Back in production as of 4/29/23, and now available in 39mm in titanium. Been hoping they would make this available, and ordered one as soon as I heard about it. With this handset and printed indices, it is one of the nicest looking sports watches on the planet, IMO. Mercedes hands and applied markers ruins it for me. I just wish they would spend the money to offer a bi-directional bezel. Really inexcusable. If San Martin can do it, Steinhart could do it as well.
That's probably true, but I like getting maybe 70% of the looks, then adding a twist. Especially at the price point, I sort of have a feeling I couldn't spend over about 350 for a straight homage.

Just bought one, and arrived today. Very pleased with it. Thanks for the tip off. Was about to spend a lot more on the Eterna kon tiki. Glad I went with your recommendation 👌✌️
Nice DK. I actually have the Steinhart Ocean 39 GMT Premium 500 on black tropical strap, my best watch for sure. It has the same hand set as yours and is running the ETA 2893-2, not the Sellita. I had to examine the movement through the display case back to determine which. I believe they put in whatever they have on hand or can get at the time, that is why they state both as the movement on their website.
Congratulations DK that's a lovely watch. Can't wait for your full review as I don't know much about Steinhart Watches. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy mate 👍 👌 👏🙌
Just not feeling it, it's exactly what I thought it was, but for some reason, it's not clicking for me. Specs are excellent, build quality great, just not falling in love like I thought I would
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews It happens, sometimes there's a difference on how we feel when we look at something on line vs once on the wrist. The good news here is that's this is a great watch and sold out so you should be able to sell it rather easy. Good luck mate 👍
The clock was delivered in May 2023. On 02.07.2023 I have slightly readjusted the time. Since then, the clock no longer runs. Even if the clock is now repaired or exchanged, I wonder of course when it will stop the next time. Too bad actually, I had really liked the watch.
You bought one and it broke on you in a month? Did you adjust the date at the wrong time perhaps, between 9PM and 2AM? Not accusing, just asking. In any case, this should definitely be within warranty if bought new. Get it repaired or replaced.
This watch is so clean. I run mine with a simple black on black nato strap. Must've been some weird production logistic that made steinhart discontinue and scrub this watch offering from their catalogues. can't even find the page for it on gnomon anymore, just the mercedes hands rolex homage version now.
Yep, completely gone, very very strange to me. It's a great looking watch, but I ended up selling mine as I just couldn't bond with it for some weird reason.
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews i probably should sell mine, since a khaki field king takes up most of my wrist time, but watching this video made me start wearing the steinhart more and it's a nice feeling watch on my big wrist.
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews maybe finding a deal one on one of those brass microbrands will do it for you. have a 50mm FIFTY titanium Invicta on stock rubber strap. I imagine an all-titanium outer watch case and band have a nicely distinct feel to them with half the weight of a traditional stainless steel.
Which part? The fact that it's made from Titanium not 904L stainless steel, features fence post hands and not mercedes, or the fact it's 42 MM and not 40mm? So similar!
your comment has no point.....you do realize i hope, that everything you own is based on something that came before....the shoes on your feet are not original, millions of shoes were made before you got yours, your car is based on other cars, god knows your phone isnt an original design, the spoon you ate your cereal with, the gun you carry is based on other guns.....NOTHING you own was original to you.....figure it out dude.....use the brain god give you
Sorry to break your Rolex is Original worldview but the Rolex Submariner basic dial design itself don't belong to Rolex, it was based on a requirement from US Government that was based off of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Dial.

Une montre incroyable avec un très bon mécanisme et des matériaux de premier choix. Très belle montre. Merci pour la démo.😍👍
Merci pour la vue et le comment 🤙
Steinhart take some stick for their homages - but the quality on offer is just terrific
Agreed, and as this one has some DNA of its own, it really stands out. No idea why they decided to make Rolex 1:1 Homages instead of these beauties

Gorgeous piece 💯💥
Looks amazing, I just couldn't fall in love with it
Beautiful watch 👍

I may end up selling before hand! Not bonded with it yet..

I have the same one brilliant watch, about the clasp beening stiff try to lift from the back instead from the front and it should open really easily
Case is quite straight and doesn't curve around the wrist.
Lovely.... God only knows why they decided on Mercedes hands !!?? Those hands look much nicer. Top quality watch indeed.
I totally agree! The fenceposts are way nicer and give this its own flavour. Which is what an homage is supposed to be!

Nice review! What size is your wrist. Going to order one but not sure on 39mm or 42mm
Thanks! Just about a 7 inch wrist
42mm will be a better choice if your wrist size is 7 inch or more

is the watch a true gmt
No
How about scratches?
No idea, sold it without really wearing it, didn't bond with it

@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews I think he means the bezel insert. Just a guess.
I mean, Rolex don't own a colour combo, so even if that is what he's referring to, it's hardly a "copy".
