Another great experiment. I am amazed at how versatile the Trangia is. Look forward to trying g for myself. And cheers for watching SoN. Sorry it took so long to watch. I've been up against it this last few weeks.
I don’t even think Trangia are even aware of how versatile their kit is! I’ve been up against it too, the beauty of RUclips is it’s on repeat whenever you need it! Thank you for watching and. For keeping me entertained while I baked.
Love the idea of baking bread, whilst camping. Have found your channel after seeing you with Summit or Nothing. Loved the Trangia pizza. Love to see more from you and try to cook some of these things with the kids whilst out walking and camping.
Pain Family Adventures amazing to see you here. Hello! Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words. I’m really looking forwards to adding more on here. If you have any thing you want to see cooked. Let me know and I’ll do my best.
K H Thanks for the sub and WELCOME to this crazy party of yeast bread and ROAST DINNERS and the occasional tips and the like! Thank you for taking the time to comment and I'm looking forwards to sharing more tasty recipes soon!
Your videos are great, I’m kind of a lazy camper but I’ve made corn bread (pre-mix from the box) in my billy pot and turned out delicious. Someone in another video mentioned the mini Packs inside the billy pot, which I think is a brilliant idea, I just ordered this and plan to do the same. Your videos show how versatile this system can be. Keep up the good work and Thanks.
carmen martinez thanks so much!!! I learn a lot from the comments on my channel. I think even when we put a tiny bit of effort in. That effort translated into a more satisfying meal. Thanks for watching!
Looks quite tasty thanks for sharing. One experience I made during my hikes, always mix in the bowl or another plastic bag so that you can keep some flour if you had add too much water.
Absolutely. Also, I think that from now I will mix in the bowl. At least finish the kneading in the bowl as I get a nicer finish when I do it like this. Also I did a test run before filming and I managed to get it to raise to about 20mm. Sod’s law that when I film it, it doesn’t behave. Thank you for watching. Also... this weekend I am camping with my father and want to try your sausages. Would you be happy if I film how I get on with a link to your video?
@@OffTheBeatenPot maybe add some baking soda as well, did helped with my last breads. Great that you will try the sausages. Have a great time with your dad. Of course you can link that I would be happy. As soon as you video is up I could put it in my comments as pinned post.
That’s great! I’ll make sure to do you proud. Also, baking soda. I wanted to use it but ran out! Thanks for the tip though. And if you’re ever in the uk. Give me a heads up and we can get cooking together.
Forrestechs I am definitely going to Sweden one day. I would love to explore there. I need to make a pilgrimage to see the Vassa in Stockholm. It’s high on my list.
Well I’ll put more recipes up for even the laziest of adventurers. And if your considerations of this turn into you doing this. I wanna hear all about it.
I enjoyed the video. I think i will pick up a small tube of Pillsbury Grands Biscuits. I will have to bring Honey and Butter. Thanks for the great idea. .
It could. the lifting is mainly for avoiding hotspots. And I decided against the simmer ring as I wanted a higher heat when I lifted. The main key thing I’ve learned is to heat the top. So next tim I think I’ll rotate constantly like a did with my roast beef.
Fresh bread...uummm, lovely! Technical question...what would happen if you cooked the bread in a (fry) pan with no lid? Would it still rise? Would it be recognisible as bread? Would it become a biscuit? Would it be in edible? Sorry...more than one question there! Great little video.
+Ken Henley this would be fine to do. The pot was a little experiment to see if I could mimic a Dutch oven to attain a better rise. If I hadn’t have messed up the dough and or added some baking powder. It would have risen much more. A pan works great and on the channel Summit or Nothing, I made a curry with a pan fried ‘Peshawari’ bannock(ish) bread
I bake sourdough bread and love it, but on camp I prefer baking it in a heavy Dutch oven. For the trangia bannock bread is the best. Much easier than yeasted bread on the stove.
I've just been pointed at your channel as someone else who likes to play with a Trangia Mini! I admire your attempts to create a proper bread. I try and cook proper food either with a fire when possible or on the Trangia Mini. My bread however is still a cheats bannock with self raising flour and baking powder. Can make a great light bannock, but it isn't real bread though :-) The best breakfast one came here (link to the actual bit rather than the whole interminable video ruclips.net/video/-B3HIyMCil4/видео.html ) and last camps rescue (I forgot the muffins I was going to take) comes here ruclips.net/video/5UDX4MES9iI/видео.html Oh, and congratulations on the 250 subs! 247 when I subbed earlier today and 250 already. Rocketing ahead! All the best, Chris.
Chris Auton Thanks so much for the comment. When I get a mo I will check out your videos and channel. Looking forward to seeing what you’ve got! I’ve since done better at the bread and I will share a video one day. A pleasure to ‘meet’ you.
Of course. I added too much water and it was sloppy rather than firm. I would have also have liked knead it properly but I was trying to be fancy by doing it in the bag. Bags I no longer use anyway.
Is it possible to BAKE BREAD on a TRANGIA MINI? Uh, ... no! So many things wrong about this. The mini would be better suited for making bannock bread or a flat bread.

A proper yeast bread on a trangia. Loved it! Subbed. ☺️ thank you.

What fuel did you use? Great idea.
Bioethanol. It’s the cheapest fuel I can get here. And I find it burns really well
Well... No one is born walking.
Haha. Great saying. Thanks

I like to try things.
