  • With the launch of the GT this month, it's easy to get caught up in specs and numbers. I decided to take my Wind AWD (same power plant as the GT-Line AWD) and do some 0-60mph runs. The outcome was a bit surprising since Normal mode usually feels a lot slower than Sport.
I used a Dragy. For the main runs, battery state of charge was between 84%-88%. Temperature outside was about 45 degrees F. All results posted were "Valid" through Dragy, unless otherwise noted.

Something ive come across my EV6, is the best results come with the regen off, no AC on, and the factory wheel set up. I believe your wheels are dragging you down and your suspension lowered has improved your over all aerodynamics throughout. Also that road you used seemed to worn down to allow proper launch traction. EV work best with thinner, taller, and light wheel set ups.

I agree with what you've posted for the most part, but i am not sure anyone has gotten better than 4.6 on this car, so I think my results are somewhat in line.

    Hey bro 👋
finally yesterday I was able to test drive a modified version GT it was really amazing, the difference is a little felt from 0/60 above it is already very hard to make out the feeling with the GT-line. I was very surprised by the suspension setup and steering, it's very interesting when there is an opportunity to adjust the stiffness additionally. very comfortable seats, but for long distances I think my back will hurt, I also really liked the brake system, stopping is much more efficient compared to GT-LINE 🤔 in general, yesterday I got new emotions from driving a modified version of GT

I can't tell if you liked it or not ha ha. So are you ultimately thinking about trading up?

I'd love to see you revisit this when the weather is warmer and see if there's an improvement.

Those were my exact sentiments. In the summer, when I did runs, I was easily able to hit 4.62 to 4.65 . Smaller difference but bigger gap between Normal and Sport.

You missed out my man. Get yourself a GTS for a start. in GT mode its claimed to do 3.45 0-60. And with the right conditions, it does that and a smidge better. However, take the GT mode and enable 'DRIFT', and BOOOOM, 0-60 2.99 sec! I jest you not. I have one, and its fekkin awesome

I'm confused. What's GTS EV6? Are you referring to the EV6 GT? If so, yeah the power is amazing but since this is my wife's daily, and something I sometimes take on stressful range-anxiety filled short road trips , I don't think we're ready to make the small sacrifices (seats, range, monthly payment) for a better 0-60 time. I love the GT, but our lifestyle doesn't allow that change just yet. I've got my eyes on the Ioniq N, if it ever comes out and range is better.
If you're not referring to the ev6 , I apologize.

@@Emadifications Yes bud, the GTS is one up from the GT. You are right though, it comes with a range sacrifice. Stated is 260 miles. In cold weather, it's more like 200. And if you drive it as I do, then maybe 170! :) Oh, and it kills the tyres! But it does make Tesla S Sport drivers jaw drop. And we like that ;) Have fun. Great video.

@James Denny I'm super confused because in the US we only have the GT, No GTS and the GT range is around 200.

@@Emadifications yeah dude is confused. There is no "GTS" model. He's talking about the GT. "GTS is one up from the GT", he's talking about GT and GT-Line

As already mentioned, there is no such thing as an EV6 "GTS." The fastest one is the "GT."

I have only got to 4.7 in mine....Its quick and economical so I think Wind awd is best "Value" (not best 1/4 mi time) of lineup.
