I'm a old guy a bit tired of listening to my old classics from the 70's. I'm happy to have found this band. Best thing since Massive Attack.
So awesome!
you said it man. same here. best rock sound in past ten years or so
Fabian, go see them live. Trust me you wont regret it.
I’m with Fabian young people with great imagination
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. It’s never to late for amazing music discoveries !
The world needs more of the connection they have to the natural world expressed through music, please
His voice brought me... The guitar kept me... The song forces the replay...
This song is a stunning masterpiece, but can we also appreciate the incredible cinematography! Just a piece of art.
yeah a part from that fire on the beach at 1:20 it just doesn't sit right with me lol
I love this song, and i like the video for it.
Take it from a photographer who has spent the whole of the pandemic inhaling the most insane amount of streamed media, this is decent cinematography but not the best. I'm actually slightly annoyed because this song is actually truly a magnificent cinematic experience and deserves something of a story. Tbh this is more of a "visualiser" than a true music video.
I agree. Love all the yin and yang elements to it: black and white, fire and water. Everything about the song and the visuals is beautiful.
@gitsurfer27 NAILED IT!!!👌👍
I feel this way about too many of their songs lol
It seems like a lot of popular music today has lost the confidence to experiment like this, with longer form songs that have extended instrumental passages. This is brilliant. Thank you.
Tool beat Taylor Swift at one time, so anything is possible.
Mainstream music has lost that but there are still lots of bands doing long songs, the post rock genre has almost only long songs
Ever since LSD lost it's popularity, it's really difficult to find a good long song!
the fish you catch at shallow waters doesnt compare to deep blue fishes, dive in bro, there are a lot of cool new bands, right now the right scenes are Perth, Houston, LA, London just to mention your some interesting waters, but dig in
Couldn’t agree more with you. What I love about this song is every time I listen time just flies, the first time I saw it was 10 minutes long I thought I’d clicked on a different video. This song is like a portal for my mind lol I just get lost in the sound
A video of a 10-minutes song, I know what this is, it's more than music is a punch in the middle of the face of music industry, 10 minutes of pure creativity of a timeless band, foals forever!
I totally agree
The music industry as it has been known for years won’t be part of our culture with the ever growing independence from what the major labels think of musicians as products. Art is a commodity, and shouldn’t be treated as such.
Last 10 minute 'Punch in the Face' music video was MJ's Thriller
Oh come on
I love Foals but Foals are mainstream, and this specific video, this song, the image quality, etc do not show something really unique to the music industry.
@@Alex-pi5lc I agree with both of you! We can say that Exits (video) was great attempt too, it looked like a short movie! As far as I'm concerned, Neptune video is more like Spanish Sahara, Mountains At My Gate ones. And musically the three of them have a lot in common. I think Foals have their own aesthetic (music, video), and this is what gives them that "unique" thing as a project
Love how foals have a build up to most of their songs, builds the energy slowly 😮
7:00 beufitul calmness and tranquility! We need more of such long 10 minute tracks so we can enjoy moments like this one. Absolutely amazing background melody and guitar playing
The only thing I dislike about this song is that it ends.
Fair point
Amen 🎼🙏🎼

[Lyrics]
Hey
Now it's time to go
From the white wards of England
The crows line the rivers and roads
I wanna walk where I know
Through the olive groves
The sky that knows my name
It gave me away
The magnolia moon
Like an eggshell, a white bell
To lighten my cold room
So let me sleep where I live
With a murder of crows
That live in the boughs of my brain
See me when I float like a dove
The skies above are lined with trees
I'm on my knees, I'm singing, please
Come and take me away
Time brings low all good things
When you open your eyes
When you open your eyes
Now in the vastness of pines
Where my ghost lies in loose-limbed array
I pass the time
Go upload my heart
To the fatal shore, forevermore it spins here
'Hind closed doors
Now it's time to go
Through the fields of chrome
The rusted homes abandoned
Remains of the day
So come row me away
On black rivers and rainbows
To Neptune
Where I can stay
See me when I float like a dove
The skies above are lined with trees
I'm on my knees, begging please
Come and take me away
Come take me away
Come take me away
Time brings low the best things
When you open your eyes
When you open your eyes
Time brings low all good things
When we open our eyes
When we open our eyes
Oh, I've waited so long
On the snow shores of England
To sing my last song
So come row me away
On black rivers and rainbows
To Neptune
Where I can stay
See me when I float like a dove
The skies above are lined with trees
I'm on my knees, begging please
Come and take me away
Come take me away
Come take me away
Thanks 🙏🌻
Thank you. May all your wrongdoings be turned into sheer luck.
Thanks, friend
this song is a fucking masterpiece!
Quite possibly the best song ever heard in my fifty five years. Most definitely the best video I've seen.
A masterwork beyond compare.
Foals' music never gets old, let's have a moment of silence for everyone who haven't heard this song yet, I'm so glad they are still making amazing music to this day, its as fresh as the day my music producer friend showed it to me, I had a hard time in high school but the music he showed me made it easier and gave me purpose, I wanna throw him some love while I'm here as we've been through a lot together, try searching Lonely Gimmick - Roll Me Over, it gives me Foals vibes and I'm honestly so impressed he made it, its one of those songs that make you happy when you hear it
My brother sent me this video months ago but I’m finally listening now, while on a layover at the Dallas airport. I have to say, I love your comment: “Let’s have a moment of silence for everyone who hasn’t heard this song yet.” I feel this way about a few symphonic pieces and some soul-speak jazz as well. But how you’re really feeling for people- It comes off as sincere and it’s good.
The flow of his voice is amazing but also that…. It reminds me of something I would use as a viking vibe! Something of conquering worthiness to a settlement overrun by a king with no demeanour
Nice comment 😊
Foals is getting better and better through the years. This band never ceases to amaze me.
Thats right🤘🏻
Damn right 🤘🏻
the first 2 albums were the best, i miss that sound
@@antislug I think that each album has it's unique sound, but still they sound like Foals, I don't know if I explain myself. In my opinion with these last two albums they said "well now THIS is Foals, this is OUR sound". But yeah, Antidotes and Total Life Forever are different and those are the albums that made me fall in love with the band.
Foals have been the same from the start, The best :) Foals are like the next RHCP their songs are unique and you dont hate any of their songs

Sometimes the beginning seconds of a song are enough for you to know that you'll be listening to the track forever
This is poetry expressed in a 10 minute rock song. One of the best things I've ever seen or heard.
Yes the song is different ,in waysz i can not speak, interesting n t sef
The blend of rock and electro and its lirycs makes this song perfect.

People like you who post this kind of comment on Internet give me some hope for humanity, just like bands like Foals do. Thanks 🖤
Foals is truly a band for life. Been a fan since Antidotes and they keep getting better. What a crescendo of an album!
Same! And seeing them live is something you can never forget.
It’s so refreshing to hear a band take their craft seriously.
An absolute masterpiece 🎶
The lead singer's voice is just out of this world..love it
Try Manchester orchestra, they're my favorite. I've only started listening to foals, and I'm really liking it. Good voice, and good instrumentals.
From Neptune 😂
@@chrismatapo7742 Checked them and they are great. Thank you
Bit of a Morrissey / Pink Floyd mash up. Really good
Is it the same guy from Alt - J ? No? Sounds similar though.
Give a thumbs up for the cinematography when the horse run free on the beach, that is beautiful

Can't wait to see Foals live in Glasgow 2022. I might cry at this song though, in a good way. Makes me happy that my 14 year old son loves Foals as much as I do.
Yes. This is my top favourite song now. I can't describe the universal energy and frequency I feel listening to this masterpiece.

Completely agree ;)
Agreed. Can not wait to make a dance video to this. Absolutely beautiful song & video!
💘💓❣️Straight into the soul. mind that surrounds, in part my blood and bone!. 🙏.
There's no thinking about it. It is a masterpiece.
That guitar solo!!! It's something between David Gilmour and Neil Young. Pure beauty!!
Can't agree more
Honestly, if you told me this was an unreleased Pink Floyd song I'd believe you
Obviously Foals is amazing but I just want to take a moment to appreciate the director, cinematographer, and editor of this video. I don't know what they saw and how did they decide on what footage to make to fit certain sections in the song, but it worked. These seemingly random beautiful visuals compliment the whole song in the best possible way, and I don't understand how they managed to do that. 👏👏👏
Ada juga orang indo suka foals
Listening to this song while skating on the bike path at the beach gives me massive chills. Feels like I'm floating through the cold air. ♥️🎶
Yes! Skating by the ocean is such a vibe - I love it! Throw in the Foals and its unmatchable
I have looked at this video four times. It’s is absolutely the most stunning thing I have EXPERIENCED! I’m in tears at its beauty!!
It's rare for a video to change the way you listen to parts of a song and pair with it so well. I've already listened to this song so many times since the album came out, but this video gave me such a different experience of it.
The atmosphere this song brings is so.. heavy. But in the best way possible. Love it.
Overwhelming connection to the all in all, compacted into 10 minutes of pure longing, nostalgia and introspection.
Flippin genius.
And an all time favorite video, as well. The horses enthrall. What primal bliss to tear across that shore! Brings tears to these old eyes.
Spot on, Am27! "10 minutes of pure longing, nostalgia and introspection"
I never realized I'd love this music until now.
My day is infinitely better because of this. Thank you.
That's how I feel too! Like "wait...something just happened to me. I need a minute. I'm brand new." Lol so dramatic but this will definitely be on repeat this morning!

Oooh Lord! Wish I'd found this sooner!! Feel it right in my stomach!!
Praying this gets played in FULL for their upcoming UK tour!!! But that doesn’t mean take Spanish Sahara out, play both! BOTH are utterly stunning songs
And the Runner and Into the Surf
And wash off...birch tree..sunday...in degrees...exits...they literally couldn't make a boring song if they tried.

Sublime.
Foals is more than Hummer or Inhaler, obviously, their music is more mature now, getting better and better through the years. so, the frames of the horses are stunning!
I think they have pretty mature songs even from their past albums like Late Night which btw i consider my favorite track.

This is "art" in its purest form.
They have a pure talent of building up a song. It's brilliant arrangement.
Some tracks from Rivals Sons do the same kind of thing but in a more Rock-y way, check Feral Roots or Jordann out from them, a great band too

*When you’re a fan of Foals you’re at a crossroads, they FEEL like the biggest band in the world but you SEE (with numbers) they’re not and there is this odd place of selfishness cause you don’t want them to get TOO big they abandon their ever evolving but CONSISTENT sound but you want to walk up to everyone and tell them HAVE YOU HEARD THESE PEOPLE!?! THEY’RE AMAZING!!*
*So you just have to be grateful and just be thankful they kind of understand that too and appreciate them for it. What they’re doing is not easy, it is very hard, lesser artists and bands have tripped up and failed and just tucked tail and ran at the first sign of hype or money or both.*
*Somehow, some fucking how. Foals stayed Foals and just kept getting MORE Foals, I thank whatever and whomever for that, it gives me a really good fucking reason to stay on this planet.*
I agree!
If everyone started liking foals, the world would then lose it's beauty ❤. Foals as a band have a small audience, but the audience they have is full of people who have a choice for good music.

This song and the video are truly masterpieces, and that’s an understatement. The first time I heard this song, it made me think of the amazing feeling of galloping my horse. The feeling is indescribable, yet Foals managed to put it in a song. And then they went and put horses galloping in the video! FOALS FOREVER!!!
