Personally i dont mind the friendly against a ligamx side. Its always good to test yourself against better competition plus the revenue was probably good for the USL side. I do like the idea of USL having their own "Leagues Cup" with the CPL and lower division mexican sides
I hope one day soon it happens cause I really think it will be beneficial for both parties to compete and get more exposure.
Facts to the highest degree
Totally new to USL. Is a tourney like that financially viable? I have no idea.
@@dovonovich yeah it’s tough they are not small markets compared to other leagues with in the country but it would bring more eyes to the two leagues competing
Guau genial partido
Hear me out. Campeones cup type game between USL vs CPL champs
And Leagues cup type tournament between USL and CPL. and i only emphasize Canadian premier league is bc MLS already goes up against liga mx. So we have that rivalry with mexicos league already.
So i would like the usl to go up against the canadian teams. I truly believe it would work well.
I agree I actually made a post about this before and a lot of people agree
I believe ownership owns both teams. It's something they do every year. I know Locomotive is getting some Juarez players after their visas get sorted out.
Im not understanding your beef with this.
The match drew a sellout of 8,000 people for a lower division friendly. That doesn't happen.
No one expected them to win. It was a showcase match, the fans came out and the club made money.
not beef just asking a question what was the goal ? Do these type of games boost the players confidence ? or do players themselves not even care about these games ? and I asked if the goal was to bring in revenue then it definitely did succeed cause of the attendance.
