I feel such empathy for you two. I know what this gator, all gators, mean to you. My heart is broken that he wasn't the one taking the food. I'm pulling and praying for him and you have thousands of other fans doing the same thing. I see success. I do. He's going to pull through! Manifest and visualize, pray and focus. Dino is going to make it. He's on HIS time line. ❤

On the side bar. I have been doing some research on my own for various reasons… On the topic of holistic medicine, primarily for animal, holistic medicine. I am already familiar humans use of holistic medicine because of the culture I grew up in in the interest I had growing up. Anyway thing that you were both educated in biology you might know about phytoncides. I’ve been trying to find other ways for my friends stricken with cancer to help fight it that isn’t so horribly hard on their bodies that aside, I started looking into it for animals one of the main reason ways to get phytoncides into our bodies is to inhale them. How do we do that well trees, exhale them certain type trees more than others so then I started thinking well it would be good for an alligator poisoned with lead to have that extra boost and I noticed the pond he is in
Is surrounded by trees. So then I started to try to identify what these trees species around him him being Dino. I think you have a couple of them that might be depositing phytoncides into the air around his pond. This just doesn’t seem like enough to help him so then I was thinking well garlic and a lot of other veggies naturally have phytoncides in them. But veggies and alligators. Don’t have a big history together lol not even sure if it’s good for them to eat them, but my mind working the way it does I still had to go into the direction of how to feed a carnivorous, alligator veggies, consistently, not as the only form of nutrients, but as a supplement… Then something occurred to me. Alligators eat animals and many of the type animals they eat are vegetarian‘s they’re herbivores, so maybe alligators via other animals stomachs are eating vegetables and benefiting from them and then this brought me to another thought… A lot of people who have amphibians and reptilesgut load their feeder food with nutrients including calcium. No chew do the same with Dino’s food except instead of crickets and roaches, do it to his unalived meat. You can throw powdered nutrients vitamin supplements and you also contains stuff garlic and stuff like that into the prey animal of choice to feed him right now. Like rats and stuff. This is just me trying to figure out a way to help Dino recuperate cause I’m already researching all this… I am so envious and I have mad respect for both you and Gabby becoming non-meat eaters… I have tried, and I’m weak willed, I guess. Makes me a hypocrite though and I’m not really comfortable with that concept at all. anyway, I hope you don’t mind me sharing what I find in my research, I brought up the vegan thing or vegetarian thing because I know that you would do nothing that is considered cruel even if it means helping, Dino. Since you don’t and won’t feed Dino live, pray, can you bring up something to maybe stir is in stinks to go and hunt like tie a already under live rat two or a little string that breaks easy and make it look like it’s swimming across the water… Anyway, I will let you go you’re probably thinking damn woman shut up… Lol🎉

Of course that would involve moving him and stressing him out, and yall are the pros tho! If you got the water low enough, you might be able to add some weed trimmings to his water creating a weed tea that he's swimming in. If people get the munchies, maybe alligators do too? Or maybe something along the same lines could induce appetite, possibly a lady Gator. Science experiments are how we make progress. 🤓👨‍⚕️

Darn I was really hopeful, vultures are what I was worried would be the culprit if not Dino, some species can smell rotting meat from miles away. Is there anything that could be given to him to try and flush out that sinker/fishing weight? Also guessing a thing like what they use for a colonoscopy to try and grab it is out of the question, difficulties aside not sure if any vet has ever done that on a gator.

I just finished watching this video after I posed that question. I had a phone call that distracted me. I love Condors being a Californian I grew up involved in Condor activism … this lead me to become familiar with other carrion eating birds…Including Black Vultures. I have two friends in New Jersey. Each had black vulture issues. I had to explain to them the vultures would not kill their dogs. 😮But in turn they shared stories about their black vulture experiences. In the process I have become very fond of vultures. I also found out how strong they are. Strong enough to carry meat away. So I thcoyght they might be your culprits

He has hunted FL waters for decades, he might eat rotten flesh, but likely hasn't had to often. That lead weight was likely attached to a live fish at one point.
