I loved that Kia and somewhat became a bit of a fanboy and was heart broken when we sold it for a compass after we had purchased a house. Recently sold the compass for a Mach E which prior to seeing this thought it was second to Tesla. I must say Kia is a very fast growing and INCREDIBLE company!
I was expecting the KIA to destroy that bmw sinse it has more power and its an electric, but the BMW didn't disappoint me at all it did better than i expected cos that Kia is quick.
But remember the Kia is way faster wen the battery is at 100 percent it was at less than 70 percent wen it raced the bmw and still won by a full car length or more think about that
Yes the Coreans are moderate in their official information. My EV6 AWD should have 325 PS and 600 Nm of torque. We tested 333 PS and 608 Nm. The battery is given 77,4 kWh but net, effectively the capacity is 87 kWh. So the test is no surprise. Should have tested against Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari or other serious competition😂
Question what tires you have on the ev6 Gt. in the states we have good year tires and they are ok I am switching to Michelin pilot sport 4s. My stinger I had came with those and they hook up nice
Unbridled Mode is not meant for drag racing, it’s meant to keep power going for longer on a track. Normal Unbridled is best for drag. Bummer to see that it didn’t get a fair shot.
I wonder why the other 2 cousins don’t get that spec (GV60 and Iconiq 5). Probably reserved for an N line update and that output would put an Iconiq 6 on the 10’s easily.
Cuz hyundai has an n division. Ioniq 5 is getting an N model soon. As for genesis, I think they just waiting before their tech is bulletproof before introducing it to their luxury brand.
I'm disappointed in this video for having the Mach E in extended mode. Extended mode is intended for short track consistency, not straight line speed. It specifically limits the power from the batteries to achieve this consistency, so i'm not surprised the mustang came in last place when you're intentionally limiting it's power. For best drag speeds you should have it in plain old Unbridled, NOT extended. I don't think it would change anything. I believe the Mach E 1/4 mile time is 12.2, which still would have been last place, but it would have been much closer.
No I wouldn’t. Because I know that the other one still only drives home with a Kia a budget car for people who can’t afford a real car. And Iam sitting in an 100+K BMW driving home. That alone is enough for me. I don’t want other people to think that Iam broke, so Iam happy with the BMW.
The EV6 GT wasn't even launched to its full potential, keep it above 70% state of charge and activate maximum power output mode. Turning off regenerative breaking during launch will also help each of the cars throttle profile
Especially on the EV6 GT? Wrong. GT MODE is available all the way until the car hits turtle mode on dead battery. Max Perf battery heating stops @ 70%, that said, max power mode does not add that much extra power/speed, it just ensures you get all possible. Stock for stock the X4M and EV6 GT are dead even. How would you explain that race?
You cannot stop some haters is specially if they have own car in the losing end of this competition….maybe this time we have to accept how Asian cars are on the lead compare to an expensive brand….❤❤❤

Oh wow, EV"s vs BMW.... Now this would be an interesting race... Let the war between EV's and internal combustion start... I'm betting on Genesis to take the EV race and X4M to take the Genesis... It would be interesting Race...
This is the first video racing the ev6 gt against the mach-e gtpe, thank you! As others have said, unbridled extend is not the fastest mode for ford, but it doesnt really matter. Ford has blown it. They are stuck with underpar hardware and can't make the gt faster. Kia has definitely hit a homerun here.
We tried both modes, made no difference
Thanks for all the races ..cheaper and expensive ...thanks again , Sir.
Kia like "preciate what you’ve done for the car culture bruh, I’ll take the flame from here"
The GV60 Performance only have 480hp, so I expect it to be behind to EV6 GT.
I am curious to see how this will go since this is the first 4 car race I have seen here
I love my EV6. Just looking at the cars side by side you can see how much more aerodynamic the EV6 is.
You guys neutered the GT by putting it into extend mode....
I sold my 2020 Kia Telluride in order get out of its high interest this was back in 2022 got it in 2019.
Shocking end of each race ...lets roll 👍
roll
Earlier I thought it was a ev6 gt line I didn’t know it was a gt I would of guessed that I was lucky enough to drive one it’s awesome
Wow epic drag race great job Sam
The ev6 gt in my
Hometown was only $62 k on the lot and they had 2 of them
I was expecting the KIA to destroy that bmw sinse it has more power and its an electric, but the BMW didn't disappoint me at all it did better than i expected cos that Kia is quick.
But remember the Kia is way faster wen the battery is at 100 percent it was at less than 70 percent wen it raced the bmw and still won by a full car length or more think about that
@@RoddNTune619 and you still only drive a Kia. A car for broke people 😂 think about that.
No one mentioned that the KIA is half the price than the BMW?
Tiny correction: that's a Mach-E GT Performance Edition (the GT is actually a separate trim with less power).
That is not the Performance Edition..(facia is slightly different on the “PE”)
@@TheCrusher72 it has the PE wheels. So, unless they took a regular GT and then put PE wheels on it . . .
Ain't I glad that I just bought the EV6 4 days back!!!!😊😊
if only it was a GT :(
I rented an EV6 and it was a lot of fun to drive. I wouldn't own an EV exclusively but i would love one as an extra car.

Amazing car. February next can't wait for mine one to come...
EV6는 낮은 SOC(10% 이하) 에서도 출력 저하가 발생하지 않습니다. 또한 배터리의 온도 제어도 놀랄만큼 낮습니다. 굉장한 제어 기술입니다.
EV6 GT is insane but you lose a ton of range
X3/4 M are damn fast.... 😊
f i was ready for electric, my choice would be on the EV6 anytime!
Question what tires you have on the ev6 Gt. in the states we have good year tires and they are ok I am switching to Michelin pilot sport 4s. My stinger I had came with those and they hook up nice
There we go Sam this is the format! 😊
... wow, the Kia ruffled a lot of BMW feathers here!.. both are great cars & are unlikely to be cross-shopped...& choices are sweet!😊
Let’s be honest. We all knew the Mach-E was gonna come in dead last
I thought Unbridled Extended mode limited the Max Power for the Mach-E GT?
Unbridled Mode is not meant for drag racing, it’s meant to keep power going for longer on a track. Normal Unbridled is best for drag. Bummer to see that it didn’t get a fair shot.
He already said they used both modes. No difference.
Great job Sam, big 👍 from me !
But this guy from KiA is funny... "EV power..." yes , over 70hp 😂 more than M4.
But weights way more than the x4*
To top end on roll BMW would walk that Kia for sure stock vs stock
@@henzo7087 i was expecting that too but now that i saw no chance.
This guy from Kia, isn't from Kia, just got to drive it for this video, but thanks :D
@@charliemorales3191
Weight isn’t an excuse, electric cars have instant torque
Where’s the model y p in this?
I hope next to see the EV9 GT vs Escalade IQ. I think Kia confirmed the EV9 was getting a GT version.
Didn’t expect the mustang to lose that bad, even to the genesis. It’s almost embarrassing
Hello from Korea, to tell you guys a news Kia is making Stinger EV GT
Yea, the mach-e GT (mustang 🙄) is pretty quick, but after spending 110+k and getting spanked by a Kia, I'd be more than a little choked
If you can handle the short range of the EV6 GT, it's unbeatable at that price point, ridiculous.
EV6 is far best EV ever made. Fastest, best looking and great built.I smoked Ferrari week ago and it was funny how guy was surprised scratching head.
Saw a track test of a 121 trap speed at 11.4
That’s god damn ridiculous
And for the money, that is near as fast as you can get
That's about right for 576 hp. I had a Ftype R with 550 hp and it trapped 123.
That’s Albert Bierman for u
Turn on Genesis boost on ?
All should be raced at SoC above 70% to get full power... especially EV6 GT.
So what you are saying it is true, that means the EV6 would have lost the entire time?
Especially on the EV6 GT? Wrong.
GT MODE is available all the way until the car hits turtle mode on dead battery. Max Perf battery heating stops @ 70%, that said, max power mode does not add that much extra power/speed, it just ensures you get all possible.
Stock for stock the X4M and EV6 GT are dead even. How would you explain that race?
Sam, much like Mat at Car Wow, always jumps. No one complains at it's their channels.
Damnnnn - I am usually told I am slow reactor. I am honoured
🤗@@SamCarLegion
Is there a reason why the Midel Y performance is not part of the race?
Just wondering.
They didn't need any more slower cars on the test.
EV6 GT runs its quickest times above 80% charge and in drift mode.
Clearly that wasn’t the case since we got the same time or better than Car and Driver or Motortrend
Tell the BMW driver to never manually shift again, short shifted in the drag race AND in the rolling race.
I said the same thing. Leave it in DS, and it will gap that Kia. Issue is, they let random people drive these cars, and not those who know how to.
@@DMCarReviews this channel always does this with their BMW’s, they must be doing it on purpose at this point
where's the model y?
Ford needs to take the mustang name off the suv man it’s wack
Amazing camera quality!
Kia family the best we saw many race and start kia beat porches no need proof we know kia always faster bravo kia
The sound of the wind is so soothing lulz 😂
Already knew the EV6 would smoke the competition (pun intended)
The problem with Ev is they can’t keep up this should be one mile run
Ev6 gt top speed 260 kmh, bmw x4m 250kmh, not sure how much range you'd get going that fast in either one 🤷♂️
X4M with drivers package can do 290
You cannot stop some haters is specially if they have own car in the losing end of this competition….maybe this time we have to accept how Asian cars are on the lead compare to an expensive brand….❤❤❤
