It's sureal, last night I was taking 3D shots of my living room and when watching them back in the Oculus Go it was super realistic (which I know sounds strange to say but it's very cool).
Can you please please do a work flow of the 9 bracketing process.!!!! I’m going to be using my Pro 2 for Virtual Tours but when when I open the folder I take the photos it has the .jpeg and DNG files and when I stitch the photo it saves it as a .jpeg only....what am I doing wrong..?? I want the photo saved as a .dng file to maybe edit a bit before uploading to VR Tour program. And maybe a little video on the Farsight setup....I am really disappointed in Insta360 and their lack of video tutorials and they depend on you guys to do it....hope you can help me....
Nice piece of gear. Can't wait to see what you produce. I assume this has to do with the announcement you promised a while back. Looks like you're on your way. Good luck Mate
Nice!! Can't wait to see the footage. I'm a big Insta360 One user (see my rollercoaster footage on my channel!) and I absolutely love the shots I'm able to get cropping 360º footage down to standard flat 1080. My only disappointment is the low quality of the 1080 videos it outputs, so I can't wait to see what their next 'One' camera is. Crossing fingers for 4K video at One sort of prices because the Pro/Pro 2 are WAY out of my price range! :-D
Thanks and they'll be loads coming. The next insta360 one is being announced on the 10th. I don't think it'll be much higher res but the 5.2k of the GoPro Fusion makes a massive difference so we'll hopefully get that at least.
Hi, can you plug the Pro 2 camera directly into a computer to copy the files without taking out all 6 + 1 cards? Also, does it work on a pc or just Mac? Lastly, someone said no wi-fi below? I thought it had wi-fi? Thanks.
Yes you can connext via USB c to transfer files. Worked with windows and mac. And the Pro 2 has WiFi built in, the range is better than the Pro 1, plus it has a separate system to extend the range up to 300m.
Thanks. It's not something I've tried, my Pro 2 has always been safely on the ground. The Farsight system is meant to work at massive distance on a drone though, I get good distance line of sight on the ground.
@@RaMarcus Thanks a lot for your answer!, i understand the 6 micro sd cards are necesary to operate the Pro 2, once the videos are made there is possile to extract to PC just with cable or the USB converteers in the kit are necesary? thanks!
Hi, I've been thinking of getting an Insta 360 pro2 myself, but wanted to see the quality of the photos and videos in 3D on my GO. Apart from RUclips where else do you post your content. Thanks
Here's a virtual tour I recently did. I used HDR instead of bracketing so there are over exposed sections but it's still nice. If you have a VR headset the tour is in 3D. roundme.com/tour/319392/view/1048866
Nice photos, this could be the camera for me, looking forward to seeing more. Are you going to put some photos on Gala 360, I like the way you can swipe through the photos I find it more user friendly. You might want to add 3D to your descriptions, that's what I always look for first. 😃. I've given you a follow on Roundme and RUclips. 👍
The 8K sample videos from the official site look great on my Oculus Go. Even if they are only 2D :( Would be great, if you can give us some 6K/3D videos, since Oculus Go isn't capable to play 8K/3D yet (only 8K/2D).
That's my plan, I was taking 3D photos in my living room last night and on my Go is sureal how detailed they were. Almost like being there... But I was there. 😂
How much storage does 1 hour of 360 8k video at 30fps take? How long will those 64 gb micro cards hold? Can you run 5 or 10 fps and does that significantly reduce storage requirements?
No worries, thanks for watching. I bought another two sets of memory cards and two ssd drives to transfer off. Its going to be fun editing anything of any length. 😉
Nope but I have one on order and will grab a h3 VR in November when they're released. The fan is an issue but you can turn it off for 15mins slots of time.
RaMarcus well, if you record long sequences without the fan you might will get an overheat warning ⚠️ on your phone and see the lights on the cam blinking red. I wish you good luck with the cam.
I just got mine (over $6000 with taxes and stuff) and it's a nice little camera. It's just ok, nothing fancy. Image quality is not so much better than my 4 years old 8K Omni rig, but fast workflow, stabilization and 3d are quite nice features. I know this thing will be obsolete very soon but I really don't mind. BUT! I have to say that this feels a little bit obsolete already. I don't know why. Anybody know why gyro stabilization not work with 3d?
It's different to matterport, this can do video a whole lot more. But here is a tour I've done, view it in a VR headset and choose the WebVR option from the menu to see the 3D roundme.com/tour/369519/view/1261280 I think the camera is great nad produces some great quality photos and video. If you do buy one, use this link and get a free battery and charger (you get about an hour per battery so it's worth getting extra for sure) www.insta360.com/sal/Pro_2?insrc=INR84ZH
Yeah you need v30. They're big, if you use the 9 bracketed shots you only get about 30 photos in that 64gb card, but if just the single dng you'll get 200 or more I think, but I've never fully loaded a card (too much data to lose).
@@RaMarcus Roughly what size is dng file? How many megabytes. I'm planning to rent this camera for vr city tour. Is 3ev bracket enough to recover highlight detail and shadows? I'm thinking about single dng vs 3ev dng bracket since I'll take a lot of pictures for that vr tour
I'm using it for business so got the insurance as an add on to my public liability insurance. I got simplybusiness.co.uk to give me some quotes, their cheapest one was the best value in the end. Only frustrating thing is videography and photography are two separate jobs so you need to make sure you're covered for both.
My plan is to begin producing a lot of 360 content and experiences primarily for free. I am starting a RUclips channel (not the one I'm using now), as well as VeeR, and other VR platforms, to build an audience and a community. I then want to use Patreon, adverts, usual monetising techniques, to fund the company and grow from there. I see 360 content, VR experiences, in the timeframe of RUclips 2007 with the next five years about to explode with influencers, etc. My channel's general theme is going to be travel (I've been a travel blogger since 2011 - www.morningcalmblog.com) but also I write scripts, short films, etc so I want to produce my own comedy content as well. With the Pro2, I can also look at more corporate work (I'm a chartered chemical engineer) and provide training experiences in an industry I know very well. I'm open to ideas on types of content I want to produce because I want to make sure it's suitable for current VR users. I just spent a lot of time making Dynamic Spanish (a 360 video Spanish course) but the VR market isn't there yet. My wife and I have scrimped and saved at corporate career jobs for 5+ years and are now living in Spain, exploring, and wanting to create quality experiences and make a business out of it. The Pro2 purchase is mainly about image quality. I've been filming since February with the Yi 360 VR (2 lens, £~300), which isn't a bad camera and the workflow is simple enough but I'm committing 18 months of my life into this, so I want to use a "proper" camera. I've been umming and arring for too long about this and just need to commit once yourself, CreatorUp, or another camera tester on RUclips just confirms the camera isn't a dud with some real world testing of filming AND workflow. I need to bite the bullet, press purchase, then spend another few grand building a new PC that can handle the 8K 3D content as well :) Out of interest, what's your PC/Mac build like? Happy to talk more about it, hopefully add some value your way. Message me on LinkedIn / Facebook and we can text or call if you want to speak more. I would love to hear about your plans and I'm sure we can help each other out (technical issues, as well as business advice, etc). I'm not the best replier on RUclips, as I close the tab due to it sucking time out of my day with all the great content on my feed :) My VeeR channel is here - I recently followed you and you reciprocated: veer.tv/vr/Morningcalm/home P.S. This is the longest thing I've ever written on RUclips, haha.
That's the longest thing I've ever read on RUclips as well. Sounds like we're in a similar place in life and the Pro 2 is key to me breaking away from the corporate environment and setting up on my own. Only left last week and now it's time to get some work under my belt. My PC is a laptop with an 8770 i7, Nvidia 1060 and 32GB of RAM. It seems fine for the job so far, maybe just takes longer than a quicker machine hut its the rendering and proxy files that take the time. Just have to leave it rendering away for a few hours at a time. Let's stay in touch. 👍
Get a free battery and charger when you order your own Insta360 Pro 2 with this link www.insta360.com/sal/Pro_2?insrc=INR84ZH
This is so cool. Can't believe it takes so many memory cards. Wicked coool!
I know, it's so it can record up to 120mps per lens, the files are huge! 😂
Wow this is really cool. Can't wait to see 3d 360 videos on this channel
It's sureal, last night I was taking 3D shots of my living room and when watching them back in the Oculus Go it was super realistic (which I know sounds strange to say but it's very cool).
Oh man that's so cool. Cant wait to see what content you put out there. Not really sure what I would want to see lol, never really thought about it.
Yeah it's a crazy piece of kit, maybe I'll expose you to some new things with it. 😉
I'll be watching!!!!
Dude you beat me lol. Good job!!
Thanks Hugh. I'm sure your unboxing will be better than mine. 😉👍
lol.

Very cool, I’m so jealous. 😉 You should look into paddle antennas for extended video range.
Good idea, but it does have Farsight which extends it hundreds of meters so it's maybe not needed. 😉
Cracking bit of kit!!
Agreed, testing it out now and really impressed so far.
For a paying job? What? We are not getting alllll of your attention!? Great job mate, thanks a ton
You guys will still be getting a lot of my attention... Especially you mate. 😉😉
How many minutes do you get on with the Memory Card Accessory Bundle Includes 1x UHS-I SD card, 6x microSDXC Memory Cards, 7x readers, and 1x Hub?
A set of 64GB cards gives you about 1hr.
@@RaMarcus Thank you very much final question is there a way to power the Insta360 pro 2 externally i.e via the USb through power bank.
I'm still struggling to get mine to connect to the Farsight. Just error messages and so much boringness. Can't wait to get it going.
I've not tested my Farsight yet, the WiFi is grest as it is. But I will 😉

Yeah I half decided not to announce it I think the attention might be too mhc. But basically set up a business and this camera is key. 😉

Yes, been using it today at an event taking 360 photos, worked well. Just need to go through and stitch them all now. 😂
Can you recommend a tripod for this camera. Up to 6ft from ground.
I use Manfrotto legs, get the sturdest you can afford. And the medium or large manfrotto VR pole. I use weight bags to keep it stable. Works well.
