Great content on some interesting marks. My last sesion turned into a bit of a doggy fest but using 2/0 & 3/0 aberdeen pennel rigs with an offset (twist the point away from the shank with pliers) resulted in no deep hooked fish even the tiny whiting that hardly register as a bite were only lip hooked, so I consider that an all round win
I use octopus hooks for that exact reason mate. In fact the next video you will see just how effective they are. I'm using up my stock of circles but have 200 octopus hooks on order which should last me a while 😅

I have the Airpower 435 SRS, bought just before Christmas, and for various reasons, STILL, have not had a chance to try it out! I want to fish it along side of one of my zippy M4 GT’s to get a direct comparison of the two!
That would be an interesting comparison. I've managed to get my hands on an old zippy, a 3500, maybe one day I'll get my hands on some of the newer stuff to try.
I tried Akios tapered leaders a few times but unfortunately they were rubbish. Way too often I snapped off and would wind in to have the knot and a couple of feet of the leader and no rig. Unfortunately I also had an Akios Fireloop reel which was also very poor. So no Akios for me. Just never matched the hype. I use Asso tapered leaders now and have no problems with them tied to 20lb Daiwa Sensor main line and a Colmic Azard 4.2 m rod and a Penn reel.

I've never heard of Colmic rods, will have to look in to those!

Cheers Brian. You might be wrong though, brittle star usually only have 5 or 6 legs. I think this was a sea spider.
