"They get married, she dies, he drinks poison, she gets revived, he's dead, she drinks poison, she dies. That's like a book written by a very bad ai" Shakespeare, writing Romeo and Juliet: *sweats*
I love how even before the story asked specifically for crimes you’d killed multiple times. Mostly Edgar. 😂 This is such a fun puzzle game, and I’m so glad you played it.
I love how he just randomly marries everybody to everybody, and has everyone cheat on/fight with/poison everybody, regardless of gender. It's weirdly wholesome. :)
Kevin changing a devastating heartbreak story to a homosexual love story isn’t the lore I was expecting but it’s the story we all deserved - maybe Turg possessed Kevin for that one 👀
Best part about the queen killing the knight who didn’t really want the job is that is pretty much the story of Lady Jane Grey who ruled England for 9 days. History, more crazy then even Kevin’s stories
This is an underratedly good classic Callmekevin's video. I enjoyed this one particularly. Something about the game and it being quirky in a way that evokes unexplainable nostalgia.
I saw a little trailer but don't know much about this but I'm excited to see more and I may actually try it myself! Games with more interaction and choice are really fun! It kinda reminds me of Scribblenauts in a way of choosing how it goes.
Honestly, didn't expect Kevin to play Storyteller but I'm glad he did! I absolutely loved the game myself so I'm excited for what they add in the future
The Frog kissing the witch is just Bartok the Magnificent. Also Mutually toxic love affair? Basically the plot of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
I was drinking water (never a good idea when watching Callmekevin videos) and at 3:58 the "THEN WE KILL BERNAND" Was so shocking I spot my water, choked, and had a coughing fit with tears while hanging over the sink. Amazing experience
I cannot be the only one that recognized the "Waiting for Godot" reference with the panels that were all waiting, right? I found that one especially funny. Nice touch. 😂
I think the first background music track is Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 and that's totally not something I expected to hear here. It's the most clear at 4:43 - 5:40
wow this game reminds me so much of another game called Bad End Theater! It’s another story telling game where every single story ends in tragedy and there’s like 40 endings.
i just realized that the lil characters edgar, isobel, and lenore are all based off edgar allan poe and some of his writings. i'm a little bit of a nerd when it comes to him lol 😅
Kevin saying that the double poisoning was like a bad AI story when it's literally the ending of Romeo & Juliet is hilarious to me.
Romeo & Juliet is AI generated, confirmed
@@RosyKitteh Shakespeare was a bot.
The ending of Romeo and Juliet itself comes from the Greek myth of Pyramus and Thisbe
Give him a break, he just learned how to read
*Insert a infinite monkey and typewriter joke here*
5:50 I love how Kevin says "it's like a book written by really bad AI" while basically retelling the finale of Romeo&Juliet
was looking for this comment or id have written it haha
Literally thinking the same thing. IT’S confirmed! KEVIN DOESN’T READ! 😂 5:39
@@Renegade24To be fair it was confirmed when he did the tutorial backwards
its essentially the 1000 monkeys with typewriters argument but its one monkey doing a thousand videos until he wrote the story
shakespeare liked this video
"Moral of the story: communicate or something. I don't know."
Thank you, Kevin, for your words of wisdom.
Kevin + Making a story = avengers level threat
I laughed a bit too much at that, caught me off guard w that one 💀
We all know about the supermarket monster after all
@@icantread9487 hmmmm?
We all remember the Stuart Little Story
Narrative threats sounds more like an SCP Foundation thing.
"They get married, she dies, he drinks poison, she gets revived, he's dead, she drinks poison, she dies. That's like a book written by a very bad ai"
Shakespeare, writing Romeo and Juliet: *sweats*
Iirc Shakespeare didn't think very highly of Romeo and Juliet so he might have agreed...
shakespeare is an ai?!?!
sorry you had to learn that way @@tophatteddd
I love how even before the story asked specifically for crimes you’d killed multiple times. Mostly Edgar. 😂 This is such a fun puzzle game, and I’m so glad you played it.
Kevin says bisexual rights but no Edgar rights
Edgar has the right to remain dying over and over
Man, I know Last Night in Soho got mixed reviews, but I don't think we should blacklist him from filmmaking for it
@@wDStarDust he dersves it after what happend
This seems like it could be kind of wholesome! Can’t wait to see Kevin make it weird

This seems like it could be kind of wholesome! Can’t wait to see Kevin make it weird!
ok why is this happening what’s going on
letting Kevin write a story is a novel idea and we all knew it was bound to happen !!!! 📖
You could say that the writing was on the wall
Don't crack your spine trying to leaf through these puns.
Ha book puns
This is actually a really unique idea for a game! Here goes Kevin influencing me to get a new game once again
I love how he just randomly marries everybody to everybody, and has everyone cheat on/fight with/poison everybody, regardless of gender. It's weirdly wholesome. :)
kevo always had those pansexual vibes!
agreed. but sometimes it's actually impossible to finish the level without the✨gay ✨
Kevin tortures everyone equally
@@anotherguy687a true ally
My favourite part was when Kevin said “it’s poison time” and poisoned all over the place
*to the tune of Closing Time* Poison Time!
Kevin changing a devastating heartbreak story to a homosexual love story isn’t the lore I was expecting but it’s the story we all deserved - maybe Turg possessed Kevin for that one 👀
Kevin is a romance and storytelling genius
"it's like a book written by really bad AI"
it's literally one of the most famous stories written by literally William Shakespeare
will *AI* m shakespeare🤨
Just because it's famous doesn't mean it's good.
Giving Kevin control of a whole reality somehow doesn’t feel like a good idea
"It's like a bad AI story" as Kevin literally writes the end of Romeo and Juliet
"I've got a strange game for you today" my man you could play Tetris and still make it funny, hope you okay Kevin :3
Now I really wanna see Kevin play tetris
Best part about the queen killing the knight who didn’t really want the job is that is pretty much the story of Lady Jane Grey who ruled England for 9 days. History, more crazy then even Kevin’s stories

Seeing Kevin playing Storyteller it's the best birthday gift I could ever ask. What could go wrong?
Happy birthday :)
@@Lovelyladykiss Thank you!
Happy belated birthday!
happy birthday :D (my b-day is in few days lol)
This is an underratedly good classic Callmekevin's video. I enjoyed this one particularly. Something about the game and it being quirky in a way that evokes unexplainable nostalgia.
I think the “Tiny and Hatey wait forever (both leave and come back)” is a Waiting for Godot reference aww I love it
Honestly this could make for a great learning game. A learning game that's actually fun.
About what subject?
@@lexa2310 Storytelling and lateral thinking. It'd be good for English class.
"Hey there friends, I've got a strange game for you today."
Every game is strange with you playing it, Kevin.
the one where the gnomes wait around and do nothing seems to be a reference to Waiting For Godot by Samuel Beckett (awesome)
Yep, the "level" is called Godot. Gave me a good laugh
Storyteller played by Kevin is NOT something I expected, but I sure am glad there's something to watch. 😝.
I wasn’t expecting to see the dwarvish versions of both Oedipus and Hamlet in this video, but here we are. 😂
I saw a little trailer but don't know much about this but I'm excited to see more and I may actually try it myself! Games with more interaction and choice are really fun! It kinda reminds me of Scribblenauts in a way of choosing how it goes.
"It's like a book written by a really bad AI" he says as he describes Romeo and Juliette
5:37 Recreates the plot to Romeo and Juliet. Calls it trash written by AI. You are my favorite.
I live this game so much. There's a mod with customized levels from fans of the game, I highly recommend it.
😯😯😯
Im so proud of kevin. He learnt to read. Today
Honestly, didn't expect Kevin to play Storyteller but I'm glad he did! I absolutely loved the game myself so I'm excited for what they add in the future
"It's like a book written by really bad AI" is actually a story by one of the greatest playwrights ever
3:24 "Edgar gets amnesia, looks at himself in the mirror and then he dies"
This is better than any Twilight novel-
“Now your upset. That’s good.” Always a fun time with Kevin.
24:17 this is a reference to Waiting for Godot!
The Frog kissing the witch is just Bartok the Magnificent. Also Mutually toxic love affair? Basically the plot of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Is that based off "Rickternal friendshine of the spotless mort"
I was drinking water (never a good idea when watching Callmekevin videos) and at 3:58 the "THEN WE KILL BERNAND" Was so shocking I spot my water, choked, and had a coughing fit with tears while hanging over the sink. Amazing experience
Edgar: *is alive*
Kevin: “I’m about to end this man’s whole life”
CallMeKevin is a story-telling genuis
Marvelous little game. I love when Kevin shows us gems like this one
I cannot be the only one that recognized the "Waiting for Godot" reference with the panels that were all waiting, right? I found that one especially funny. Nice touch. 😂
I think the first background music track is Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 and that's totally not something I expected to hear here.
It's the most clear at 4:43 - 5:40
"Tony and Hatey wait forever" is a reference to the play "Waiting for Godot" by Samuel Beckett. As an Irish person Kevin should know this!
Kevin playing this game is the thing i never knew i needed.
Poor Edgar, he can't catch a break no matter how hard he tries.
I wasn't expecting the penultimate challenge to be Waiting for Godot, but there you go
I remember watching Kubz Scouts play this and it was so good! Glad to see you playing it Kevin!
YESSS I was refreshing the yt page 10 times per second like a maniac, my family thinks I'm insane
i was always suspicious that kevin couldn't read but now i'm convinced he's a scholar😂
But not one that's read Romeo and Juliet. He's probably just more interested in the murdery plays.
Yeeeeeees thank you I've been waiting for you to make a video on this
Whenever he says Bernard like "Bernerd" I die a little on the inside
But Bernerd is the perfect type of name for the guy😅
Kevin is a storytelling genius
Truly, a storytelling genius
Props to Kevin for somehow turning this game into 20 minutes of watch time
Kevin: "kind of a storyteller game"
The game: _literally called "Storyteller"_
I wish you'd go back and do the bonus stories! There is a devil in them, Kevin, you'd love that.
cant believe kevin called the last act of Romeo and juliet "written by really bad AI"
To be fair, Romeo and Juliet is pretty terrible. Not even Shakespeare liked it, and he was just kind of pop culture of his time anyway.
I played the demo of this game and thought it looked dope as heck. Now I’ve seen good ol’ Kevo playing it, I agree with my previous assessment.
I'm glad I can rely on ur videos when I'm sad Love you Kevin
Kevin roasting the ending of Romeo and Juliet was iconic because I was furious when I finished that play in high school.
24:10 Huh turns out that English unit on Waiting for Gadot WAS useful
5:48 "Hey, poison time" - Call me Kevin 2023
Literally "Romeo and Juliet" plot.
Kevin: "Sounds like a book written by really bad AI"
I really enjoy him constantly missing obvious literature references.
Every Sims house from now on should have an Edgar trapped in the walls. So sayeth the Pickens.
i’ve been wanting to watch someone play this and was going to search for it before i went to sleep. i woke up and forgot until i saw you posted
ah a literary masterpiece, on par with that of shakespeare
I'm glad I'm subscribed to Kevin, cause I have no idea what video he will make next.
I love all of the new games Kevin has been playing recently really awesome and opening my eyes to new games
24:15 thats a reference to the play/book "Waiting for Godot"
wow this game reminds me so much of another game called Bad End Theater! It’s another story telling game where every single story ends in tragedy and there’s like 40 endings.
What a cute idea for a game, I'd love to see sequels of this game and maybe in other genres
This game is really addictive, I finished it the day I got it. Can't wait to see Kevin's creations and bizarre storylines! :D
And once again Kevin introduces me to a game that I just have to buy.
And it's 15 bucks which is honestly great.
the waiting for godot reference was cute
Morning is a banger when Kev uploads

"Its like a book written by really bad ai" - Kevin said this in contex to what is literally Romeo and Juliet

Kevin not getting the Waiting for Godot reference lol
great video kev!!
already know the games most of the time but always great when you play it
and rewatchable
That was a treat, thank you for sharing this game with us. It was a fun watch.
Got to admit a gravestone with a portrait does sound delightful. Maybe those panels are bittersweet.
This game honestly needs a sandbox mode just think of the possibilities if just a few more scenarios were added
I was kinda expecting it to have one.
Well not kinda. More like was definitely
What most people don’t know is that Isabel is actually a variant of Jim Pickens in the multi-verse
Ive only seen one other person play this game and that was Cartoonz. Im excited to see how Kevin manages to cause chaos in it lol
5:59 Kevin is a modern Shakespeare
14:42 is a hell of a line☠️☠️☠️
