Me and a friend of mine, many years ago, took a 50 pound block of dry ice (his mom worked for a medical testing facility and would bring these home once in a while for some odd reason) and rented one of those pedal boats they have at some small lakes (like Lake Eola in Orlando where we did our little stunt...) and pedaled to the middle of the lake and dropped that baby in there.... Nothing happened for several minutes, it seemed, but finally it looked like the lake had sprung a geyser! Very cool. Another 'experiment' we did was put a little bit of water and some pebbles of dry ice in a 2 liter *plastic* bottle and watched it swell up and blow up after a few minutes. Soooo... we thought it would be _fun_ if we did the same thing, but in a *glass* 2 liter (which are hard to find anymore). After nearly an hour nothing had happened except the bottle was solid white. So my friend thought we should throw something at it to "make" it do something because we guessed - correctly! - that enormous pressure was building up inside the bottle. We got behind a low wall and tossed tiny pieces of concrete until one of them connected and.... *KA-BLAM!* the whole house shook! It literally sounded like a hand grenade went off. My mom, who never swears, came running out and said "What the FUCK was that?!!!" We found the top of the bottle - with the screw-on lid still attached - about a block down the street. Dangerous, but very impressive! LC
I could just imagine the janitors saying I'm not cleaning that up, lol. I can say that, cause I was a janitor, so I know the pain of cleaning big mess up

That was cool. I like when he goes to your show. I like for my kids to see it and see different things so when they have a science fair project they have ideas.

We did the Alka-Seltzer thing in my science class and it was so awesome! We actually broke one of the lights in our classroom and it was just hilarious
