for you!

@@zac_wilson_ how long good feeling last after do ice bath? a few hours??

It depends which way you look at it. I definitely feel more sharp and focused for the following 4-5 hours, but because I’m more productive in that time - I then feel better for the rest of the day!

I came across this video the other day after a friend convinced me to order a Nurecover. I have been quite anxious recently and this video definitely helped echo exactly why I cant wait for mine to arrive. Great video!

Sorry to hear that you have been feeling anxious recently, I know how that feels - it won’t last forever.
Hopefully the ice bath and building the habit will act as a catalyst for a lot of positive changes that lead to you feeling better.
Thanks for your comment and for watching and all the best. Let me know how you get on!
      Zac

Thanks for the vid. I've had my Nurecover for two weeks and have been loving the ice bath experience at around 10 degrees celsius. It's spring here in Australia and already warming up...I'm going to have to invest in a lot of ice during the summer months but I think its worth it for the buzz you get for the day ahead. Thinking of doing some heat therapy as well.

So glad to hear you’re enjoying it. Yeah I found this too in the summer months over here in the UK. I did a 90-day review where I talk a little bit about this too - check it out. I have found that sometimes the only way to combat having to buy lots of ice is to empty and refill late at night, and get in first thing in the morning.
      Keep up the cold plunges!

@@zac_wilson_ what kind of breathing do u do before and during ice bath?

    • @zac_wilson_
      @zac_wilson_  11 месяцев назад

      Hi Jeff,
Sorry I missed this comment at the time. I generally do 30 - 45 seconds of deep breaths, inhaling through the nose and out with the mouth. Pretty simple and I’m sure there may be other exercises that could be more effective but I have found this works for me.
The moment I start to feel a little light headed, I usually stop 🤣

how often do you clean it and can use a uv light to kill the bugs which one
also have u gotten a cold from doing icebaths

      Hi Samantha,
Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Now that I use Bromine granules, this keeps the water clean for around 2-3 weeks. Naturally being outside there are leaves and other things that get in the water that means I need to drain it and clean it again.
I’ve never had a cold that I can attribute specifically to the ice baths - if anything I feel like I have colds for shorter amounts of time now!
I have never used a UV light, sorry!

Very interesting, I’ve recently got mine 3-4 days ago and have only been in once . Been telling myself to do in the mornings but would be around 530am , so hard to create this new habit especially when it’s now so cold outside. That being said for the time I’m at work and think about why I didn’t do it , it would be easier to just do it and put it to bed… we go again tomorrow 😅

    • @zac_wilson_
      @zac_wilson_  10 месяцев назад

It is a hard habit to start, and one of those things that you just have to do and get out of the way.
Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of mornings when I could easily give it a miss. I don’t always lol forward to it, a lot of the time I dread it. But I know how good it feels with a bit of consistency and that’s what encourages me to keep doing it.
The first one won’t be that enjoyable, and immediately it will be freezing cold (especially if you are in the UK right now). But after 30 seconds or so, you will start to acclimatise a little bit more.
Rip the plaster off and give it a go! Even if you start by doing your first one in the evening to get started - it doesn’t really matter when you do it.
Keep me posted, would love to hear how it goes!

Thanks for this detailed review. Really helpful in my decision making.
Just had a question if you could help.
What do you do about ensuring its clean? Assume you shower before getting in, or maybe replace the water every so often?
Would you mind letting me know please? Thanks.

      Thanks for your comment.
I have a video on my channel of how to clean the tub, and I have another video coming out this week which will talk more about it as well.
I shower / wash before I get in, and then empty and clean the tub / change the water every couple of weeks (sometimes more if the water heats up from being in the sun, and I want cooler water - won’t be a problem in the winter).
      Hope that helps!
