I so enjoy the description of the flames as dragons breath. My niece introduced me to halloumi this spring as a kebab, I’m inspired to try it as a burger, many thanks again
Thank you for watching! You've got a point there. Many channels are showing off outdoor cooking, but judging from the videos that are showing up in the suggested videos for me we're still a minority compared to the review and "surviving alone" channels. At the same time the comments suggest that many people like to eat something else than freeze dried meals at camp and I'm more than happy to leave suggestions on that subject, since I enjoy cooking. All the best to you, and cheers!
There's a channel, "Var redo", that did a side-by-side test of pure and diluted spirit. It's a swedish channel but I think the test can be interesting anyways, hopefully the autotranslate works good enough. ruclips.net/video/XGarbC4_h_k/видео.html&ab_channel=VarRedo
A windy day in Gothenburg...brings back memories - at least your camera stayed upright.😆 I have never rated Halloumi but you do almost convince me to give it another go. Isn't it about time your channel was given a Michelin star? Always great stuff!
No wind fall this time, gotta be grateful for small blessings. I guess halloumi "tastes like chicken", that is, has no taste of its own except salt. In Sweden it has the nickname "squeek-cheese" when not heated enough. I almost get a fit when I see people use it raw in a salad, something that happens more often than I thought possible... About that star, to earn it I got to have dinner guests. I wonder if there are any volunteers? All the best my friend!
Ooooh yes, I know this "squeek-cheese" (Quietschekäse in german) 😄- it taste not bad ... with the right amount of spices. The pickled onions are a good idea - I have to try it! 👍 One other good thing of halloumi is, you can take it on multiple day hikes where regular beef for shure will spoil, the halloumi stays eatable. The rain is giving me hope, too. Mid august I'm back in Sweden and I am looking forward to find some Karl Johan and of cause Kantarell. 😊
Hey, hope everything is good. Been right here but just not posted anything very often. Will pick up the pace for a while, got a couple of videos in the pipe. Cheers!
Halloumi cheese, that looks marvellous! I would have gone for natural yogurt with a bit of mint sauce in and sweet chilli sauce, instead of the sriracha mayo, but it looked delicious. Where did you get the butter dish from? It looks a handy size.
Sounds great! The butter comes from a set of small containers for bringing lunch so that you can keep things separated until you eat it, like many other things it seemed like a great idea on purchase but got very little use in reality. You could say it got a second life outdoors. Cheers!
Hi, what a delicious burger. Have to try this one some day, when I am out. Do you think that the Trangia triangle would be a better choice to use with the Trangia mini? Spirit burners in windy weather are always a problem. I‘d rather use my Trangia 27 then. 😊
I just got the Trangia triangle in the mail so I haven't had the opportunity to try it out yet, but by the looks it could possibly handle some wind better than the mini. I'll guess that I have to put it to the test in a future video. But in strong winds I know no other kits that are better than the Trangia 25 & 27. It's no wonder that they call them "Storm-cookers" in Sweden. Cheers Eckart!
So this pot & pan can be use continuously more or less half an hour ? I want to have it for my camping...gonna cook chilli chicken and rice because i'm an indian
Yes, absolutely. I've used the pots and pan from my Trangia 25 over the campfire for hours without any problems. It's more the thin titanium pots that have a tendency to warp from the heat. I hope you have a good camping trip. Cheers!

You're most welcome Stephanie!
Once again a gourmet meal in the forest 😋🤩
It wasn't half bad. I will do that again for sure. Cheers!
That looked delicious! Thanks much for sharing. And thanks for braving the wind to produce this video! Much appreciated. 👍🏻
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
Love your videos. You use such interesting ingredients.
Glad you like them!

Thank you Wayne! :)
Love the cooking. I enjoy a tad of mayonnaise with ketchup and mustard
Thanks Kathi! That's some classic condiments for burgers, always works. Cheers!
Great video of the Trangia mini. These are alittle ticklish to work with as they cook very quick. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching! Getting to know the Mini is a slightly longer process than I anticipated, but a fun process. :)
It's funny how outdoors content is turning into cooking shows nowadays lol

Looks delicious, maybe some bacon. mmmm mmmm
Bacon never spoiled a burger, that's for sure. Cheers!
