    If you use less than your trading power balance, do you bank the remainder of the balance?

    I've read that for resale TS it can be a pain to book a week in their base. I have Westgate, not resale, so I shouldn't have issues. I just got it last week.

      Well, for getting reservations that shouldn’t matter if it was a resale or not. They’re just learning it’s plain difficult to book the good times at these places. There’s no difference if you buy at resale or from the developer. But I would definitely find the first day you’re able to book typically 12 months in advance and book it exactly on that day for that week then deposited immediately because you’ll have a three-year window to use your trip whenever you want and you can even trade back into your own resort

    we have a 2 bedroom, with lock off studio and 1 bedroom as an option. If we want to trade for a 1 bedroom, would we have better odds of getting it if we deposit our week as a 2 bedroom? Does it give us more points? Or is it a waste to give up the extra room if all we want is a 1 bedroom? Our week is 150, and the one we want is a 150. Both are Premier Resorts.

    • @TimeshareSimplified
      @TimeshareSimplified  2 года назад +1

      Hi! It's always better to lock off your 2 bedroom unit if you have that high of a trading week and you are willing to pay $99 per unit upgrade but I think you get the best value doing it that way. If you have any other questions you can message our team at support@timesharesimplified.com. Thanks !

    Thanks for the info. I'm looking to trade my fixed week for Hawaii ( of all places lol). My week has enough power to trade for the time i want. However i only have a1bdroom. Will i have a hard time getting a2 bdrm? Any suggestions?

    • @tonyavitia6556
      @tonyavitia6556 Месяц назад +1

      Hi Michelle! No it shouldn’t matter. You just have to pay the upgrade for you $100 or something but I think they actually like that better than they make extra money. Lol but as long as your week is strong enough, you shouldn’t have a problem getting to a bigger unit and actually a two bedroom just better chances 64% or something like that of the resort inventory is two bedroom.
      Good luck!

    If my unit is able to be locked off into 2 separate units, is it better for trading to deposit into II as a lock off or a complete unit?

    • @TimeshareSimplified
      @TimeshareSimplified  2 года назад

      Hi Sherri! I would lock it off into two units because then you can get two weeks out of it in any size unit if you are willing to pay for the unit size upgrade. You can take your studio side and trade for a 2bd you just pay ~$99 per unit size upgrade so about $199 extra however you get an extra week and a bigger unit. It is up to you and if your willing to pay the upgrade fees and you can also get their platinum membership which lowers those costs and has other perks. The main part with trading is what week you select to trade and that you deposit it more than 10 months in advance. Let us know if you need anything else !

    If I have a timeshare with the lower index than some thing I want to trade is it going to be impossible to get a trade request? Trading Marriott in Park City for a Marriott in Oahu.

    • @TimeshareSimplified
      @TimeshareSimplified  Год назад +1

      Hi Sherrieb, thank you for watching!
      It’s not necessarily impossible, but you need to make sure and book the week that is worth the most, and then go to the Marriott Park City or Oahu resorts on interval.com and pull up the trading demand index and only trade for weeks that are worth the same or less than yours. Then you shouldn’t have a problem as long as you’re putting in the ongoing search for a long enough time.

    • @TimeshareSimplified
      @TimeshareSimplified  2 года назад

      Are those points in II already? If they are unfortunately there is not much you could do with them at this point. You might want to contact II directly and see if there was a way they could give you an extension on them but again unfortunately there is probably not much you could do at this point in the year I'm sorry.

    To be clear,, I should reserve a high week before I deposit for the most trading value? I have always merely deposited my week with no reservation.

    • @TimeshareSimplified
      @TimeshareSimplified  3 года назад +2

      Hey Patrick! Yeah don’t do that. LOL What they also don’t tell you is if you deposit a week and it’s less than 10 months from the check and it lowers your trading power as well. So you could have a quest going and there could be actual units there but because you didn’t give them a good enough week they will just say it’s not available. So your first priority is to make sure you get the strongest week you have access to. So go to interval international where your resort is click on the trading demand index and see which week has a bubble farthest to the right. Then every year booked that week one year in advance and deposit it immediately. Then you will have unlimited trading power and you will have a three year window to go wherever you want whenever you want. Then only do an ongoing search has nothing good will ever come up but if you put in the request to 95% chance you’ll get it within a month Mama said something completely ridiculous like New Year’s in New York three weeks ahead of time. LOL let us know how we can help. Thanks

    Hello, i bought Westgate in Orlando..a double unit..but I got 1 week free every two years because i bought it cheap...is that something i should get rid or I should try to rent it out on redweek or airbnb...honestly i have no clue about any of this or i have no clue what i am doing...is there a management company that would do most of the work..I will watch all your videos...or can you make short video about Westgate Resorts..

      Thank you for watching our videos! We hope you got some value out of them. Our book Timeshare Tips & Tricks which is available on amazon can walk you through the process of renting step by step. I would book the best weeks you can get, think Christmas, New Years, etc and then I would recommend renting those out of redweek. Redweek has a full service that they offer for handling your rental. We don't handle pre-booked week rentals our company specializes in points rentals. If you have more questions you can feel free to email our team at support@timesharesimplified.com
      Thanks!

    Interval International you don,t have to Deposit your week 1st to get them to find yourself a resort unit

      Thank you for watching our video! I hope you found some value out of it. Yes you are right you don't have to deposit your week to start a search, however, from experience and from talking to the exchange companies, I have found that depositing your week first gives you more trading power and is typically more effective. However, you are absolutely correct that you do not have to do that and can do a request first search.
