I’m sure you know how to fish man but I commercially fish these all summer long and usually after you get the first one just leave it there for a little bit longer and a bigger one will grab that second hook instead of reeling it up right away 👍
Absolutely will try that in the future for sure. Appreciate the tip brother!’ Thx
It won't break lol...
That was more for me checking my work. Seeing everything that was done holding up was a great test. Still to this day solid! These bots are a ton of fun.
save your voice cant hear you.
I cook it in aluminum foil hot bags on the grill, add cherry tomatoes and peppers before cooking
Stripper doesn’t last long in the freezer without getting mushy, bluefish and albacore last a long time.
True. I vac seal them now so they do keep for a while. I give some away too . Hey keeps us going back out for more 👍
12 1/2 "..is a keeper in Jersey ? Not in NY
Yes it is. Can keep 10. NY is 16.5. currently open season keeping 3 fish.
What's the size limit there ???
What's the size limit there ???
They all look small
Nope. They all were 12.5 or more
Although you stated that - you didn’t like it- it looked as if you handled it well with zero stress or anxiety…..for me it was a good mission. Probably the boat could handle a fair bit rougher and more challenge for yourself
Those copper tubes look like brass tubes .
Rob that was a cool vid! However, I watched it while i was hungry .......now i want fish over rice.....
Do it!! That rice is amazing!!! So simple
We have the same boat, it’s a 2006. We have it powered with twin Yamaha 150s. It’s been a ton of fun so far - this is our third year with it now.
That’s awesome! I love mine. Solid safe boat. I’m considering going to twins in a year or so. Want to get out further. Thx u for the comment.
Jersey boys out fishing with their gold chains don’t get much more Jersey than that
New sub (From Philly) great area content
Its not how much can your Whaler handle. Its how much can you handle.
Came out of the Raritan Bay.
What Inlet are you out of
How many miles off shore?
Ran about 13 miles that day.
Hey , thanks for the great video. If you're trolling at about 3mph do you let line out until you hit bottom, or do you have some kind of formula you use to know how much line to let out to get down to the depth you want? What's your experience trolling at different depths?
It all depends on how deep the fish are . So depth and where I’m marking them dictates how much line I’ll let out. I don’t hit bottom always avoid that so you don’t lose the rig. Usually I’m in 25-30 feet so I let out about 50-75 feet at no more than 3mph troll speed. I run the channel edges too so that keeps me right where the fish hold up. Been successful last few trips doing that
Great fishing need some help in the kitchen lol
Outstanding! Great work man!
What depth were you fishing in? What rods do you use?
Was about 65 feet. I use Jigging World Nexus light action with a Penn Battle 3000. That was the 2nd set up I used. The better of the two used in this video. First one was on a Penn fathom on a Ande light action rod. I had the Fathom set up from a previous trip so I started with that one. Was way more fun on the Jigging world set up.
Really enjoyed the video
How did it turn out, I would reduce the width to add easy movement on the whaler
Turned out good. I made it at that width because of the wood substrate that runs at that spot on the floor so I was able to get a strong bite with the mounting hardware. Hasn’t moved at all since the install. I will tell you, I plan to rebuild another one this winter out of mahogany. That was the original plan. That will make it really pop.
Was the 28 incher a striped bass ?
Yes sir.
That’s so cool. I really appreciate that!!! Enjoy your season. Say hey if you’re ever down in the area of Raritan bay!!
Mac did you go with mechanical or fly by wire what do you remember ?
The 300 is fly by wire and I love it!! The 90 is mechanical
I just went yesterday and ordered my new Suzuki 200 from Browns point and George! I'm really happy such nice people!
They are the best!!! That’s so important when you make that kind of purchase . Need to consider who’s going to work on it and do good service. Those guys are the best. Good luck with that new motor. Hope to see you out there !!
@@robbymacoutdoors.6250 your videos are so good fun and informative!! George was so great to work with I'm up in Wallington by east Rutherford I'll be boating down the shore and up in lake George maybe up in Maine. I think for the winter maybe tow down to my girlfriends place down in Naples when I go down there once a month something fun to do. My kids where all in travel sports and my son ended up playing in college I can totally relate to your life sports and boating!!
Thanks Robb im Looking forward to it
@@robbymacoutdoors.6250 I'm watching your next video now you did get fly by wire mechanical I was trying to decide and decided to spend the extra $ and go with the fly by wire
Me too so nice up there. Got to get back up there soon I hope.
Nice boat.
What Bay?
Raritan Bay.
Model # 5S-192450VT.
You got next I’ll include a stop at Proving Ground for lunch. It’s that time of year 👍
No invite? 😂 good fishing
Katz marina on lake hopatcing awesome Suzuki dealer
I always like to take my boat up to lake George the last weekend in October to run freshwater for a whole Weekend through the engine
Used to have a house up on Loon lake. I’ll be heading up that way one day soon. Lake George is awesome!!!
Awesome lake!! Loon lake I love the adirondecks
What model number Loadrite trailer is this- I have '64 16.7 in bad need if new trailer- Thanks
I worked in college for the borough of ship bottom been to that ramp tons of times Great video
I'm working on a 17 for my boss and can't seem to find the wire from the bow light to the consol , you have any insight on this ?
Runs under the rub rail. Check out the video when I put the rub rail on. You can see how it’s run. 👍. Runs down the starboard side
What was the top speed with the 90?
I reached 43-44 with optimal conditions.
@@robbymacoutdoors.6250 thank you, I’m currently restoring a 66, you’re the only channel I’ve found with a 90 Suzuki 4 Stroke install.. I’ve been looking for months lol. Thanks for the videos!
@@DaltonOB thx u best of luck on the restoration. It’s a great motor I’m very happy with it. I’ll be doing a new console on the channel this winter.
That boat flys with a 90
I’m going to repower my 20 ft pro line with a 200 suzuiki I live in north jersey my boat is down in Toms River I think I’m going to have it repowered in Delaware to save on the sales tax . I hate to do that because I love the suzuiki dealer down by you . The savings is another $1700 give me your thoughts you have had various types of Suzuki s
I went to browns I think George is awesome I need to make this decision very soon
Just curious why you used 2 O rings on both side of each drain ? Is that necessary or is just 1 sufficient and closer contact ?
great video!!
Do you have your camera on a gimble?
No I use a tripod that folds in to a boom stick. It just so happens to fit perfect in a rod holder as well
I am new to trolling. Can anyone provide links to the umbrella and mojo rigs?
What The top speed you hit with this suzuki 90..? I have my new one 90 then just now doing break in.. Im happy with it.. Then what size of proppler give perfect performance speed?
Prop size is 3x14” 19pitch. I’ve had it up to 42mph. Conditions were perfect that day. Just me on board. Best of luck with your new motor. I love mine. So smooth running.
Are you using wire or lead core line or just braid
80# fluro that came with those set ups.
Nice Job 👍 what pitch prop is it?
3x14”x19” aluminum. Planing on switching to stainless
