I think this is a breakdown in honestly or knowledge in definitions of the firearms they rule on. I'm tired of hearing the slippery slope counter to stuff like this. This is literally what i knew would eventually happen, arbitrarily defining a pistol as anything other than that to then ban it. I doubt i have to say this in this comment section but arm up, you can't depend on anyone else (especially the government) for your immediate security and anyone who says different as misinformed or lying. An armed and educated society is a safer society.

Why the fuck are we writing letters? There should be armed mobs at their doors. I’d participate. I’d help organize. When I was “spamming” my group you were all quick to shit on me but you all wanna write letters. That’s fucking cute. We should be protesting the courts and the ATF. Anything less than nation wide constitutional carry (open or concealed) and removal of All firearm bans is treason to our nations freedom and security.
We aren’t getting nothing done being complacent. We need to both demonstrate our strength and numbers and educate those who don’t understand why the 2A is important. People support gun laws because they think they save lives. We can prove that they don’t with facts and logic.
My 2A discord group is a good resource for 2A arguments to help you convince others. It’s a place to organize. A place to be united. If not my page, we need a group somewhere. If anyone’s interested I’ll share the link.

Where is AG Barr? He should tell the ATF to cease & desist! That's why a lot of people end up not liking more government..They just take more of your money as (tax), create more laws that aren't needed whatsoever, except to have more control. Then waste our money on things we don't want, while they become above the law.. 'We The People' allow the government to function.. Not the other way around! They work for us, and never should be this big machine acting against OUR choices.. This message has disappeared more & more in the last 50 years..
I'm not anti government, I'm for small government that's needed for things like national defense, certain taxes, roads & highways, etc. We can't have gov agency's just arbitrarily making up laws with no oversight & no checks & balances.. That's not a government for the people, it's a government you are forced to live under. Then they won't even communicate with you, as your just some peon citizen..Then they allow lawlessness around the country & anyone arrested is just let go with no charge(s).. But, they want to make more honest law abiding citizens FELONS retroactively for some reason! It makes ZERO sense..People put less faith in the gov when they violate their rights & try to control the citizenry even more..As you're just trying to follow all their laws that you had no say in...They say vote, & that will get things changed. It usually never does. It only stops more laws & control from entering our lives...So, yes I will continue to vote.
The system sure does seem broken, and it doesn't have to be..Power, money, & greed control our government at almost every level!

Concerning ATF’s recent idea that some domestically-made versions of braced-pistols may be NFA Short-barreled rifles, keep in mind that the same firearm can have the elements which satisfy the definition of an SBR and the elements which satisfy the definition of an AOW. However, regardless of whether the gun is found to be an unregistered SBR or unregistered AOW, the criminal charge is still a violation of the same law (26 USC 5861(d)).
There is also the ridiculous fact while ATF might consider an imported braced AR pistol an AOW, that there’s been no mention by ATF of American-made braced AR pistols being AOWs, since they would likely have the same features. However, ATF has referred to many of them as possibly being short-barreled rifles (SBR). This definition can only fit if the two salient elements of that definition are present. Those are, having a barrel shorter than 16”, and being “designed to be fired from the shoulder”
ATF’s insistence about braced AR pistols being SBRs resulted in ATF being notified by seven members of Congress on 6/16/20, that ATF has given the public mixed signals on this issue since 2012, and that their recent opinion has put many gun owners in legal jeopardy without clearly-stated guidelines as to what ATF believes makes these guns SBRs.
ATF then had to respond to the letter from Congress in writing with the parameters they use to consider some braced pistols SBRs. Their written response was in the form of a General Notice, published in the Federal Register. It’s important to note that when ATF wants to follow the channels prescribed by law to make a change which has the force and effect of law, they must publish in the Federal Register what is known as a Proposed New Rule Making, allowing the public 90 days to respond with its opinions on the proposed change. The fact that they only published a General Notice on this issue, rather than an NPRM, didn’t require a 90-day comment period. The 17 days allowed for public comments ends on 1/4/21.
I seems ATF can be pushed around, but you need the right person.......

deucedeuce22oz we recognize it is an unjust law and act accordingly. To get the unjust law removed thus setting a precedent for later laws. Once a ruling is reached it can now be used in favor of or against other rulings. God is the supreme ruler of all. By your logic then we are all being a bit covetous of material possessions instead of storing up our treasures in heaven as the supreme law states.
There will always be tyranny of all forms. An unjust law doesn’t make anyone a felon because it is simply unjust and it will be regarded as such.

So here's what I would do: continue making the same gun. change like literally 1 part, trigger, brace...whatever. give it a different serial number, different name (say, "hon3y badg3r"), change the price by $0.01. then no SBR. done. then as long as they keep playing these games, you can find ways around them by doing something like this.

Reading the letter sent to Q it clearly says “Based on the product description on your website the ATF believes these firearms are designed and intended to be fired from the shoulder and may be classified as a short barreled rifle”..... So now the ATF is in the business of interpreting marking??!!
