The fact that a sentient broccoli is going to devour some grapes, which are also assumedly sentient, is a very dark turn of events for this rather cheery looking game that gets completely glazed over.

5:10: Seems nice, but discovering Rhythm Heaven made me appreciate rhythm games that use audio cues instead of little bars moving down the screen, and...well...these are very stylishly-moving bars.

11:06 I'm pretty darned bad at rhythm games, especially the more enthusiast ones (beatmania or harder, really) but I love playing em and this is exactly why!! It changes your relationship with/understanding of songs you know, and it's super cool.

the count fight sounded exactly as a crypt of necrodancer song while near the shopkeeper, and that is a pretty good thing
I never understood the "toilet seat up" thing. Because toilets have lids. Always put the lid down, so when you flush you don't spray a fine mist of toilet water all over the bathroom.
I very much enjoy the wordplay, like, i couldn't tell if the king was Brock-oli or Brock-choy until the end. Also, the count is a play on chanterelle. thats humorous.
I've always heard the "letter buttons" on the controller as the "face buttons", yeah
That mushroom track had a very "Stream starting soon" feel to it.

Notably Dan, if you are looking for another rythem game with a custom sound track so you don't have to worry about copyright, I would like to highly recommend the game Overpass.
I also recently learned that those buttons on the right are indeed called "Face buttons."
The sound the first green character makes makes me think of Banjo Kazooie!!!

This looks like a rhythm game I can actually watch. Most of those I've watched don't use music I enjoy so I don't enjoy the game itself.
There's still Rockband-like games nowadays, but they're mainly come to reside in the VR department. Ragnarock is one that comes to mind immediately.

I've been playing the latest Theatrhythm game on the Switch with my wife, and it's the first rhythm game I've ever liked.

For more high-budget rhythm games, the new Theatrhythm is quite fun in my opinion. Has LOTS of FF XIV tracks.
Appearently this game is made by Tiny build, so yes, the same people who made Hello neighbor, Tinykin, Graveyard keeper and an old classic; No time to explain :) Had to check because it looked so "Overcooked" as you said.
Make it a series, it's a lot of fun!
Immediate pick up, so cute! I was in the middle of infinite guitars, but it just wasn't doing it for me. This looks great, excited to try it out!
I generally don't enjoy watching rhythm games on the channel, but already from the first few levels this seems more rhythmically interesting than the last couple you've played, there's already quite a bit of syncopation while the others would just keep *hammering* on those 4/4
You mentioned rhythm games with unique soundtracks did you ever check out mad rat dead it has my favorite video game soundtrack

I see a playlist for Cadence of Hyrule on the channel, but it seems to be incomplete. Have you ever thought about going back and restarting/finishing the series? It's another great Rhythm game. As is its predecessor Crypt of the Necrodancer. I would love to see one or both given a "proper" play through here.
Yo Dan, Rock Band isn't totally dead -- 4 is still getting new DLC on a regular basis! Now if we could just get a new set of instruments...

Since you like rythm games, are you gonna play Hi-Fi Rush? It has a streamer mode with original tracks.
