Hi with this wrap we better using the air fryer to fry. The nem will come out perfectly I tried before and it's so delicious. You should make another video with the air fryer oven. :-)

I went on a weight loss diet in the USA and had to eat a lot of raw cabbage, and it was horrible, but I lost 8 pounds in the first week alone. (I'm female and as adults, it's harder for us to lose weight.) maangchi has a good demonstration video up of making kim chi. She uses an Asiatic cabbage -- six pounds of them, in fact -- and it seems to take most of a day to make this stuff, but it keeps for eons. Something like that would probably work with ordinary flat green cabbage. I think you were teasing me with your comment. :)
helen, i made the last gia gio recipe you made. the taste was awesome but it didn't get crunchy enough. i shallow fried. do i really need to deep fry? i'm filipino so i use to use lumpia wrapper, i wanted to try the rice wrapper like you did. but it wasn't crunchy crunchy.
Do you omit onion in the filling for any purpose? I bought this rice paper and made it in 2003, it turned out very nice, not like toad skin like in the cooked rolls in your video. How come?

Helen I did not know you live in Vietnam. I try to make the wrapper. Instead of making them using your hand, I found out you can use a tin can with small holes and use a tin can from the sardine empty of cost. to make the netted wrapper.
hey helen! Can you make a recipe for this type of banh that you can commonly get in VN? I don't know if you can get it anywhere in VN but my family's from Saigon and every year we went back to visit, I always eat it. I don't know the name of it but it's a triangle banh that has a sweet taste to it, and in the inside, they put hotdog, paté, cha bong, and cheese.
