I can't fish without circles now 🫣 Fishing has been all over this year (2023). You think you have lined the stars, moon, tides, wind & choice of sandwich up for the perfect session and its pants. Then that session you think you're peeing in to the wind it goes bonkers.
Defo agree!!👍 I’ve used circles on pennel for years catch rate massively improved I’m going to them using dongles for thornies over SW jockland to save fish damage, I’m definitely going to try them for whiting when they snatch at it I’ve used on float in summer to for pollock etc work a treat! Tight lines look forward to next one😀

Nice one. I may be in SE Kent but all my Mum's side of the family come from the Blyth Bedlington area. I fished Blyth river from a wooden staithe with a handline when I was around 10. My uncle was a gaffer at the Bolkow shipbreakers in 1970

Interesting watch for me , laid by on the boats I work on at that very quay for a day or so here and there had a few chucks and never had a touch never seen much come out from there considering the amount of anglers so great to see plenty of action for you despite the size of them apart from the odd few better ones a busy session is always an enjoyable session does the confidence a world of good !
Small hooks small baits, you should do well. Think I said in the video, chances of anything big in there are slim. Maybe closer towards the mouth, a better chance. But where there's water there's fish. And like you say, great spot to keep it simple and fish from the car/van.

I'd love a trip over to the Isle of White. Like you say the ferry costs are expensive, so it would have to be more than just a weekend trip. I've put forward a couple of suggested trips focused around fishing. Let's see how the dust settles and judge if there's room to suggest a few more 😂
Had to read that a couple of times. I though you meant leak through the pocket which it doesn't. But if you mean does the pocket get wet, now you mention it, maybe it does. I just figured it was because I'm constantly taking my phone in and out or bait elastic in out so gradually gets wet. But now you have me thinking 😂 ill pay closer attention next time I'm out

We are usually swamped with whiting, great tasting fish, but also great food for so much of the higher food chain.
