I usually never mention the person or a show that "brought" me here, but this time I must! Thank you HTGAWM for opening up my eyes when it comes to this wonderful artist called IAMX. I'm in love with his music and his unique personality.
Until a month ago, I had no idea who IAMX even was. Every album I have listened to since, I cannot get enough of because every single word sung speaks to my soul. It speaks to the crazy within myself yet understands my anger -- strokes it, coddles it. It shakes up my soul, makes me feel alive in this death.
true. german is such a rich language, glad that someone sees further than the nazi heritage. AND english developed out of german, so they make a naturally good mix.

You either don't get out much or listen to a lot of music...... this is far from the first time it's been done, even eight years ago, nor was it the last. So ...... yeah.....

(a german) has been known to mix English with French, Spanish, Japanese. Sabaton (swedish) used some German phrases but they sing about European wars a lot. Alestorm (scottish) translated an entire song and play the German version on concerts in Germany. Curious if there are more songs like this one

I love the way Chris diversifies his music. There's always something new, which is really important in music. It allows the brain to resettle and converge on new neurological pathways allowing for a higher endorphin response. Translation: it get's you higher. Stravinsky also did this!
