Absolutely. We shouldn't be expecting Afghani to sound like Martinet; we should be expecting him to sound like *Mario,* and as far as I'm concerned he's doing a fantastic job

I 100% agree with all these comments. People who critisize Mr. Afghani’s portrayal of Mario/Luigi are those who are just offended and think Mario is woke. I’d personally say this “Let the man cook his meal”, “Leave it to him”. Just let him voice act the character cause from what I can tell, he’s doing wonderful

Well, I think Kevin Afghani did a wonderful (no pun intended) job with Mario!!! He seems like a really nice guy in his bio on his website, so I just wanted to congratulate him on taking on Mario and Luigi for Martinet!! He said it was a dream come true, so despite what people think of his voice, we have to pay him a lot of respect. He seems like he's gonna have the time of his life!! Congratulations and good luck, Afghani!!
I think Kevin did a great job at both the bros, he brings a lot of enthusiasm to the characters. Though there are a few instances where Mario's voice sounds a bit off, sometimes the accent kinda wears off or molds into a different one. I'm sure as he continues to voice him he'll get a better consistency
I know I commented a couple times already, but that voice just sounds so adorable. What’s not to love about it! I love it! It almost makes me want to snuggle up with him. I call him Mario, Junior, and I called the other Mario, Mario Senior. Same thing with Luigi. Mario Junior Kevin is so adorable but I do agree. The accent needs work. And I do wish some parts didn’t sound like Mickey Mouse. But I’ve got more good to say about him than bad.

Exactly! The thing is, all the jump sounds, grunts, etc... sound almost 1:1 but that talking voice is just not that. I'm pretty sure Kevin Afghani will get that impression closer to Charles while bringing his own spin eventually. But for now, it is perfectly serviceable considering he doesn't talk a lot and it's Kevin's very first game so I'm pretty sure he'll be good.

Mario is a fat italian man with a giant mustache. Charles was as energetic as Mario could be. Kevin will do better eventually though.
I hear a bit of Mickey in there. Sounds a bit off at times but I'm sure he'll get the voice perfect after a few games.
