Patrice was a force of nature- he honestly didnt even have to try to be funny, someone would say something and he would do a bit people have to hire writers for. He was the only reason i used to/am listening to the O&A shows where patrice was in studio.
Some of the most genuinely organic histerical shit happened there, and the black phillip show? Fuck man that shit was the realest shit anyone could ever bring!

it's worth your time to dig up and listen to every bit of Patrice that exists, all that O&A time... it's all worth it, and I NEVER liked those type radio shows, no offense to them. Point being, EVEN FOR ME, EVEN IN THAT CONTEXT... Patrice killed it , and was so real, he actually helped people.. the whole "Black Phillip" thing happened... by the time Patrice passed, he had racked up enough quality material (despite it seeming so little compared to what we'd like to have) AND he was a huge part of the best roast ever, because it was full of rule-breaking. 3 people ALL did (4 if you incude Tyson) COMPLETELY different things than would ever be expected.
Nothin gets me hyped more in the morning than hearing “GREETINGS FROM PODCASTVILLE!”

It broke my heart to hear you say you're "filling in the gap of Patrice and Ralphie". What makes Joey Diaz great is Joey Fuckin Diaz. This podcast gave me that last motivation to go out and get a job and finalize on a home today. Your lack of ego has been a tremendous asset and blessing. Keep hustlin, dog, and stay current.

Just got into podcast last month and I swear stumbling upon Joey Diaz’s podcast was one of the greatest gifts of this year and also checked out his comedy. I swear I never laughed watching stand ups til I seen his. And I also relate so much being from Union City. Currently living in Florida for the past 3 years but man uncle Joey takes me back.

I had a crazy ego but back in 2017 I went to Ecuador(my parents are Ecuadorian) I was there for about a year getting my life together. I went to a couple of Ayahuasca ceremonies and that helped me so much spiritually and my ego wasn’t the same. I wasn’t as cocky as I used to be. I had my ego cleansed and a whole bunch of other stuff. Life changing experiences.

I hadn't laughed so hard before or since that night. It felt like I did a thousand situps the next day because my abs were so sore.

Joey and Lee I realize this comment will be lost, but the transition from two high dudes shooting shit into a serious modern blueprint for adulthood and manhood has meant the world to me. It seems that the seriousness of the podcast has paralleled to my own life as a college student and just all I can say is I deeply appreciate the wisdom and the facts its shared for the world!
