@HoroHigh369 Baltany makes some great watches. Like this 1921 VC homage: ruclips.net/video/XTfyWACgCFc/видео.html one of my favourites! Thank you for watching! 🙂👍
Ii is. I guess all those divers using friction-fit bezels in the 1930s, 40s and 50s should've stuck to timing their coffee, the same for pilots using Weems-type watches for navigation.
As always thanks. I own many NH based watches and have never had any issues. I wonder is it time for Baltany (I own three) to go the way of SM and make some original designs? They have build quality down to a science and their crystals are fantastic. Like many, I am moving away from homage watches. This watch is $170US but with different hands and dial I would pay $200 or more. Like said, the original is $1,000US, so there is room.
I too like the Baltany better than the Hamilton. Lume for one, bezel insert as well. And I really dislike the crown on the Hamilton. I like the crown on the Baltany much better. For power reserve, I don't need 80h power reserve. Its nice to have, but not something I need, especially not on a no date watch.
I have had this watch for a few months. Homage is stretching it a bit, it's a direct visual copy of the Hamilton. What's with the obsession with lume on these watch review channels. Unless you live under bright sunshine and never wear long sleeves it doesn't matter how much lume there is you're not going to see much and as it disappears quickly it's no use to read the time during the night. Come evening when you can still read the dial, there is insufficient light to fully charge the lume anyway. The only time I can see anything when it's dark is with tritium tube watches.
If the lume does not matter why would the bezel matter? why would water pressure level matter? ...? Why would we even make dive or pilot watches ,everybody dives and flies with computers anyway? It is heritage. In some rare situations it might be a back up solution in case your dive/fly computer fails and in that case you want STRONG lume.
I've got a pretty expensive Hamilton from a few years ago. Lume is absolutely atrocious. My Duro is much better and they are not exactly well known for good lume
I’m starting to take offence to the term homage when clearly it is a copy. Takes no artistic flair to crank up the photocopier and CAM it on the bench. Blatant rip off.
I love it.Thanks for previewing it. I am hanging out for the 11th November Ali Express Sale .
Beautiful. Might be my first Baltany! Thanks for a great review.
I have the Baltany Military Chrono and am very happy with it. Great build quality for an amazing price!

Another well executed watch and excellent value proposition release from Baltany.
*The friction fit bevel action is not really an issue for me.
Wish it had a date. There's so few options of divers with numeral markers. But I need a date
Another nice little watch.
Great watch. I like it even more if it had a bigger or union shaped crown. It's a pilot watch overall.
I’m no expert, but I think the friction bezel is historically correct for pilots watches of the era this watch is homaging.

Great review, which baltany would you pick, this one or the small seconds sb2081?

would love a date window !
If they release this in 40/42mm, it'll be awesome. 38mm is a tiny bit too small for my 7.5inch wrist.
I used to think that also a 7.5wrist now I think 38 looks large wearing 36 mm almost exclusively now
Hamilton HATES good lume. It prevents me from buying more of their pieces. Thanks for the video!
Haha, but yeah, it certainly seems that way :)
@TugboatBillSimpson Thanks for watching! 🙂👍
Baltany... please go to Miyota 9*** or VH31 to thin out your great pieces.
Nice 👍👍👍
@quarters-eye8922 Thanks for watching! 😁👍
Very nice. Put a 12 bezel on it and I will cancel my Baltic preorder.
Baltany can't seem to do anything wrong. I'd like you to review their new solar watch its something very different from them.
A watch with poor lume especially on something as expensive as the Hamilton is unacceptable…..
if its a hammy it fogs up
@zillsburyy1 😁
Sure for a extra 700$

My thoughts are.. It's OK for those that want one.. It's however Hamilton for me.
38mm is too small.

Let me know when it comes in a 41mm case.
