Thank you so much. I have been drawing display cards for my hand made crafts by hand and having my son help cut each one out by hand. I just needed to know how to have our little cricut DRAW rather than cut... thank you so much for this helpful video.
You’re welcome. I’m sure your production will definitely be faster now! Happy crafting!
Excellent instruction! I haven’t had time to try the pens yet, but when I do, I will refer back to this video. So pretty! Happy Easter!✝️
Thank you. Happy Easter!
Thanks for showing how to make these projects. Look great!
You’re welcome. Happy crafting!

New to Cricut and DS …what a great video, thanks ❤x
You’re welcome. Happy crafting!
I am not that good with my Cricut but trying to learn, LOL. I'm trying to make a project for my neighbor and it would be very helpful if I could outline a section with the pen. My question is can I use the pen on gloss vinyl? Also this is going on their truck so it will get rained on. Thank you for help and your Wonderful Videos ❣❣❣
Glad you enjoyed the video. I guess that would depend on what type of pen and what type of vinyl you are using. I would probably stay away from gel pens and pick a black permanent marker. I would suggest doing some testing first. Draw on a small piece of vinyl with the pen or marker you plan to use, let the ink dry and then maybe run it under a tap to see if it will hold up. All the best!
You REALLY explain well!! Maybe a bit slower though, if possible.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the feedback.
How did you know which pen to start with? Great tutorial!
Thanks. It will say on your screen when to use each colour pen.
Ahhhh, I didn't know Cricut had free tags in its database. I need to start checking the free stuff.
Yes they come in quit handy!
@@littlecraftnest If you ever do a big bulk amount then it would be a good idea (if your cardstock is on the cheap side) to make some rings from pernament adhesive vinyl.
Sometimes my iPad won’t let me select anything but “basic cut”. Does anybody have a solution for this?
Hi, how do you size the things that you do. And put it into inches?
At the top of your Canvas under 'size' you can adjust your size. If you need to change from imperial to metric (or vice versa), click on your profile name (currently top right of your screen) then click on 'settings', click on 'canvas' and then switch you unite of measurement. I hope that helps.
Wait!! Did the cutting part take place automatically after the drawing was done?
Yes it did.
When I click on attach and then make it, it wants me to print and cut... not draw... not sure why.
That’s frustrating. Here’s a few things you can check.
- Double check that you are not accidentally clicking “flatten” instead of “attach”
- make sure you have selected the pen operation
- is there a layer on your canvas that is set to print then cut?
- try restarting design space
I hope you can figure it out. All the best.
Thank you Cricut didn't explain this very well
You’re welcome!
