Great vid, thanks. I did a Cumberland sausage in the frying pan but put the cooking pot on upside down to make a crude oven. It seemed to work alright. Me and my mate were 4 x 1664 in. We dint die and tasted sweet. Keep up the great content.
Thanks mate. Looking forward to returning to normality so I can get outdoors from some cooking. It's not the same setting up a Trangia on a kitchen table!
LOVE my Trangia T-28Mini kit. Bought it years ago. It's still going strong. I take a cast iron trivet as a flame tamer whenever I use the skillet. Makes it heat and cook more evenly. The trivet is about 6 inches, perfect for over the windscreen and under the Skillet. LODGE cast iron makes them in two sizes. I use the smaller one.
Yeh I had no idea these had been around so long. I've the 27 ages and remember my dads on from being a kid but had no idea about the 28 till more recently.
@@ReluctantRider yep, have the T27 Stormcooker set too in the ULHA. Now I'm looking strongly at the larger T25 DD 2.0 stainless steel Dorsal version if I can find some good RUclips reviews of it. Not many out there so far. For sure my Trangias are my go to kits for alcohol stove kits.
I make my own home made burgers and I always think pork and beef burgers taste much better than just beef. Great videos Luke, I'm enjoying watching them.
Have you seen the coke can simmer ring trick? The Trangia simmer ring often reduces the flame size too much depending on ambient temperature and the fuel you're using. The coke can trick is a good in between.
Not looked thru the video more than halfway and i hit the sub button 😂😂 looks like a cool channel 👌🏻i like to cook outdoors on hikes and rides as well. Hope to see some nice tips here!
Same thought as below. I Think the burner is getting too hot and vaporising the fuel in the main chamber. Take away the wind shield and the simmer ring should work properly. Great video series, keep the meals coming.
excellent, on egg use a tuna can with both ends removed, you will have a nice egg ring. You can use it to make loads of cooking delights. Subscribed loving the content.
amazing videos!, only thing i would suggest is using a mini nalgene bottle for the eggs! no point in keeping them in the shell as you only throw the shell anyway! :)
The trangia burner went into run away mode. That's why the flame was hard to settle with the simmer ring. Try denatured alcohol. It has a blue flame. When the trangia goes into run away mode the heat from the flame keeps bouncing back on the burner over and over again causing it to get too hot.
i love how you're a big bloke cooking big meals on a friggin mini. love it!

We have the same type of mates and 'refreshments' activity
Just picked up on your Trangia Mini cookups. Got to say mate these are great videos, inspiring me to get a bit more adventurous. Just subbed. Cheers.

Thanks for this, I was thinking the ferocious flame was something I was doing wrong. Looks delicious

@@ReluctantRider thanks, I’ve looked it up and will certainly give it a try

Thank Mattias. Yes the hot summer is almost over in Spain so the trips can start again!

You need to add a spatula to your kit! 🤣🤣🤣

That's a neat little wind shield. What brand is in?

Beast of a burger 👍🏻
Thanks dude.
Where did you get your wind shield from? I never seen one that small and have been looking for one for mini trangia for ages.
Hello mate. Windshield is by Vargo.
for fryinng i closed the lip halved then it was better..because full power burns the pan.....
Good juggling! :)
Have you tried Bio Ethernol? I find that to burn a lot less aggressive.
Thanks bud, I look into it.
Well done!
Trangia just wants to burn😂
Re-position / remove the wind screen. Your Trangia is burning too hot.
No more riding? 😰
Yeh off bikepacking this weekend. Videos not long after.
Next time cook one burger at a time to prevent it fro burning. A heat diffuser also stops food from burning.
Luke why did you call the ground the 'floor' ? I notice that this is a common mistake the English make.
🤷🏻♂️
