    So many will argue all day that there is no difference in high end ARs and something like a poverty pony but there is. There is a difference in the standard F250 and the King Ranch or the stock GMC and a Denali. Lots of pro shooters that put thousands of more rounds down range than me have said they can tell a difference with the Specte Comp. If your range only allows 1 round per second then you won't see the full benefit of a comp'd gun. They are designed to shoot fast and to get back on target faster than a non comp'd.

    I had an XL-SC and compared it to a 365 (both had WC grips, both had optics, etc.) for three range visits, but I didn't notice much of a difference between them with my range ammo (124gr AE). It REALLY shines when I shot Federal HP 115+P+...that was actually softer than FMJ range stuff.
    I love the rear sights being usable with a dot (you're going to be amazed at the reticle of the Zero Elite--the circle looks ETCHED...it's that clear due to being a point-source emitter versus a masked LED design. I also like that I don't have to take a comp-off with tools to clean it.
    But it just didn't justify the CURRENT prices--and we'll have other slides with this design (slide-based comps) very soon; Armory Craft has one coming out soon. So I may go back to it someday, but for now, I'm moving on to a new gun to test out--the P365-380! :)

      Ar.ory craft still doesn't have theirs, and if they don't have slide internals it will probably still be cheaper to buy the slide from Sig.

    From the footage you can see a diffrence in the bounce of the muzzle as you get back on target. Also it looks as if w/the xl you are having to require your grip, which equals the additional bounce.

    Thanks for making this. I watched part one and part two of your review. I appreciate the way you presented your speculation before shooting the gun, examples of the gun’s recoil, and then afterthoughts covering what you thought was objective versus subjective experiences, discussing what your initial speculation was compared to the experience after.
    IMO, this gun does seem a little over priced.. but opinions on price are very subjective and it boils down to what the consumer is willing to pay.
    I’ve watched quite a few reviews on this gun, and the other P365 models. From what I can tell, it does seem like there is a difference in the way it handles compared to the other P365 models, even if that difference is objectively mild. After much research and pondering, I ended up buying the P365 XL Comp Rose. It’s a never P365 that is marketed toward women who are newer to shooting. So far as I can tell, the only differences in the Comp Rose and the Spectre Comp are purely cosmetic, other than the fact that the Rose has a manual safety, which I greatly prefer. I’ve seen both guns taken apart and the internals are identical. And the Comp Rose cost $900.. which is quite a bit less than the Spectre Comp.
    I’m no gun expert, but I’ve owned and shot quite a few handguns in my life. The XL comp is by far the most enjoyable compact gun I’ve ever shot.
    Also, as you said, if you enjoy shooting a gun you will shoot it more and get better with it. To me, that is worth the extra money.

    I just got the 365 spectre comp with the new OD green slide. The tilt reduction varies based on ammunition used, between 15-22 degrees less than my 365x version.
    I think the felt recoil has more to do with the longer guide rod with a slightly softer spring vs my 365x. The grip is definitely more aggressive, which helps keep fast repeat shots on target at longer ranges.

    I’m on a waiting list to buy a comp’d slide from an aftermarket company. Just stick it on my original 365 with a new Xl recoil spring and I’ve accomplished the same gun for about $1000. I have the Wilson combat grip module already. Awesome purchase for $65.

    What a great comparative review and love when a reviewer hits the proverbial nail on the head.
    But, you used the 3.1” black barrel of the standard P365 during your evaluation? Why? So you wouldn’t muck up that beautiful TiN finish? LOL.
    You missed the most important point for everyone who buys the spectre comp…it’s the lubricity of the TiN coating that increases the barrel’s life, if not aids function. But I digress and happily admit the gun just looks freaking cool. Thank you very much. I’m now a sub.

      @ThruMyLens100  Год назад

      Thanks for the kind words. Yes that’s exactly why I didn’t use.TiN barrel for this test. I have plenty of other TiN barrels that I have used on competition guns so I know what to expect. And there are about 1000 RUclips videos out there praising TiN coatings. There was really no need for me to use it for this video.

    The Spectre shooting fast is hard to beat. Shoots so flat and so quick. The 365x I have also, I have to take alot more time between shots. Is it worth the extra price? To me...yes. In a self defense situation, speed matters

    Should have gotten a Shadow Systems CR920p. Much better finish. Lower bore. The biggest issue is the shim SS provides to lock down the red dot, which goes on DIRECT TO SLIDE and can co-witness without high sights. Oh oh yeah not to mention the aftermarket. 17 rounds are nice but hard to conceal. CR920 WITH PMM COMP IS THE WAY TO GO.

    I see plenty of muzzle flip with the Sig comp. I said I see, I can not feel. I have never been a huge beliver in comp. EDC in my opinion-n0 RMR or comp. I want my edc as simple and small as reasonable. The 43X and the Sig P365X are great on their own. That is just me. I am all for what works for anyone else.

  • @Osprey1994
    @Osprey1994 Год назад

    I can see the difference in your footage, but I still have to say the best video is from Armed & Styled. She uses a line in the background that allows you to gauge the rise in the pistol. Additionally for me to convert to the P365XL slide it would be $36-39 more than just buying a Specter comp slide (because it's necessary to buy the XL recoild spring). I am not sure if the X Macro slide will be cheaper.
