Thanks Gerald. I am just doing a few videos to keep my hand in. Thanks for your Irish good wishes. My grandfather was Irish he moved to Maesteg in Wales to work in the coal mines in the late1800s.

@@thailandmyland...retiringd2351 If i may ask: What´s the reason you chose Hua Hin instead of island lifestyle? Infrastructure?

@@youtuber-MGTOW Hi. I love living on islands and I have lived on many of them over my life including Jamaica, Bermuda,The Falklands and Boracay. My favourite place to live in Thailand would be Koh Samui but it's too crowded in the high season. Hua Hin suits me better as it's central to other areas of Thailand for travel opportunities, whereas Samui is way down south. Hua Hin is a big coastal town with lots to see and do but not too big. I may decide to move to Samui again one day but I would travel away from the island over the busy season.
      Cheers

@@thailandmyland...retiringd2351Thank you for your answer, Ged! I can absolutely understand your decision. My favourite place in Thailand is a small beach on Koh Phangan but i would also settle in or around Hua Hin for similar reasons as you. Cheers, Andy

Thanks Ged interesting video. Gosh so many islands ! Maybe living on a small yacht is an option, with a mountain bike .
If you Get bored move onto the next one . Just an idea . Mooring fees need to be cheap. No issue with ownership of land either.

Hi Adrian. Yes that would be the life and mooring fees would be cheap compared to Australia. The problem would be if you were planning on living here on a retirement visa you need an address and confirm that address every 90 days. I am not saying that it can't be done but I don't know anyone in that situation so I am unsure of what immigration would require.
      Cheers

Haha yes the visa and I guess the bank need people at fixed addresses. In Australia there is an army of Grey nomads living in caravans . Only needing a P.O. Box . I guess nomadic lifestyles may not be approved in Thailand. It begs further investigation. My next step demands this type of lifestyle due to the very high accommodation costs. Getting old is tricky business 😢 thanks for your interesting videos and insight . We view it from a tourist perspective and know it’s a different story living there.
