    Very good review. Rightfully, you described the ride comfort and handling in great detail, something most reviewers ignore. I think ride comfort is more important to most family orientated buyers rather than go-kart like handling. Its madness to expect a family car to handle like a porsche .

    I have the 1.4 Boosterjet Motion 2WD mild hybrid, and I can say that it's a fun, quite powerful engine that really suits the car. Having driven both engines, I would agree that the 1.4 is the one to go for, over the 1.5.
    You have quite a bit more headroom in the back without the panoramic sunroof, and lots more boot space in the mild hybrid too - we did 3000 miles around Spain and Portugal with four adults and luggage, and it coped brilliantly.
    One thing I would add to the review, is that the rear seats recline - offering more comfort (and headroom) to back seat passengers. It looked in your video that they were in the more upright position.
    15,000 miles and no issues at all - a dependable, comfortable family car.

    Hi there, I have just bought one of these over the Easter weekend it's in the same colour as your test vehicle and it's the 1.5 mild hybrid automatic and so far I'm quite pleased the softest suspension is a very pleasant change coming from a John Cooper Works Mini I just wanted something that wasn't bonkers and just so much easier to drive especially as I'm getting on in years so for me it's perfect...cheers Phil from Newark

    I have a Vitara turbo and I like the relative simplicity that Suzuki offer across their range. You get all the nice stuff such as radar cruise, parking sensors, RCTA, etc and none of the yuck stuff such as CVT transmissions or Volkswagen reliability. The 1.4 Boosterjet is also a nice drive in relatively lightweight vehicles such as Vitara, S Cross, and especially the Swift Sport.

    Great review. I have the previous generation with the 1.4 boosterjet, this has 140hp and a great old fashioned 6 speed auto gearbox which is a highlight of the car coupled with the 4WD. The only reason for thinking of getting rid of it is the rubbish suspension but it looks like its much better in the facelifted version but I couldn't live with the much lower power and poor gearbox so I will have to look elsewhere.

      What is wrong with the suspension and gearbox?

    • @jeffpowley190
      @jeffpowley190 2 месяца назад +1

      @@thurules The new 4wd version is only available in the UK with a manual gearbox, the 2wd version has an automated manual gearbox rather than the very slick torque converter version in the older version. The suspension is poor over rough roads and surfaces, over potholes the car can be quite unstable.

    I have the Motion Mild hybrid in automatic, I find it very uncomfortable the driver seat is terrible, it also hesitates to pull away and you can feel every gear change and when it switches to hybrid mode

      Ask your self, do you really need 4x4? Or having more economy more is important for you?

    Ive had a drive in one and found it a bit underpowered, should be available with the 1800 Toyota engine that's in the Swace, the sunroof is great but I'm a lazy driver and would need electric handbrake and heated steering wheel , my old Nissan note had more space, the mild hybrid is loads nippier
