Oh friend. I am so thankful for your video!! I saw a PFPT and she told me to do as many kegals as I could possibly do and that was all (bc I'm pregnant so she couldn't do an internal exam) but it *has* gotten worse and I have all of these symptoms. I feel such relief!
You are such an angel... I love all your content.. through your content, I was able to heal my 4 finger RD after a c section and my stomach is not big and I your exercises of relaxing back pain have helped me a great deal. I love you Jess. God bless you
I’m so glad I found your channel! I have given birth long ago and never had problems with my pelvic floor, but recently I’m on a roller coaster with my hypertonic pelvic floor. Where can I find your yoga & pilates for hypertonic pelvic floor videos? I can’t wait to begin! Thanks a lot!
I have interstitial cystitis triggered by my tight pelvic floor. I’m pretty miserable and don’t get much sleep. It got so much better for a short period after I delivered my daughter in July.
Can you have this without ever being pregnant? Nobody can find what’s wrong with me but I have many symptoms of hypertonic pelvic floor and I’m trying to get to the bottom of what’s causing my symptoms , even in my chest and throat
Does anyone else have issues starting to pee? I’m 14 and all my urine test came back negative so I’m thinking maybe my floor is too tight- anyone else??
Thank you so much for this! I just got diagnosed and these symptoms make sense especially since I know I’ve been struggling with knee pain and I know there is some sort of imbalance in my right lower body
Wow, I have all of these symptoms and didn't know what was going on! I fell on my tailbone really badly 3 times in the Last year and it seemed to mess up some things.
I am 33 weeks pregnant with twins and was put on pelvic rest. My pelvic floor is also very tight. Which of your videos do you recommend to prepare for birth safely?
What if you never or seldom had these issues before pregnancy, but after getting pregnant you notice them? (Specifically, pain with intercourse, having difficulty starting to pee or emptying the bladder completely, and chronic constipation.)
Pain with intercourse has been a big issue my third trimester, too. I was also having some bladder leakage, perineal pain during bowel movements, and constipation. After watching this video, I brought up my symptoms with my ob. She referred me to a pelvic floor physical therapist, and the physical therapist has been very helpful getting my tight pelvic floor muscles to relax 👍
What is the difference between hypertonic pelvic and pubic synthesis dysfunction? Can you have both? I’m 8 weeks postnatal and experiencing a lot of pain that seems to match both, so just walking and exercising my pelvic floor seems to make it worse. I’m confused on whether I’m supposed to do kegels and pelvic contractions to heal these things or not, since they’re included in many of the pelvic floor exercise videos for strengthing again.
Can yoga or not breathing properly while preforming asana in yoga cause a tight pelvic floor? Can over compensation in other areas for lack of core cause tight pelvic floor? Thank you
It's so hard to know the difference between having an UTI and feeling like you have one.. I have health anxiety and have done many urine tests already... First my results are negative, then few weeks later they find bacteria in my urine culture, but no red or white blood cells... I don't get it...
I’m going through constant pelvic floor muscle spasms accompanied with urine urgency. It never relaxes. I’ve done all tests and nothing was flagged. Hopefully someone has some insight as to how to treat this?
Does hypertonic pelvic floor prone to bladder prolapse. I think i have hypertonic pelvic floor and i was also said by my doctor that i have a low level bladder prolapse. Can i do these exercises?
I had a really painful tight pelvic floor at the very beginning of my pregnancy for about a month or 2. Ive been fine since, should I work on strengthening my pelvic floor or avoid it?
I've never been pregnant, and put up with needing to pee more often for too long.... so long, that eventually my orgasms stopped feeling like anything. And the constant need to pee just keeps getting worse. Ugh.
I've never been pregnant and im just in my early 20s.. But before 4 to 5 years, I've noticed that my pee hole( the pipe through which we pee) came slightly out of my vagina.. And for the past 3 months I can't control my pee.. I'm soo worried. Can anyone tell me what's the reason?? Can it be cured by exercise??
Thank you so much this is so helpful, would a tight pelvic floor affect labour, like making it more painful to be in vertical positions feeling so much pressure and pain when being in these positions.
A tight pelvic floor can cause pain, so yes, it could affect labor. If you are having pain now I would recommend seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist. Here is also a release video: ruclips.net/video/1n2p0Ha9Yng/видео.html
@@PregnancyandPostpartumTV thank you for your reply, i had my baby 7 weeks ago and from the beginning of labor i had so much pressure i couldn't stay in an upright position, pushing Time was so long too and i still have pelvic pain specially when standing or taking a deep breath, i thought this wasn't normal, i think i might be having a tight pelvic floor muscles. I'll definitely go see a pelvic floor physiotherapist. Thank you for all the effort you put in your videos it's really helpful 🌸🌸
It does get tricky! If you have a tight pelvic floor + DR a pelvic floor physio would be so helpful 💞 However, you can still do exercises with your TAs and core without kegels. Focus on releasing and fully relaxing your pelvic floor. I will have some release / stretching videos coming up. You can fix your tight pelvic floor then get back to pelvic floor contractions (and always a full release between). Also considering why you ended up with tight pelvic floor? (Stress, pain, a muscle imbalance from elsewhere that your pelvic floor is compensating for, or too many kegels). Hope that helps a little 💞
@@PregnancyandPostpartumTV Thank you! I did injure my tailbone during delivery and have always had problems with my hips being balanced, so that could be it. Chiropractor helps but sounds like I need a pelvic floor specialist. Looking forward to your new videos!

Symphysis pubis dysfunction in pregnancy is often caused by a hypertonic pelvic floor (helped along by the relaxin and progesterone released in pregnancy). What helped me most was walking in the pool, but there are a lot of other things you can do. I hope your pain is better by now though.

You can also get this from the muscles "armoring" due to trauma

I would love to get exercises to help relax the pelvic floor... I also have IC and recurrent UTIs from a tight pelvic floor

This is so accurate :/ I had the terrible symptom of cramping while trying to finish peeing, and I couldn't pee again. Horrible.
What is the reason how to stop this
In your experience, can a tight pelvic floor cause bladder pain (which I've had for 34 YEARS, post urination, following a urinary infection 😥)
