    The Suzuki S-Cross has earned high acclaim for its stylish design, compact and easy to manage dimensions, good on-road performance as well as off-road capability with its optional ALLGRIP Select 4x4 system. It is now replaced by an all-new model which takes advantage of Suzuki’s long established expertise in packaging vehicles above their class with flexibility, an even higher level of safety equipment and the latest technology to meet the diverse needs of both driver and passengers.
    The S-Cross expresses Suzuki’s SUV styling heritage and the new model makes a strong statement featuring a bold and more muscular design that enhances its presence with larger and more angular wheel arches and smooth flowing lines. The front end design incorporates a raised bonnet line, piano black front grille and new design three LED position headlamps that help portray a high centre of gravity. This theme continues at the rear with larger combination lamps that integrate horizontally with the rear centre garnish to emphasise a sense of width, in addition to roof rails and integrated rear spoiler. This all-new design is complemented with a more spacious and versatile interior and an even higher standard and safety specification than the previous model.
    Standard equipment for Motion is comprehensive and includes seven airbags, 17-inch painted alloy wheels, three signature LED projector headlamps for low and high beam, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with speed limiter, keyless entry and start, dual zone auto air conditioning, heated front seats and front and rear parking sensors.
    Moving up to Ultra adds 17-inch polished alloy wheels, leather seat upholstery, integrated on-board navigation, panoramic sliding sunroof and further driver safety and convenience with the fitment of a 360 view camera.
    The new S-Cross Hybrid has a six-speed manual transmission and gear ratios are optimised to help provide a good combination of performance and fuel economy. Additional measures added include a shift lever counterweight to help provide a smooth, positive shift action. An optional six-speed automatic transmission is available for both Motion and Ultra grades. For greater driver enjoyment, this transmission also offers paddle shift control with levers located behind the steering wheel.
    The front suspension is of MacPherson strut design. During the initial development of the new S-Cross, revised shapes for the lower arms and suspension frame were utilised and improved struts adopted for higher rigidity and to also promote better driving stability. The rear wheel suspension incorporates a beam design (a closed section consisting of a pipe crushed to form a “U” shape) that Suzuki first adopted in the previous model S-Cross and also utilise in the Vitara. This beam design provides superior rigidity and ride comfort.
    The spring rate of the coil springs as well as damper tuning have also been optimised during development to further improve handling stability and ride comfort.
    The new S-Cross has ventilated disc brakes at the front and solid disc brakes at the rear. During development, weight savings and drag reductions in the calliper design help provide superior braking performance and also assist fuel economy.
    Ultra grade specification includes a large sunroof consisting of two individually sliding glass panels which extends over the front and rear seats, making the cabin more relaxing for all occupants.
    When the sunroof is closed, the glass panels have a combined length of 1,000mm. When open, the aperture has a length of 560mm giving occupants an invigorating open-roof experience.

    Probably best in-depth review on internet. I think Suzuki use Pioneer navigation in this car! The only downsize of this car is that slow infotainment. For car with so much technology, they should set newer and faster infotainment!

    Nice review. I own the previous model of the scross boosterjet 1.0 which rear suspension is not ajustable, like the front suspension. So your camber and rear tyres will wear out crooked. Can you tell me if the rear suspension of this model is indepent like thefront one on this 4x4 type? Thanks

    Good afternoon, I was on the test today and on seltos and suzuki s-cross, and generally got lost. Seltos seemed to me prettier and bigger, inside the trunk is larger. It rides the norm, I drove a Suzuka in a simple configuration, but I wanted it with a leather interior, it looks many times better, and feels cooler. But I drove on the usual one, it seemed quieter in the cabin than the Seltos, and it is faster. At the expense of softness, somehow I didn’t understand, + - the same start-stop on s-cross is not audible at all, on seltos you can hear how it starts, but again, the problem is fuel consumption. This is very important for me, according to the stories in the salons, they have the same consumption + - the same, somehow I can’t believe it, I think based on the reviews of the s-cross, the average consumption is 7 liters. As I understand it on seltoc, the reviews differ, some have 5.6, some have 12-13, I can’t understand. Would be grateful if there is some personal experience !

    It is made in Hungary! Very practical car and well balanced middle level quality on every side, outside and inside as well ! The price is 2/3 rd than other western/eastern SUV! Please do not put on to the same page with Dacia which is made in Romania and having very poor and low quality in terms of technic, material, and build quality!!!

    • @skytehpanda
      @skytehpanda 2 года назад

      What you mean with poor Dacia quality? I own Dacia and I have driven both S-Cross and Suzuki Vitara, quality is no way worse than Suzuki not to mention Stepway outcompetes Vitara in everything, space, screen size, options and costs 7-8k less than Vitara. S-cross is even more expensive. So I completely disagree with you on every point.

    • @Sz.Peeter
      @Sz.Peeter 2 года назад +7

      Yes, the S-Cross made in Hungary, but why is this important?
      By the way, you’re right, the S-Cross is not the same page with Duster, but not because the S-Cross was made in our country. The S-Cross is a very good car, the interiors quality is much better, it has a good engine, with mild-hybrid technology, and it has style. But this is a crossover. The Duster is better in Off-Road. It has a better 4WD technology. So if somebody would like to drive in the forest, the Duster is better. If you would like to use it in the city, and the highway, and you have family, than your car is the S-Cross. That’s why I ordered an S-Cross GLX Panorama with AT and 2WD.
      But please don’t say this bullshit that a car can be better because it was made in our country and not in Romania. This is a shame that hungarian people beleive “we are better than everybody else”.
