They do!!! Mine did well today. Was a learning day for me. Since it was not the best weather day I decided to see how she handles rough stuff. Drift attitudes. Etc…. Was happy with the way she handles it all. Thx for watching and the nice comments!!
I took my 1966 13 whaler up to weeki wachee springs. We had a mini storm roll through , didn’t do much ..brought all the novice boaters out
Its not how much can your Whaler handle. Its how much can you handle.
Although you stated that - you didn’t like it- it looked as if you handled it well with zero stress or anxiety…..for me it was a good mission. Probably the boat could handle a fair bit rougher and more challenge for yourself

Is this a 13 or a 17 Whaler because 90 hp outboard seems too much for a 13.? If it's 17, is it stripped down Montauk model?
It’s a 17 but not considered to be a montauk since it’s a 1967. Believe the Montauk started with that hull in 74 or 76. Not sure but around that time frame.
Looks like a Currituck... it may be rough out there, but nothing that boat can't handle. The limitations of that little Whaler will always be what the Captain and his passengers can tolerate.. 😊
