I overused that move every time I played. I loved using it on the big ass bosses and watching them fly across screen 😂😂😂 the move where you grab one by the hair, punch them, them throw them was great too.
Double Dragon II (1989) CLASSIC!!!! I was around 7-8 y.o when I beat this game. Definitely the best Double Dragon game of all time with Super Double Dragon at #2.

I have very bad memories with NES games. When I was a child I play Mario with my Father and Mother and that was the feeling which I cannot describe in words. Then my mother got ill with the lungs disease and she died and my life become like a hell. Then after few years my father also died with cancer. Now I only have 3 elder brothers and bad childhood memories. Whenever i watch NES gameplay I feel very bad. I lost my father and mother in very young age. 14:40 I find it hilarious that we all played that part where we made the enemy character make all those jumps to get back up and fight us. The jump sounds are just hilarious! Additionally, this game is so freaking awesome. I love this standard of gameplay because it allowed you to get good at it with its level of playability. Sure, it’s a challenge at first, but you got better by playing it frequently and the design of this game made that so. For instance, the environmental hazards apply to the enemy sprites too, not just a hazard to player one.
Tbh this was a much better fighting game than the original Street Fighter. I know, 2 different genres, but with just 2 buttons the gameplay and the number of moves you can pull off was insane for its time.

That final boss is weak and easy as you can see. The real challenge is the boss rush before that. The bosses just keep on coming one after the other and those ninja's...all that with one life.
"and those ninjas"... Stand there and spin kick... ninjas die quickly. Also. The final boss is really kool to beat with power moves. Fade away spin kicks work great. He also frequently runs into knee attacks if you have the faith to just execute them. Uppercuts work too, if you just use them any time you land.

Its weird cuz in the 80's most of us spent weeks trying to beat these freakin games. I think it too me and my dad about a year to finish Super Mario Bros.
Moral of the story, if you want success in this game, you really have to master all the specialty moves -- the landing uppercut, the high knee, and the cyclone kick.

I'm 15 y/o, and every time I go to my grandparent's house, I always ask to take my father's old NES to play this game, I first did this when I was 10 and I still do it. This game is one of the best I've ever played. I never finished it. But I promise I will next time I'll go there. There's no way I'm playing it on an emulator, it loses all the interest I think... But anyway, this game is incredible and no one can say otherwise.

From memory you can draw him back to the ledge to the left of screen and knee him off the side of the building. Kneeing people off ledges was my favourite part of this game.

I still remember the day I beat this game with my big brother way back in 90's. We play this in two player mode; I played the blue guy and he take the red one. We fight the final boss together at the last level. When the boss's life is clearly will be over in one hit, my brother's character died. Then I killed the boss using the “super knee”. With the help of my brother, I am fortunate to finished the game to the end. Honestly, because we're so young then (and not native English speakers, I might add) we don't really understand the boss's dying words nor what the game tell about the girl's future. But we don't care. Haha! Now I am on my 30 years of age. Time flies so fast. This video is so nostalgic to me!

I have very bad memories with NES games. When I was a child I play Mario with my Father and Mother and that was the feeling which I cannot describe in words. Then my mother got ill with the lungs disease and she died and my life become like a hell. Then after few years my father also died with cancer. Now I only have 3 elder brothers and bad childhood memories. Whenever i watch NES gameplay I feel very bad. I lost my father and mother in very young age. I still have my NES but I miss my parents too much.

Additionally, this game is so freaking awesome. I love this standard of gameplay because it allowed you to get good at it with its level of playability. Sure, it’s a challenge at first, but you got better by playing it frequently and the design of this game made that so. For instance, the environmental hazards apply to the enemy sprites too, not just a hazard to player one.
Tbh this was a much better fighting game than the original Street Fighter. I know, 2 different genres, but with just 2 buttons the gameplay and the number of moves you can pull off was insane for its time.

That final boss is weak and easy as you can see. The real challenge is the boss rush before that. The bosses just keep on coming one after the other and those ninja's...all that with one life.
"and those ninjas"... Stand there and spin kick... ninjas die quickly. Also. The final boss is really kool to beat with power moves. Fade away spin kicks work great. He also frequently runs into knee attacks if you have the faith to just execute them. Uppercuts work too, if you just use them any time you land.

4:02 = I never really understood the logic behind that 1st boss. He takes a few hits, then he dissappears. He then comes back only to take one more hit, and then dissappears, never to be seen again. It's like he gives himself a second chance but then says "screw this, this guy is too good for me, let me take off and watch that Desperate Housewives marathon on TV"

From memory you can draw him back to the ledge to the left of screen and knee him off the side of the building. Kneeing people off ledges was my favourite part of this game.
Yeah, always fun to knock them off a high ground with a knee attack and even more rewarding when you do it to a stronger enemy with more hp.

I still remember the day I beat this game with my big brother way back in 90's. We play this in two player mode; I played the blue guy and he take the red one.
We fight the final boss together at the last level. When the boss's life is clearly will be over in one hit, my brother's character died. Then I killed the boss using the “super knee”. With the help of my brother, I am fortunate to finished the game to the end.
Honestly, because we're so young then (and not native English speakers, I might add) we don't really understand the boss's dying words nor what the game tell about the girl's future. But we don't care. Haha!
Now I am on my 30 years of age. Time flies so fast. This video is so nostalgic to me!

I accidentally discovered you could knee the first boss off of the ledge. I also used to get all of the enemies by the helicopter door so they could get sucked out 😂
