Good stuff Tempus. Frank Robbins art stands out on the Man from Atlantis series. Some didn't like his artwork but I do. He did some work on The Shadow in the 1970s for DC. In fact, his cover for #8 is my favorite cover of the short run of that series.
🤔 Alan Tess would have been too , too predictable a secret identity for The Man , I guess. If you run Victoria's Principal attractions backward maybe we can imagine her as the Wowman From Atlantis coming out of that replenishing show-her! Frank Robbins has too often been dismissed as a Caniff school clone but if one reads his Johnny Hazard comic strip ; most notably his late 1940s and especially his 1950s story arcs ; Highly recommend the Sunday adventures from that period , readers will appreciate my opinion that he was equally as good as Caniff. Digest books 👍! Dallas again why would Bobby Ewing return to Falcon Crest?
I don't think that's a predictable name Anthony, I just think no one else is as good as you when it comes to thinking them up! I'll see if I can grab some Johnny Hazard at some point.
@@tmpsfrommars 😌Oh they're good but sometimes it's the feeling that audiences wouldn't think it's clever. Like during the Golden Age when Green Lanterns secret identity was going to be Alan Ladd ; playing off the magic lamp and Aladdin but the idea was reconsidered much to DCs regret when actor Alan Ladd became a major star which would have been a profitable decision. Oh definitely check out that period of Robbins's Johnny Hazard it's worth the effort.
TEMPUS !! GREAT SERIES !! of man from Atlantis. Classic. Cool UFO invtake care budaders digest. I never saw that one
Cheers Higgy, there's the odd digest that doesn't show up that often, I think that's the only full on sci fi one they did though.

I recognise his style from The Invaders Erik, yeah I know it's Marvel stuff, I'd not seen that Shadow cover before but that looks pretty cool.
@tmpsfrommars I just love that cover. I have a few copies of #8. It definitely could be an obsession book.
Some people would say that's not normal behaviour Erik but I don't see a problem with it. 😄
