    Great work very informative! Very interesting technique using the mojo on the umbrella to get it down rather than a trolling weight, may try this out next time. "31 inches" lol keep up the good work!

    Hey , thanks for the great video. If you're trolling at about 3mph do you let line out until you hit bottom, or do you have some kind of formula you use to know how much line to let out to get down to the depth you want? What's your experience trolling at different depths?

      @robbymacoutdoors.6250  Месяц назад +1

      It all depends on how deep the fish are . So depth and where I’m marking them dictates how much line I’ll let out. I don’t hit bottom always avoid that so you don’t lose the rig. Usually I’m in 25-30 feet so I let out about 50-75 feet at no more than 3mph troll speed. I run the channel edges too so that keeps me right where the fish hold up. Been successful last few trips doing that

    Great video, just a heads up sometimes sticking your hands in their Gill plate can cause the fish harm keep the videos coming tight lines

    Do you scrape the lateral line off before you eat it or when you clean it?

    • @robbymacoutdoors.6250
      @robbymacoutdoors.6250  8 месяцев назад

      When filleting it I trim out the pin bones then clean as much of the left over blood line off. Then I cut in to small steak size portions top side to bottom. Much easier to cook them that way.

      Buddy of mine gave to me when he sold his boat. I actually found them a bunch of years ago in a box I had stored. They do come in handy for that type of fishing. Should be able to get on most fishing tackle sites . Those are made by Reliable. Thx u for checking out the video 👍

    Are you using wire or lead core line or just braid

    What kind of line is that on the poles?

      Those have 60 # braid. Came with the set ups. I got them at a local place called The Fishing Flea Market in Keyport NJ. Great guys there. They worked great all day.

    Hey how much line were you letting on the mojo ??

      About 75-100 feet it really depended on how deep the water was and we’re I was marking fish. So I adjusted as that changed. I was trolling the edge of a shipping Chanel where the depth changed from 18-20ft to 35-60ft with the high tide.

      Appreciate it. Never trolled a mojo set up before definitely going to this year , I saw your depth and that’s right around my depth where I’ll be running the mojo at high tide

      I’m up in mass ,buzzards bay 30 min from cape cod canal , I was hearing that a lot of guys are jigging the 20oz mojo rather then trolling , basically a jig jig jig retrieve , then drop . Repeat

      No I use a tripod that folds in to a boom stick. It just so happens to fit perfect in a rod holder as well
