finally! someone straight to the point and effective directions. thank you! also appreciate the way you speak- you're so easy to follow with the clear directions.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am fairly a newbie. Have used the pen before but has been a while and want to get back into using it for journaling in my scrapbook pages. Clear and concise.
Thank you so much for your tutorial on writing. For some reason yours was the only one that made sense!! You're an angel and saved this newbie from seeing if her cricut joy could fly!! 🙏
Wow. I have been trying for over 6 years to find a way to write inside a card I guess I wasn't searching for the right thing. Thank you for the head start and such clear explanation. New sub here. .
@@littlecraftnest First video I've come across that explains this so well. This whole time I had no idea it was based on the font capabilities. Thanks!
This was a great video! Thank you. You wouldn’t believe how many people “teach” without giving location directions. 9upper right corner, etc). Really well done and I got the information I’ve been searching for.🎉
Not all fonts have a writing option but you can change the operation to pen and DS will outline your selected font. You can also search Cricut fonts by filtering them and search for writing fonts. Hope that helps.
You can use the pens on regular paper and cardstock but if you wanted to use pens on vinyl it would need to be writable material otherwise the ink will smudge. I actually have a video of using the pens with writable material you can watch here ruclips.net/video/zjx2RIIt7CE/видео.htmlsi=XkO23nRYWPhyUvsg
Is the pen color switching feature only available with a subscription or is it standard with the free version? I want to be able to make drawings with 3 colors
I keep trying to bring in SVG files with simple lines, but the design tool keeps outlining the lines as it did in this video for the text. I am trying to draw simple elements on cards, not cut them (which seems why this outline keeps appearing). Do you know of a way to create these SVG files so they import as a simple line and not a "complex" outlined line when importing into the Cricut design space?
When you import an image into DS and change the operation to pen it will outline your image, instead of cutting where the cut lines were it will now draw. I’m not sure I understand what you mean by complex lines verses simple lines. If you only want an outside line (so you have a silhouette of an image) you can contour out the middle pieces. Hope this helps.
@@punkw4449 how did you do that? I been trying to figure out why it keeps outlining every time. I was trying to make my sons graduation invites. I just couldn’t figure why it would outline instead of just writing normal.
@@mrscampos3859 I don't know how familiar you are with adobe illustrator, but I created my own font to get the results I wanted. I believe when you try to bring in a font from somewhere else, it always traces it. And I didn't want to pay.
I’m wondering how to load my four-point pin? I know how to load it on my actual physical cricket printer, but I don’t know how to tell cricket in the app to use the pin. I’ve looked up 1000 videos and none of them. Tell me how they all already have the pin selected in the tools😂
Your video is well-made, and I appreciate your effort in creating it. However, I noticed that you don't often use the word "to" after "going" in your speech, such as saying "I'm going unclick writing." While I understand that language can be flexible, the absence of "to" after "going" can be somewhat distracting to some viewers, myself included. It might be worth considering this linguistic convention for improved clarity and flow in your content.
Not detailed enough especially if somebody just beginning you’re missing basic information of how to do this did not help me at all I could not follow too fast

Thanks, i will use marker to make word labels for my classroom
Sounds like a great plan.
This is just amazing! Thank you so much! Can we write also on very thick handmade paper with this pen?
Absolutely! That would be a very fun project!
I definitely like the gel marker the best!!!
Excellent for me. You have explained so perfectly, thank you very much. From Cathy in the UK ❤

This was so helpful! I totally forgot about the style drop down - no wonder I have had issues getting writing fonts to work correctly!! 😳 Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Great tip. Im not getting the option to change style to writing, how do we do that?

It’s standard
gracias, por fin entendi muy bien todo
Glad you enjoyed it. That's great to hear.
How do I place the text box in the location I want it and make it stay? i.e. on the bottom of the front of the card.
Select your card layer and your text and click “attach”
Can this be used with all cricut air just the maker?
Yes it can be done with the Cricut Explorer machines.
I want to do Christian's fonts. Where do I get them?
I can I write on the gift boxes
How do you correct the typo?
Go back into Design Space, click on your text box and fix typo.
Where do find the dashboard?

@@littlecraftnest Thank you! I believe I have figured it out. I need to create designs using the line or pen tool in illustrator.

I don't have that option in my maker. So frustrating
Except you said "congratulations on you wedding"

Thank you for your feedback. It’s something that I’ve been working on. I hope you find that my recent videos have a better flow.
I can’t believe you said this. But I must acknowledge how politely you said it with the least offence intended

Hope you fixed up the spelling. Your, not you.
This distracted me the whole video!!!!
