Great video. Wow you made compound butter, stuffing balls, parsnip & carrots, roasted potatoes, gravy, pigs in a blanket, Yorkshire pudding, peas, roast chicken, and bum nuggets AKA brussel sprouts all in one night for 20 quid while being half pissed yourself, knowing that you'll have to wait to film the B roll the following day... YOU ARE THE MAN and we are not worthy! But I did notice in the B roll that there were only 10 pigs in a blanket. Come on Adam, be honest, you had more than one 🤣. I'm glad you did the parsnips & carrots, and I've convinced my wife to let me make it to add to her Christmas dinner (her favorite meal of the year). It must be that I've earned her trust because of all the other recipes of yours I've cooked that she's loved. Hope you have a truly wonderful Christmas!

I was watching those videos - things like Dollar General Christmas meals for 6 people for under 20 bucks! - because I was fascinated that anyone could pull that off and frankly pissed off that I spend a fortune on holiday meals only to hear crap like, "I cut gluten out of my diet" or "I am vegan. This week." F*** off you pack of ingrates! Next time you are getting a suspicious-looking "sausage" roll and a box of crap instant mashed potatoes from the local 99 cent store. Then I find this video and was laughing out loud. You are hilarious. And your food looks great. So thank you. You have a new fan.

Far better results with the leftovers in a pie or a curry. Money saving tip - admittedly not much, but a spatchcocked chicken cooks more quickly and uses less fuel. Anyway, I hope that your Christmas is better than you expect, and I wish you all the best for 2023.
The last turkey I cooked I went all out on. Brined for 24 hours, compound butter, herbs the lot. Still wasn't as good as an ordinary chicken 🤣. Anyway a merry Christmas to you and yours Neil
@Adam Garratt I can only remember once or twice having been really impressed with the turkey, and one of those was a turkey crown. I think the main problem is that the breast meat cooks so much more quickly than the legs, and a little bacon simply isn't enough (perhaps a little on your chicken would have stopped the scorching) About 15 years ago when I could get hold of turkey legs for 50p (shudder to think what they would be now!) I would roast them on a Sunday - many times more successful than you could hope to expect for the price - but at the time, that was all we could afford.
Well it took me 3 times but I finally finished the video. Nothing better then a proper roast chicken. Looks good . Merry Christmas and happy new year Adam

I'd never heard of a king Edward potato before. I just looked it up. Is there another potato that i could buy in the USA that is similar? I'm thinking a red or yellow?
I realise I'm really late to this cracking video but the reason your chicken "scorched" was probably due to the cranberry sauce in the compound butter. The sugars in there will have caramelised which is why it's only the top you covered in the butter.
We have russets, Yukon gold and red potatoes. There is a fungus on the King Edward so they won’t allow them in the country. Have a happy new year! I’ve learned alot from you!

Sprouts... Shred then and fry in a tablespoon butter add chopped walnuts and sultanas. They have a cabbage flavour if you do it like this.

Ha ha - loved this! Watching in April - far be it for me to comment on your cooking but I think the chicken should have been on a lower oven shelf. Says she who stresses about Christmas Dinner - sometimes it's a blessing to be working Christmas Day. Totally agree about not caring too much after a few drinks!
I was knackered after this. It's stressful enough cooking a full Xmas dinner, but filming it as well is next level stress fest 🤣🤣😅

I'd never heard of a king Edward potato before. I just looked it up. Is there another potato that i could buy in the USA that is similar? I'm thinking a red or yellow?
Go for the red skin potato instead. They will work fine x
I realise I'm really late to this cracking video but the reason your chicken "scorched" was probably due to the cranberry sauce in the compound butter. The sugars in there will have caramelised which is why it's only the top you covered in the butter.

We can’t get King Edward Potatos here in the states :(. I tried, they won’t ship them here. MerryChristmas, Adam! Looks fabulous and delicious.
That's a shame, they are great potatoes. A russet would do though if you can get those
We have russets, Yukon gold and red potatoes. There is a fungus on the King Edward so they won’t allow them in the country. Have a happy new year! I’ve learned alot from you!
