Vibrant colour dye used to be expensive. The protagonist's brother cell has a bright red blanket. Imagine going to to prison and find the most luxurious blanket you have ever seen.
It doesnt have to come to that. If they tell your brother is in prison and you brievely get arrested yourself just for being related to him, the simplest solution is to turn around the moment you're free to go and never look back. There, problem solved.

A little background for this game. Once upon a time, a Russian company made a game called Corsairs. Anything land-related was utter rubbish, anything sea-related was absolutely amazing, for the time. No other game existed like this. Quests were impossible to complete because everything was written in Russian, then horribly translated to English. And even the Russian part was totally broken and shitty. But nobody cared as long as they got a good frigate or corvette. Btw, the English version of the game was called Sea Dogs, for some reason. Then they made Corsairs/Sea Dogs II. Pretty much the same thing, perhaps slightly better graphics. And then they were working on the third version of the game. And then the whole Pirates of Caribbean thing exploded all over us like a pent-up virgin. So some genius in Hollywood sniffed out this game and approached it's devs, suggesting they revamp the entire setting for the game and rename it Pirates of the Caribbean. Huge bucks would soon follow. And the dickhea... the Russians accepted. And then the deadlines started to frustrate and annoy them. So after working on it for ages, and being unable to fix all the bugs and glitches, they just gave up, said "nahuy, zayebala," and released the game with the version number of v0.98. Nowadays, we would probably call it "early access" or whatever cope mechanism we like to use in order to fool ourselves into paying for unfinished goods. As in, like buying yeast under the name of "Bread, Early Access." But back then? Outrageous. The game sucked ass, passionately. The sailing part was still good, just the details in rigging and equipment were astounding. Standing on deck and letting a full broadside rip into your opponent felt amazing, especially after you downloaded a sound mod that replaced all the shitty gunshot sounds. But the rest of it was utter shit. I mean, it was all written in pretty bad Russian, then run through, I guess, an early version of google translate. The quests weren't just unsolvable, you literally didn't even know what they said, it was all gibberish. Half of them were simply broken anyway, because of all the bugs. The entire game felt like exactly what it was - a half finished product with a bad PotC glazing. Until some brilliant people created a total overhaul mod. They removed most of the PotC bullshit, like having to fight skeletons constantly, its rather idiotic lore etc. They introduced ship modding. They fixed quests, painstakingly re-writing and bug-fixing them. They made the game GOOD. And their website is still standing, just checked. Piratesahoy . net. Without their mod, this game is utter garbage. With it? Best sailing simulator, possibly ever. Just un-tick that "arcade" box, otherwise sailing will feel as bad and childish as it was in Black Flag. I mean, BF was fun, but I could sink or loot dozens of ships within minutes. Ridiculous. The real key is mastering the wind, the gut-wrenching feeling as your ship slooooowly turns before you can let off another broadside.
I really like eating something like noodles in the afternoon while I watch Kevin. Normally I watch him play Harry Potter on Thursday. Feels good to relax while watching Keving and having nothing to do 😊
When Kevin had to think of a sea shanty, the first one that came to mind was The Wellerman, and that shows that he's a man of culture and class because that's one of the two best sea shanties there are. FYI, the other one is Leave Her, Johnny. If you don't believe me, listen to Jared Halley perform them and you'll know I'm right.
OMG, OH MY GOOD HEAVENS!! KEVIN!!! This is the same game as your favorite Pirates of The Caribbean PC Game from 2003 that you've played, at least it uses the same engine. It was supposed to be called Sea Dogs 2 back in the days, but Disney bought the project from Akella and they remade the game and its story to include the Black Pearl and stuff. After this game Akella developed Sea Dogs 3, aka Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales (that flopped hard for being simple, shallow and buggy, a shadow of its former self), and after that they developed Sea Dogs City of Abandoned Ships (this is the real deal, the game actually came complete, with a bunch of new features, stories and gameplay), but they had help from the Seaward RU team (they were basically fans that used to develop mods for the game back in the days). Of course the Sea Dogs franchise (Corsairs as it's called in Russia) had other games and fan made big mod projects that presented themselves as completely new additions for the franchise and were made official by Akella themselves, but those are only available in russian, the ones I mentioned though are translated to english. After all this and Akella defaulting itself, BlackMark Studio (also a russian development team made out of fans of the game that ultimately became an official full flag game developing studio focused on Sea Dogs games) took upon themselves the job to continue Sea Dogs legacy and continued developing its future game entries with Akella blessings upon them. BlackMark then released Sea Dogs to Each of His Own on Steam in 2016 with the english translation, but the game was already available in russian since 2012 (it was the last game published by Akella before it ultimately default itself). Now in 2024 they released this Caribbean Tale game, each is also a Sea Dogs game, but they wanted to avoid any legal trouble they might have by using its original name. They also have in development a remaster version of to Each of His Own called Sea Dogs Legendary Edition on the way. Either way, if you really like the old Pirates of the Caribbean PC game from 2003, I recommend you play Sea Dogs City of Abandoned Ships, as it’s simpler than the latest releases of the game, easier to play and more fun in my opinion, it comes closer to the old game rather than the new ones, like a transition.
God, I remember this engine and these maps from playing Age of Pirates 2: City of Abandoned Ships, what a weird blast from the past. It was so janky and weird and the quests barely worked but it was still so fun.

Hey, Just so you and all your viewers know... This is the same game as Pirates of The Caribbean. For very complicated reasons, the Game Series is called "SeaDogs" and in reality there's several games in the series. It's semi-Abandonware, and all of them are literally the same game, same assets, same engine as from 20 years ago. Just now Various modding communities are making "new" games for it... that are little better than modpacks.

Reminds me that one forgotten Pirates of the Carribean RPG.
Same Engine and stuff :P I bought it, it is quite fun, the old one had such good music, was my childhood the old Pirates of the Carribean RPG. Until you hit the "bad save" bug.
Kevin would love Sid Meier's Pirates
I'm so glad I'm not the only person who noticed this looked like pirates of the carribean. I loved that game
Mom i want Skull and Bones
Mom: We have Skull and Bones at Home
Skull and Bones at Home:
And Mom was right, Skull and Bones At Home was better for us (in general and overall)
Fun Fact: This is a remake of a old game/series called "Sea Dogs." (This game in particular, is Sea Dogs: to each his own) and the Pirates of the caribbean game Kevin also played, was supposed to be the 2nd installment on the series, but (obviously) had Pirates of the Caribbean tacked onto it.
havent watched ur vids in years and am glad you still make banger videos
I still say that the most fun pirate game I ever played was "The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt" super simple, free, and you can exploit it by just colleting a huge fleet haha
theres something oddly comforting about the early 2010s graphic style
I like how the graphics are neither so dark you can't see it, or so bright you can't see it. it's almost like it was designed to be played by people with eyes and not just look artsy in promotional footage!
Vibrant colour dye used to be expensive. The protagonist's brother cell has a bright red blanket. Imagine going to to prison and find the most luxurious blanket you have ever seen.
I'm never asking about my brother ever again. Just to be safe
It doesnt have to come to that. If they tell your brother is in prison and you brievely get arrested yourself just for being related to him, the simplest solution is to turn around the moment you're free to go and never look back. There, problem solved.
Im addicted to your channel! Thank you for your work Kevin❤️
this seems like Fable but pirate-themed. the series continues but in disguise
This brings me back to the Pirates Covid streams
Sea dogs is ages old and still the best navarl rpg open world rpg with personal character out there. Its a true gem. Even with the movement that still sucks :-D
"I'm not that pay-it-forward kind of pirate" HAHAHAHAHA I don't know why but that definitely cracked me up!
The thought that pirates bury their treasure to pay it forward is funny and wholesome.
"Damn my eyes" is a hilarious thing to say when you meet someone new 💀
The AOE Wololo at 0:59 tripped me out
oh how I've missed Age of Pirates, thank you for exposing this game to me Kevin

Last night I was watching old Kevin streams of pirates of the Caribbean, the coincidence is unreal
Better than Skull and Bones is a very small bar my friend 😂
i started rewatching your potc streams a few days ago and here you go
It isn’t a proper Call Me Kevin video without him talking to random strangers and stealing things off of dead bodies.
CallMeKevin truly is a legend/sailing genius.
This was super interesting, thank you for the info!
@@CallMeKevin hi kevin
Nothings better than the pirates of the Caribbean video game
The introduction of quest markers in this refurbish is a great QOL update. They had that in the age of pirates line of sequels and was sorely missed.
Teach me to block block button right there on the screen never change kevin never change 😂
for once im early, just wanted to say thank you for making videos because you helped me laugh when nothing else would and theyre the only things that help me to feel safe enough to fall asleep. i wish i could have watched them with my sister because i know it would be an amazing memory to have with her.
At 23:54 I thought that sound was the alarm from Hitman Codename 47 when you get found out, then I realized it was just a truck reverse sound
Kevin doing his best Luffy impersonation, awesome!
Arrives at island, is oblivious to plot and fascinated by man's funny hat.
... Very accurate, actually.
@@Crit-Chance asks everyone to join his crew... 😆
Awesome vid as always, I do miss the pirates streams and battle tunes 😂
This has got to be the best pirate game I've never heard of!
Its a smaller community but with a lot of passion. And has many talented modders too that actively make mods for the game. For Everyone that loves PvE Pirate Games its a joy to play.
21:55 Bro this part 😭😭😭
On the bell drop down menu the titles are in a italiced font now. Pretty sure it is for making it for either watched or unwatched but at first glance it seems so sarcastic. Works for this one.
Ah, the SeaDogs game series was legendary. The translation may lack a bit, because the game is very old and English is not the dev's native language.
This game is a ctrl+c and ctrl+v of pirates of the caribbean published from betesda, maybe its from the same development team. I loved it. Great video!!
Could you ever go back to Hitman 2 and 3? They was my favorite series you did and I’m sad there is no more I need the nostalgia 😂
The wololo sound part was top! xD
Imagine a realistic pirate game, with executions for mutiny, slavery, colonization, sexual violence and general misery of how the real time period was.
It's a shame that we didn't find out who Mary is and why she is jealous.
An S-tier wifu. Buy the game, play for about 70 hours, and you will meet her.
Don't apologised for us seeing many of your videos Kevo, they make people's days ^^
Yes! I played Pirates of the Caribbean too and this looks like a more RPG version of it.
20:59 *Prepare for your first sea battle!*
Kevin, sees the *Russian* ship: Wait, THATS IT? Now I just feel insulted. I thought they'd send the whole fleet!
Damn, how life imitates art.
i was wondering if this was the same pirate game Kevin has played in the past. i'm glad he clarified cause the deja vu was real
Who knew all those “talk like a pirate” days in the Sims would come in handy? Ahoy as feck matey.
Never change, Sea Dogs. Well--- only change a little bit.
That was a good game. I remember stumbling upon it after I completed "Pirates of the Carribbean" multiple times, and trying to find some another great pirate game. Of course, if wasn't as good, as "Pirates of the Carribbean" was, but still, it gave me couple of weeks worth of entertainment
The only RUclipsr that can make me laugh within 30 seconds of the video lol
Omg i played that game so much back in 2003-4 on my xbox! Loved that game
