Not sure why some 'fans' don't like this. Please don't create your own perceptions and ideals on how Chris should write his music. We all know his writing is pure and not motivated by commercial values.
Trust him, and learn to love it.
My friend and I think it's about how society holds us back. We think that it shows a man who sees the world differently and makes it beautiful in his own way (specifically through music). When the guy takes the windshield wiper, it's like he's trying to take away the homeless man's passions. At the end, he conducts with the ocean, and we think that shows that some things just can't be taken from us. But that's just our take, I'm sure it's open for interpretation :D
I am a long-time IAMX fan and I must say that this track still makes my TOP 5. Pure perfection.

I live in Seattle and there are so many homeless (adults & teens). The city has shelters and a lot of groups that go to the parks to offer food & drink, but you can tell that some of them are just barely hanging on. This video made me cry. IAMX is so good and sincere! Thank you for creating this!

This video made the song ten times better. I didn't really like the song at first, but now I find it okay, even better than okay. I think it is the best IAMX video yet, so touching and beautiful. He really is growing up in the best sense of the word.
Both lyrics and music show how mature as an artist Chris has become. There is nothing wrong with going more commercial for the sake of better quality of art. Chris obviously understands that and as an ultimate fan of his art I respect his choice. Don't you see - this song is like all the other best songs of IAMX - simple but dramatic music and deep lyrics. It's time more people hear about IAMX.

I really cannot explain in words what IAMX has meant to me over the years, but I will say that 4 full length albums in a row have been absolutely incredible, and it looks like it will very very soon be 5. This song and album title represent my life so perfectly right now. Chris's music has always been beautiful, light and dark but the radiant positivity of this song is what I and the world need right now. We are truly unified whether we believe it or not.

I can't find the words to describe the way I feel when I listen to/watch the video for this song.. Chris Corner really is a genius.
