I honestly want a tie in best actress because both actresses put up career best, tour de force performances in movies that surround their characters. Each of them has earned it on merit and each deserves it. I only want either (or both) of them to win.
Streisand won with Katharine Hepburn the last time an acting award ended with a tie. She was already an Academy winner then and likely voted for herself. Wonder if Blanchett or Yeoh are members?

I have everything like you except for Best Picture (I picked The Banshees of Inisherin) but i'm pretty confident EEAAO is going to win. I picked Banshees just because it was my favorite movie of the year, but its hard to pull the win there, and I also picked Brendan Fraser. In my opinion Butler was good but was the weakes performance of the 5 nominees in my opinion. I really don't care about GG and Bafta, for me this year is not even close and this category shouldnt be discussed. I think Brendan Fraser should be locked cause he was much much better. His role was more demanding emotionally and physically but for some reason Butler got some awards and is still in the race and a lot of people is predicting him so I think its 50/50 but I will seriously be disappointed if Austin wins. It would be one of the most laughable moments in the history of the Oscars for me.
@@TheClubOrtiz Yeah I don't think its winning either. but I still bet on it just cause I loved it. international could go to argentina 1985. it won GG over DTL all quiet, and more. also all quiet is already nomed in BP. but it could be like drive my car and it winning international.
Not enough Banshees love. McDonagh is a cert for best original screenplay imo. He already has an Oscar but not for screenwriting. EEAAO will win Best Picture and Yeoh for actress. But McDonagh as screenplay and possibly director!
Really hoping Banshees wins best Screenplay. I really enjoy EEAAO but the screenplay is not something one can just sit down and read for enjoyment. It really needs the visuals to go along with it. The Banshees script is a complete work of art even without the actual film to support it.
Put Top Gun at screenplay on gold derby just to be the asshole that got it right if it even happens. I don’t know why it would win but for some fucking reason I just got that feeling.
"Nothing is 100%" I think it's pretty 100% for Best Supporting Actor lol For anyone else to win they'll have to pull off an Adrien Brody/Marcia Gay Harden-sized miracle
I'm rooting for wins Banshees, everything everywhere....., and Babylon. I'd also be happy if Fraser and Riseborough win. Great performances. Rooting against All quiet.... ( feels like homework. One time watch) women talking (worst film of the year . disgusting), top gun 2 ( its ok but not really my kinda thing)
I want Michelle Yeoh to win but I'm still pretty Cate is going to win. Overall people seem to like her performance more and she's defeated Yeoh in more head to head races. Also historical trends in Best Lead Actress make the white person the safer pick
Cate Blanchett can still win. Not because of color of her skin but because of her performance, it was perfect. Idk why so many people want Michelle to win...
…because she did more acting, had more to do, and because she knocked it out of the park. Idk why people think we want her to win *only* because she’s a woman of color. We want her to win because of both reasons. She gave the better performance AND because she’s a woman of color.
@@yorkierussell9255 Did I say that Michelle played badly? I just said that Cate played no worse than her. And what do you mean by "more acting"? Cate fucking Blanchett admitted in an interview that this role changed her, broke her to some extent, which is very surprising, because she is not 18 years old and it is difficult to surprise her. That's why I got the impression that you didn't really watch the movie either. Btw Michelle recently published a post where she demanded this Oscar, saying that Cate is a veteran. That she doesn't need an Oscar. Is that what you mean by " Michelle has more acting"?
@@wooderu Did Cate Blanchett have to do martial arts, basically do every movie genre in 1 movie, go back and forth between Chinese & English (which aren’t related at all, unlike English & German which are extremely close) in multiple scenes, have a million and a half costume changes, have to interpret different versions of her character in many different universes, and on top of that have emotional/dramatic scenes? I didn’t think so! Cate gave a showy performance where she had to perform music a few times, had a lot of dramatic scenes, and one scene where she spoke German (again - a language very close to English) for a few seconds. Not anywhere close to what Michelle had to do. That’s what I mean by Michelle had to do more acting. Michelle deserved that award more than anyone! She worked her tail off and did what 99.999999% of actresses couldn’t do. That viral pic of her with of all her sticky notes alone should tell you how difficult that role was!
@@yorkierussell9255 at first, it was no one scene with speaking German but three as minimum and i don't agree with you that German is similar to learn as i learning it now being russian at the same time. And also... Cate told that she listened Zontag's interviews to imitate Lidya's voice. I rewatched both films today and I really can't understand what did Michelle do better than Cate. I think the acting Kate did was anything she had never done before, she made a person who is still real for many people. And i don't really want to argue with you afterall. As Michelle had already won this Oscar that made me very upset. So... that's that. I can do nothing about it. The THING is Michelle didn't have to create someone.
I don’t get the huge hype on EEAAO it was good but not great. It felt like Scott Pilgrim vs the World but with a higher budget. Such Weird characters introduced that made no sense. Lots of just over the top unrealistic weird sh*t. Didn’t resonate with me at all.

@@AndreFernandesMovies Banshees isn’t winning
@@TheClubOrtiz Yeah I don't think its winning either. but I still bet on it just cause I loved it. I still have hope that they get the original screenplay Oscar, and Best Picture winners have a chance of winning Best Picture (statistically), and for that reason I still think its not locked for EEAAO, but if they win original screenplay I would say it will be completely locked and by that time we will be sure that at the end of the night they will win BP
international could go to argentina 1985. it won GG over DTL all quiet, and more. also all quiet is already nomed in BP. but it could be like drive my car and it winning international.
@@bojackboys stop that. That makes zero sense.
all the scores this year are fire tho, but Babylon is in another universe.
Just watched Babylon last night, completely agree that score is electric.
love all quiet personally and while i do love the score, babylon is so Obviously what should win and i think thats what scares me most
Malaysian support u Michelle Yeoh❤️
9:21 “the most original” well then why Inception lost it to The king speech😭.
Because Inception wasn't winning Picture, an obstacle EEAAO doesn't have.
I hope kerry wins it. The only thing i care about besides michelle yeoh win (which currently sounds like a lock category already)
Austin Butler is Best Actor hands down
I want it to w Michelle and Cate for best actress!
If Justin Hurwitz does not win the best score, I will stop seeing the Oscar. My poor justin
"Nothing is 100%"
I think it's pretty 100% for Best Supporting Actor lol For anyone else to win they'll have to pull off an Adrien Brody/Marcia Gay Harden-sized miracle
They just did.
So because it’s the best score of the year, Babylon won’t win score
The last movie to win PD and nothing else was Sweeney Todd
Nahhhh if Justin Hurwitz doesn’t win the Oscar… it would be a shame.
Just saying. The Batman has the best score of the year
I just wanna see Brendan Fraser win actor. That's all i want.
I want Jamie L.C. to win but not likely
B
BABYLON NOOOOOOO 😢
I want Michelle Yeoh to win but I'm still pretty Cate is going to win. Overall people seem to like her performance more and she's defeated Yeoh in more head to head races.
Also historical trends in Best Lead Actress make the white person the safer pick
Sad day for The Fabelmans, because I predict that John Williams win :D
*wins.

It's unfair to say if Michelle wins because of the special effects make the movie more popular...
@@GameFreak2467 No, it was better. She did more and it was better. She won anyway, so ha!
16301st comment.
I don’t get the huge hype on EEAAO it was good but not great. It felt like Scott Pilgrim vs the World but with a higher budget. Such Weird characters introduced that made no sense. Lots of just over the top unrealistic weird sh*t. Didn’t resonate with me at all.
Apparently it resonates with a lot of people in the industry. That's why is did very very well for all these awards.
@@maplenerd22 I’ve never heard anyone actually explain why they think it’s great in any comment I’ve ever read. I feel like people think it’s just a cool thing to support this movie. I see it too often, if something is very hip/diverse/woke people will support it regardless of what they genuinely think about it. Drives me nuts, it’s like people are too afraid to express their actual views and feelings anymore b/c they’re scared they will come off racist or something weird.
@@Trav2733 It just won 7 Oscars this year. Before you go justifying that it won the awards because people are scared to offend, understand that Academy Awards are voted by secret ballot. No one knows who voted for what. So, no voter should be scared of woke backlash or come off as racist when the votes are made in secret. Despite that, they won 7 Oscars. It goes to show a lot of people liked this film including people in the industry that votes in the Academy Awards.
Jamie Lee Curtis is a great actress but let me tell you………..she is completely HYPOMANIAC !!!!!!!!, oh my Gosh, she doesn’t stop talking, talking and talking about Mrs Yeoh !!!!!!!
cate is going to win 😭 they have to give tar something which is the actress oscar
Nice reviews. But your commentary is a bit annoying.
he's playing Elvis- like 10,000 other impresonators around the world everyday.... yawn!
You want michelle because of your Asian descent
What kind of racist comment is this?
I will go with Jamie Lee for Best Supporting Actress, then this year Oscar will make HISTORY. Best Movies, Best Directing, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor & Actress, Best Original Screen Play and Best Editing!!!
PERIOD.
Well....I was correct 🫰🏼
