Technically all phones 'keep getting worse' as they age and more new phones come out.

My iPhone 11 Pro Max is still on 88% battery health and running great. Now five years old. It is used daily though not my main device. I have the S20U as well. That has aged well and doing okay. It never had good battery life, 5 hours max, and now down to 4.5 hours. Again use daily for a few things.

My issue with Samsung is the amount of bloatware they keep adding, ( S23 owner here ) it's never ending and becomes baked in with no uninstall or opt out options to the endless bloatware they keep forcing upon us.

I still have a note 20 ultra. I game on my phone everyday, charge it while I game and never has my phone throttled once except for if I'm in a very enclosed room that's heated and I'm gaming hard

Mine died the other day... repair centre quoted me 425$ for a motherboard replacement. It was boot-looping and turning on/off by itself.

S22U user here (Exynos 2200) fully up-to-date in software & security nothing wrong here.

I’ve encountered the same issue with my S20 FE, and based on my experience, I suspect the next stage will involve the touch functionality being completely disabled. The behavior seems to be software-related, much like how Apple used to throttle older devices. My phone initially started showing signs of ghost touches, where it would register inputs I never made, and at times, the screen would become entirely unresponsive.
What strengthened my suspicion was when I used the Windows 11 'Phone Link' app to control my phone. While interacting with the projected phone screen on my PC, the ghost touch issues appeared there as well, rendering it nearly unusable. However, when I picked up the phone itself, the touch functionality suddenly returned, as if the touch lock or input interference had shifted away from the physical device and onto the mirrored screen in the 'Phone Link' app. This behavior suggests the issue is rooted in software rather than hardware, possibly designed to degrade functionality over time.

The audio quality on my s23 ultra degraded significantly in a recent update. Samsung is purposefully doing this.

That’s not the only phone that’s getting worse. Samsung Galaxy A12 is getting worse with less battery and slower performance each passing year.

It was the slowest phone I've ever used. Even the Nokia 2 with worse specs is usable

The problem is it's running on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 made by Samsung. That's why I skipped it to get the S23.

I have this phone as my secondary phone. Yeah battery life is bad, also it heats up easily, but for a casual use it is ok-ish. Better use this phone if you don't do much in a phone.

My Samsung Galaxy S24 doing the same thing with the battery 🔋. If you don't touch the phone the battery charge up to 100 on it's own but if your on it while it's charging the battery 🔋 drain on it own while it still plug in charging .
