is the tape that is in the shape of the uhh... shapes supposed to be the pieces to better stick to the mouse? it's a bit warm where I live so the bigger spacer I had on the right side had fallen off
They're supposed to be the anchoring point, try replacing the pad with the extra adhesive set, that should fix your issue!

flexible enough to conform to curvy sides of any mice? the curviest?
Yup! The only one that isn't as flexible is the AGGRO due to its thickness but the rest have adhered to curves shapes really well!

Yup! The adhesive is really good and holds to magnesium shells really well!
