Mate I stumbled across your channel about 3 weeks ago and I bet I’ve binge watched every episode from the 6 years lol. I love how you simplify things and make cooking look easy. I’ve already made your cottage pie with hash browns, sausage casserole and your bangers and mash. However my missus now hates me because whenever I now watch cooking programs and they say “caramelise your onions for 20-30 minutes” I shout “you lying B******s”! 🤣🤣 keep the content coming and I’ll deffo be making these sausage rolls for Christmas 👍🏼
Great recipe as always Adam, so easy to follow and they look absolutely delicious.. a tip my mother shared with me to prevent your apples going brown is pop them in lightly salted water ..thanks again for the video and the classic no nonsense humour..
The "Eat it or fuck it?" line broke me. 🤣 It's one of those foods I'm quite lazy with, I'll buy the shop bought ones for the kids, but this looks so easy and delicious, they'd probably enjoy helping me make them as well.
I reckon this is bang on with the cost of living stuff when you look at how much people spend on Christmassy stuff at this time of year- you're still saving people money! Those look absolutely banging 👍🏻
This is my first homemade sausage roll (having had only store bought in the past) and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I made two, planning on having one tonight between my wife and I and one tomorrow. But it was so good I ate one of them all by myself (my wife ate 1/2 of the other one) so now I'm going to have to cook another one of your recipes for dinner tomorrow :) Merry Christmas Adam!!
Hi Adam merry Christmas, the sausage rolls look great, I love the sausage, apple and fennel together wonderful taste. The singer you put in the beginning of your video, not heard of much in the states, but I know who he is, very important in the early years of music.
We are doing a cold buffet instead of the whole turkey thing this year so these will go down a treat. Mr Ramsey also uses fennel seeds in his snausage rolls so they will be making the cut.
Loved the idea of the stuffing and the apple. It almost turns it into a meal in a roll (well for those who avoid their veggies anyway)! Makes me wonder how a little festive dried fruit would work. Possibly cranberries (with or without a little of the apple) re-hydrated a little, possibly in a lit brandy even? It is Christmas after all! As for the offcuts of pastry, I would cut them into pie lids to go on top of a casserole to turn it into a cheats pie, the 'tops' can be separated with the paper used to stop the roll of pastry sticking together. I would imagine that they could be quickly cooked separately in the air-fryer, while the casserole is either cooking or being re-heated.
@Adam Garratt Quite. Pork, including bacons and gammons, is one of those versatile meats that goes so well with savoury, sweet, herby, or even spicy, yet it can still be delicious simply cooked. And there can be so little wastage. I remember someone once saying that the only part of a pig that couldn't be used was the squeak!
Lovely recipe as always. One suggestion though, if you lay the sausage meat left to right, trim, then left to rigjt again and so on, there's no leftover pastry . That's how I do mine anyway. Either way, I'm definitely going to try this and very soon. I also do ones with sweet chilli dipping sauce. Spread it on the inside of the pastry, lay the sausage meat down (left to rigjt of course lol) and make as usual. Delish. 😄
I would have normally left a snide snotty comment, but as we live in a world of safe spaces and professional hurt feelings I am no longer able to express derision on YT. Adam is a personal friend and he knows my rude comments are all in good fun. We love you Adam, merry Christmas to you and Mogs.
Morning adam great recipe mate make these all the time like you every thing from lidle BUTT never put apple or stuffing in the pastry there next on the to do list and as usual thanks for sharing this great idea PS making the chicken stew and dumplings today its - 5 this morning 🥶
Made them mate delicious didant last 2 mins put some pictures on your facebook page there wrong way round lol me and technology dont get on very well have shown the finnished thing first lol
Look good. No egg on the bottom? Why not add the fennel into the roll? Sesame I think is better crisped, but I'm more interested in the fennel. Also why not mix the stuffing mix and pork and apple into one?
Thanks. I was gifted this one by a company to review and it's pretty good. But I would think of an air fryer as just a mini convection oven that's cheaper to run and usually cooks the food a bit faster too. Anyting you can bake or roast in an oven you can do in one of these. Air fryer is a bit of a strange term for them really
Hi Adam, my wife’s in Lidl so I’ve just messaged her to get all the ingredients to make these rolls….my lot would love snacking on these…would you recommend a touch of cranberry sauce or leave it out?
I will get so much hate for this BUT hear me out: Stuffing like this around christmas especially with apple... needs a hint of cinnamon! Don't say a word when you haven't tried it at least once. Trust me on this. A hint of cinnamon will work like a charm here. It even belongs into a hearty chili and even stew. Similar like dark chocolate in some cases or redwine. Oh... another thing: prepeare home-made apple sauce and add this to your stuffing.

Just for the record, I did not in fact f**k it, it went In the bin 🤣
They look delicious! I love Christmas too!
Best time of year isn't it. My city used to have a Christmas Market pre covid, but they haven't bothered since 🙄
Thanks Adam, for another great budget recipe. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome Sheila
They look delicious Adam. My mum always made loads of sausage rolls at Christmas ❤️
I reckon this is bang on with the cost of living stuff when you look at how much people spend on Christmassy stuff at this time of year- you're still saving people money! Those look absolutely banging 👍🏻
I guess you're right. Think what you pay for pre made sausage rolls, well semi decent ones anyway. These cost me around 3 quid I'd say
Cooked this recipe this afternoon. We’re very nice. Thanks Adam😊
You're welcome mate
Delicious idea Adam a real winner maybe Gregg and his multiple shops would like the recipe ...
If they do, they can pay me for it 🤣
@@Adam_Garratt For sure Pal they can afford it
They look absolutely stunning!!
Nice one Adam sir,

Love sausage roll with cranberry sauce instead of apple or a bit of both.
Lovely and they look simple enough, even for me. Thank you.
You're welcome Fay x

Good old Cliff Richard. He's been around forever, and always pops up at Christmas like Michael buble 🤣
I smell sausage rolls!
Hell yeah!
Not Xmas but this long weekend this is my to cook and try for sure thank you Adam. 😊
I've also got a recipe for Italian sausage rolls too on the channel. They are also good. Have a great weekend

Sounds good mate. Doing beef and chicken this year because turkey is bum
@@Adam_Garratt The only turkey we buy is the £3.50 turkey thigh joint from tesco! Good value and it's easy to keep moist unlike a full bird
They look good Adam
Thanks Graham
