    I'll start adding details on my kit to the video descriptions in the future. In the meantime the windshield is by Vargo and is perfect for the Trangia Mini.

      Cheers mate. I bought a Trangia Mini largely based on your videos and the meals you've prepared. I know that you haven't posted in a bit, but Sea to Summit's lightweight folding spatula actually fits inside the mini kit perfectly with the Vargo windscreen. And the Gerber Compleat (proper spelling) is an awesome tool with a fork and spoon and spatula that combines in a brilliant way to make a way better set of tongs than those GSI tongs (garbage in my opinion). EBay is where to find that Gerber. Way cheaper than anywhere else. It doesn't fit in the kit, but would replace the need for a fork or that wooden spoon you use. Hope you get to posting again. Love your vids and meals.

    At last: An outdoorsman with taste! I get so tired of camp cooking videos where the main ingredient is boiling water or a packet of ramen. Really enjoyable, thanks!

    Yes, ketchup, a diamond of gastronomy. I appreciate your detailed prep and cooking process. Also to see you in sunny Spain as winter draws near here in Canada is great fun. Thanks again for sharing

    Thanks for the video. I’ve been walking 40km a day in the Moselle / Saar region, and can’t tell you how much your tips have helped me. It’s amazing how much more my Trangia can do than just warm soup and cook water. Sounds obvious, but when I watch the people around me I realise I’m not the only idiot that never thought about cooking in the way that you do.

      Good going Graeme. Cooking like this isn't always practical, but when it is, it's well worth the effort!

    You can put the eggs in a small bottle to travel with and shake and pour as much as you need. Love the meals you cook and have watched the lot nearly.

    Alright sunshine! What type of bread is that? Do they do dwarf loaves in Spain?
    Tried this without a rehearsal on Mini Trangia and standard British loaf slices way too big?😊

    • @ReluctantRider
      @ReluctantRider  2 года назад +1

      😂 most of the supermarket bread is tragically small here, and this bread was small even by Spanish standards. I'm living on finger sandwiches over here!

    Great recipe. Made me feel hungry! Your burner seems to like doing flamethrower impressions, even with the simmer ring in use. Do you think the windscreen might be doing too good a job and allowing the burner to get too hot (which I imagine would boil all the alcohol and greatly increase the vaporisation rate)? Just a thought.

    Nice vids on the mini. Try adding 10% volume of distilled water to the methylated spirits - helps to tame the flame a bit and also reduces soot

    What kind of fuel do you use?

    • @ReluctantRider
      @ReluctantRider  3 года назад

      Can't remember in this video. You can buy real cheap burning fuel in Spain which I tried but it didn't burn hot. This is either that stuff, methylated spirits, or a mix.
