The Insta360 Pro 2 is the next generation of professional 360 camera from Insta360. It comes with improved dynamic range, video stabilization, 300m wifi range and a smoother workflow.
The team from Insta360 came to London to show me and a few VR content creators what the Pro 2 can do. Overall I was pretty impressed as Insta360 are doing their best to tackle the real world issues VR film makers face.

Hi, can you plug the camera directly into a computer to copy the files without taking out all 6 + 1 cards? Also, does it work on a pc or just Mac? Lastly, someone said no wi-fi below? I thought it had wi-fi? Thanks.

b4 spending five grand.
I asked insta360 if their camera waz compatible with the zoom f8n, or zoom h3. Their response was that they're not sure, but that the pro 2 is compatible with the zoom h2n.
I am ready to spend 5 grand on the camera, I will be ready soon, to spend 1 thousand on the zoom f8n, and the $1650 sennheiser ambeo microphone is on the x-mas wish list.
If you could help me find out these questions, I will donate a small commission to you for your troubles.

Do not use HDR when moving the camera, it just destroys the footage.

Hi, thanks for the review! I have a couple questions - must you have access to Wifi to use the camera and remote viewer? Also - how close are you able to get to subjects and still have the stitching be acceptable?

You don't need Wifi to operate the camera. You can initiate recording from the camera itself if you'd like. The preferred method is with the FarSight which has a range of 300 meters. It works by setting up it's own wifi hotspot by connecting the camera to the transmitter via ethernet cable, then transmitting the signal to the wireless receiver that you can connect to your iPhone.

Just returned the Insta 360 pro 2, I will save you the headache, what a terrible experience this camera has been, nightmare of a work flow! My $500 Rylo shooting in 5.7k kicked it in the ass, Wi-Fi might as well not be included, always drops! And resolution, even with farsight system the resolution was trash! Spent 3 days trying out this camera only to return it with great disappointment! Paid $5600 for a product that’s all hype and doesn’t deliver, got it for live streaming events and did not pass the real life test! So don’t toot your horns guys!
