This Weber Q must be 10 years old now, has given great service, and while it continues to do so, I'm one happy griller. Many thanks for your comment.

Great review friend. Very helpful and informative. Think I might have to do the walk of flame tomorrow and buy a new barbecue!!!!!

Thanks for the review of your 5-year-old grill. One of my biggest concerns is how long it will last in my coastal Florida environment. Here, the salty air destroys everything I buy. Just last week, I had to put a fairly expensive 3 year old stainless steel grill into the garbage because it had just about disintegrated from the salt environment. Keeping it covered slows the process but rust and ruin are inevitable. A good quality aluminum and plastic grill seems like the way to go, but as you suggested, no hot dishes on the side trays. Thank you for reviewing this product - I now have one on order. Cheers!

Thanks for your comment, I do have a friend who lives in Stuart FL and have visited the state many times, yes the conditions are very different to here in central England. I would think a years usage for you is much more than it is for me, we just don't get that much sunshine, my Q is under cover from October to March, each year, I'm envious, hope you get as much pleasure from it as I do, Cheers.

Nice review. My weather family queue is 11 years old but I have noticed it has lost its blue flame. Now it's just a yellow flame. Still cook still works but yellow. Would that be a new regulator or a gas regulator on the bottle? Thanks!

Hi there, many thanks for your comment, if the gas is burning properly the flame should be blue with maybe a yellow tip, if the flame is completely yellow something isn't quite right, I think the most likely cause could be the gas regulator, although I have to say I'm NO expert on these matters.

Nice review! My grates chipped as well after about 3 years. It's nothing you have done, unfortunately it's what happens with the ceramic coating. In fact, I claimed them under warranty because the coating came off on steaks! I live in a coastal environment, so I think they degrade quicker. My second set have as well, my Weber is coming up to it's eighth year. I feel the plates are the only disappointment, as they are expensive to buy. If the ignition is slow, you can replace the battery, just twist the ignition case and it will pop out so you can change it.

Hi Kerry, thank you for your comment, its nice to share experiences with other Weber Q users, hopefully I'll get another season out of my grates, I've been looking around and can get a cheaper set from Amazon, but you know what, I'll probably shell out the extra cash and go with Weber. Once again thanks for your comment.
