My 7 year old iPad Pro has 4 speakers, 2 microphones, 120 Hz promotion, beautiful retina display, earphone jack and weighs only 1 pound. if I want to do a FaceTime call, I just use my phones camera on a tripod to get the exact proper angle and height. I just updated it to the latest greatest software 17.5.1 so I am going to use my $1100 savings from not impulse buying a new iPad and instead take a nice vacation in Tahiti.🏝️👀

Yes, speakers on my 7 year old iPad sound excellent , the display hasn’t changed a bit. I tried the new iPad 11 with the OLED display side-by-side for the most part could not tell any difference it is slightly better if you’re watching HDR but that’s very seldom for me. Otherwise it seem to be exactly the same so I sent it back after 1 week of comparing to my old iPad. I put my $1100 back in the bank to use for a nice vacation. 💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵👈👀
I share your views. The new air is the sweet spot. Yes the 60hz is not the same as 120hz but I have to say that it’s still great and more than enough for even professional use. I’m super happy with it

IS 128gb is storage good enough? Or I need an upgrade to 256gb? I will use to learn to draw, Design (Affinity and Photoshop e etc) and I will start next month a Master in 3D animation. I have and use my MacBook Air, but on my mind, I can handle the project files from a external hard drive. Is this correct? An iPad Air entry model, is affordable for now, but I can make a extra effort to upgrade the memory if is necessary (I already have here a external SSD Samsung laying around)

I was in an Apple store yesterday and found that both the 11 and 13 inch Airs were noticeably warm when I touched them, whereas the iPad Pros didn’t feel warm at all.
I have a 120hz phone with an OLED display which I use at 60hz all the time. Doesn't make any difference to me. Neither do I care about OLED. High resolution LCD displays are good enough to see whatever you want.

@@yabibiin I can certainly notice the difference but it doesn't matter to me. As long as it has a good processor, plenty of ram, and a stable UI, I can put up with any decent display and a normal refresh rate. People just need to get out of their devices and touch some grass lol.

Honestly, I don't see why someone is going to put so much into this iPad Air M2 when the iPad pro M2s exist, cost the same price and very often even cheaper from resellers and Apple itself thanks to the refurbished Apple products which are in fact new products and with guarantees 🤷🏽♂️

There are no refurbished Apple products available from the official apple web store in my country, and many people complain about refurbished Apple iPads and other Apple devices that come from other companies selling refurbished Apple devices. So, for me, it's important to buy new, something that can last for many years- not old, with enough storage, but not too expensive.

I don’t understand the air. By now apple should start trickling down pro features down. Pro motion should be here. If you don’t need the power then 349 iPad is fine, it’s still 8 gen 1 dimensity 9000 speeds. Also waiting for X100 plus. And all the X elite X plus stuffs. Lenovo slim 7x looks well priced.
If you run a business, you will understand that you must have product differentiation to upsell. Otherwise, many people would buy the cheaper iPad Air, and the iPad Pro would lose sales and even risk becoming unprofitable (the iPhone mini sold many times more than the iPad Pro yet needed to be more profitable, so it was killed off). This is fundamental economics.

Speakers are neither here nor there, as I’m headphoning/bluetoothing most of the time, actually don’t like face id either. And the air 5 doesn’t need to be upgraded to a 6.

The regular iphone will be getting 120hz screen next year. It's about time it comes to ipad also especially mini and air. 120hz is not a pro feature. Even a budget android phone have that feature. Only stupid apple fans believe it is a pro feature.
You just sound like someone who doesn’t know how to use an iPad. For me it’s a drawing and animation tool. With full Zbrush coming, lots of people will be using it for other things. Im going to go for the m4 iPad, as I have got bottle necks on some projects on my M1 Pro, that would be helped greatly by some raw power. If you want to watch movies the Samsung de ices are a lot better.

I was in an Apple store yesterday and found that both the 11 and 13 inch Airs were noticeably warm when I touched them, whereas the iPad Pros didn’t feel warm at all.
Once you go Face ID, 120hz, OLED screen, 4x speakers, there is no going back.

If the air got 120hz too then it would literally just be the pro. What else difference is there other than maybe speakers
