    Nice to see the rigs and baits. This way we know what tactics you are using.
    We are not mere spectators whether the ends of the reeds move or not, but we have an insight.

      Thanks mate, I don't want folk thinking the seas are teaming with fish. Blanking makes the good sessions even better.

    Well done on your first spotty. We get quite a few on the South Devon coast, but I've only ever managed to catch them on the BC for some strange reason. A great video 👍

    • @theawfulangler
      @theawfulangler  Год назад +1

      Yeah Wayne was telling me they only go to about 5lb in the channel. To get any bigger you have to head your way.

    • @simonquintrell8686
      @simonquintrell8686 Год назад

      Yeah, they can come in over 7lbs sometimes on the Start Bay beaches. We get some massive 40lb plus conger in the River Tamar too. A 20lb conger is nothing special down 'ere me handsome, and the usual congering setup is a Ron Thompson Axellerator and a SLOSH 30, or similar. @@theawfulangler

    Hi Alex, really enjoying your sessions with Wayne. Well done on the new species lovely spotted ray. I had asked Wayne to recommend a decent beach rod and he mentioned the tronix competition HT what did you think of it. Thanks guys take care 👍🎣🎣

    • @theawfulangler
      @theawfulangler  Год назад +1

      Check tonight's video mate. I compare a couple of the rods I use to it. It's a nice rod, but I can't say I've used many rods in that price range to fairly compare them.

    I don't mind catching doggies, just so long as you don't let them wrap. Beats a blank.
    A compass it a vital item in the dark; learned that many moons ago wildfowling; it could be a fatal error to become confused and start walking towards instead of away from an incoming tide even more so in placed with huge tidal ranges..

    Hello m8 on your double loop rig make sure your rig body takes the strain of the cast not the hook lengths just move your crimps a bit so your hook lengths are the slacker of the two only saying lol

    • @theawfulangler
      @theawfulangler  Год назад

      I knew someone would pick up on that 😅 I had to re-tie the top snood and lost a bit of line. But the bite traces are 60lb so I wasn't too concerned

    • @johnspalton3628
      @johnspalton3628 Год назад +1
