Just saw one drive past me in London with the number plate "EV6" It has a much lower and wider appearance in person compared to pictures and video Absolutely beautiful car especially the rear
Thanks, I have an AWD. I find the steering and suspension better than I anticipated, yes there are a few minor quibbles, but you get used to them, everyone will have different minor quibbles. Love the blind spot monitoring, I am also a cyclist and very aware when driving, I would hate to hit a cyclist, so this is great, and you soon get used to a quick glance at it. I am 180 cm and the car seating is very comfortable, I am not on lowest level, but agree you can feel a bit close to the top and the sun visor. Sport mode is a bit brutal, and I will rarely use it as the other modes are very quick. I prefer manual control of regen, a habit from my eNiro days. Good review, and this is the best car I have ever owned.
For me, both the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6 are the benchmark electric vehicles in their segment, are they better than the Tesla Model Y? Of course and they cost € 15,000 / € 20,000 less than the American model, offering much more. Personally, the one I like the most is the Kia EV6 ... 🤤🤤🤤
Don't forget that Europe Teslas are currently expensive due to tax and import tax. Berlin factory starting to spew Teslas soon, and price will be equivalent to those American. I expect basic Model 3 from 35k Euro. Now imagine having doubt to buy any other EV when 3s are 35k E
@@bozo89CRO You are right that when the Giga Berlin opens, the Tesla Model Y have / should drop in price, do you think they will drop € 15k to be able to compete with the other BEVs in their segment and to be able to benefit from aid from European countries? 🤔🤔🤔I think not, but anything is possible with Elon Musk ...

Considering an EV6 as next car. H Have watched various reviews on the car and this on the road review is by far the most informative I have seen in terms of driving experience, performance, etc. Brilliant.
Good review. Tight steering is better than loose steering, you have better control of the car. As far as the regen goes, I think it's a good thing that it takes a little while to kick in otherwise your car would not have a steady control between accelerating and just coasting
It's funny because when I test drive the EV6 I thought the steering was way too light but I guess it depends which car you're coming from. I fully agree with you regarding the seat height, it felt really weird and didn't like the fact I could not see the bonnet as much. Either way I still love the EV6 but will probably need another test drive to make a decision.
Almost bought this 3 weeks ago but got a Sorrento hybrid instead. Honestly....it's small as hell for the price but it's so sexy. Pictures don't do it justice.
When you was reversing to the charging station, why did you use the rear window rather than the excellent, all round, reversing camera system? Did it not give you confidence?
The efficiency seems much closer from IONIQ5 than expected at first. Makes me wonder how much the EV6 has better Cx. Or maybe those cars still have a huge room for software-based improvement.
Noticed for your entire test that you had the sun screen open on the sunroof. Was there a difference in noise wind level with the roof shade closed as opposed to open?
